the ORGANIZERS DIPARTIMENTO DI INGEGNERIA INDUSTRIALE UNIVERSITA DEGLI STUDI DI NAPOLI FEDERICO II BSIM ENGINEERING The EHRG Engine Hydraulic Research Group was founded in 2010, and built both on the passion of its founders for engineering simulation and on 20 solid years of experience in CAE Simulation. of the University of Naples Federico II has a long experience on the engine s lubrication and on the hydraulic fields. The group was founded by the full professor Adolfo Senatore 10 years ago and is composed by three mechanical engineers. BSim is a well known simulation software provider in the Italian region. Thanks to partnerships with several major software houses, BSim distributes software for: - 0D/1D lumped parameter dynamic simulation analyses (LMS Imagine.Lab Amesim- Siemens PLM) - 3D Computational Fluid Dynamics (Karalit CFD) - multi-objective, multi-disciplinary optimization (Kimeme- CyberDyne ) - topological and mechanical optimization (Inspire-SolidThinking) BSim s know-how was created on the field, actively supporting clients on engineering challenges, helping them overcome the hurdles of conception, design, production and validation of systems for automotive, aeronautical, mechanical and automation industries. This kind of experience is what allowed BSim, in, to create a new company branch, BSim Engineering Services, with a mission to provide this knowledge to customers looking, not only for a software provider, but also for a reliable engineering consulting partner. BSim Engineering Services can assist you with : - Turn-Key projects - Technology Transfer - Technical Staffing - Trainng Courses for simulation tools The group works basically on: - Optimization of the engine s hydraulic circuits to reduce the emission and the power pump s request. The group adopts different approaches for each analyzed case: simulation, experimentation or both. For this reason the group has an hydraulic lab and an engine test lab to test all the engine's hydraulic systems; - Optimization and design of all the hydraulic components like pumps and valves mostly using a 3D simulation methodology. Models were made using mono-dimensional and tri-dimensional commercial codes. The Group has research collaborations with important Hydraulic and Engine International companies and university like University of Minnesota, Ferrari SpA, FCA, Lombardini Koler Group SpA, Aprilia Racing and Duplomatic Oleodinamica SpA and Continental Hydraulic Inc
