Nautilus Commercial T914 And T916 Hardwired Power Cord Conversion Instructions Notice: These instructions describe the procedure to be followed for converting the T914 and T916 TreadMills to the hardwired power cord configuration. Please note that the Rear Power Input will no longer function after the conversion is completed. Time Required: This procedure will take up to 30 minutes to complete per TreadMill. Step 1. Preparation 1-1 Place the TreadMill on a sturdy work surface such as a table or cart. The work surface should be large enough to hold the entire TreadMill and be waist-high to avoid unnecessary back strain. 1-2 Remove the Top Motor Cover (PN 41080) and the Front Motor Cover (PN 41513). Set the Covers and Screws aside until Step 12. Step 2. Remove Front Power Input Assembly (Figures 1 and 2) Scissors or Diagonal Cutters 10mm Nut Driver or Socket Wrench 1/2" Nut Driver or Socket Wrench Figure 1 2-1 Cut the cable tie(s) that secures the group of Harnesses and Cables behind the Front Power Input Assembly (PN 41583). Make sure not to damage any of the wires. 2-2 Disconnect the Front Power Input Harness (PN 41618, Blue and Brown) from the Power Input Connector (PN 27307). Figure 2 19-1007_A Page 1 of 6
2-3 Loosen the two Nuts that secure the TV/Power Cable (PN 17847) to the Power Input Plate (PN 41584) and disconnect it. Set the Nuts aside until Step 3. 2-4 Loosen the four Screws that secure the Front Power Input Assembly to the Frame and remove it. Set the Screws aside until Step 3. 2-5 Discard the Front Power Input Assembly. Step 3. Install New Front Power Input Assembly (Figures 3 and 4) 10mm Nut Driver or Socket Wrench 1/2" Nut Driver or Socket Wrench Figure 3 3-1 Secure the new Front Power Input Assembly (PN 57-0035) to the Frame using the Screws removed in Step 2. Make sure the Cord Connector is facing away from the Frame. 3-2 Secure the TV/Power Cable to the Frame using the Nuts removed in Step 2. Step 4. Remove Front Input Power Harness (Figure 5) Figure 4 Flat Head (Blade) Screwdriver 4-1 Loosen the Screw that secures the Front Input Power Harness (PN 41618, Green/Yellow) to the Frame and disconnect it. Set the Screw aside until Step 9. 4-2 Disconnect the Front Input Power Harness (Blue and Brown) from the Power Switch (PN 41072) and remove it. Set the Harness aside until Step 5. Step 5. Remove Ferrite Bead (Figure 6) 5-1 Unwind the Ferrite Bead (PN 27318) from the Front Input Power Harness (PN 41618, Green/ Yellow) and remove it. Set the Ferrite Bead aside until Step 8. 5-2 Discard the Front Input Power Harness. Step 6. Remove Switch-To-Circuit Breaker Harness (Figures 7 and 8) Figure 6 Flat Head (Blade) Screwdriver 6-1 Loosen the two Screws that secure the Circuit Breaker (PN 27319 110V or PN 27308 230V) to the Frame and disconnect it. Set the Screws aside until Step 10. 6-2 Loosen the two Screws that secure the Switch- To-Circuit Breaker Harness (PN 27404, Blue and Brown) to the bottom Circuit Breaker terminals and disconnect it. Set the Circuit Breaker aside until Step 10. 6-3 Disconnect the Switch-To-Circuit Breaker Harness (Blue and Brown) from the Power Figure 7 Switch (PN 41072) and remove it. 6-4 Discard the Switch-To-Circuit Breaker Harness. Step 7. Install Power Cord Into Cord Connector (Figures 9 and 10) Note: The Power Cord(s) provided is country-specific. Make sure to use the proper Power Cord. 7-1 Loosen the Locking Nut from the Front Power Input Assembly Cord Connector (PN 57-0001) and remove it. 7-2 Slide the Locking Nut onto the Power Cord. 7-3 Slide the Power Cord into the Cord Connector. Install Ferrite Bead (Figure 11) 8-1 Slide the Ferrite Bead (PN 27318) onto the Power Cord Ground (Green/Yellow). 8-2 Wrap the Power Cord Ground (Green/Yellow) through the Ferrite Bead three times. Step 9. Install Power Cord Ground (Figure 12) Flat Head (Blade) Screwdriver 9-1 Secure the Power Cord Ground (Green/Yellow) to the Frame using the Screw removed in Step 4. Step 10. Install Circuit Breaker (Figure 13 and 14) Flat Head (Blade) Screwdriver Figure 12 10-1 Secure the Power Cord (Blue and Brown) to the bottom Circuit Breaker (PN 27319, 110V or PN 27308, 230V) terminals using the loosened Screws from Step 6. Make sure the Blue Conductor is on the On/Off switch side. 10-2 Secure the Circuit Breaker to the Frame using the Screws removed in Step 6. Figure 13 Figure 14 19-1007_A Page 5 of 6
Step 11. Install Locking Nut (Figure 15) 11-1 Hand-tighten the Locking Nut onto the Front Power Input Assembly Cord Connector (PN 57-0001). Step 12. Finish Warning: Make sure all fasteners are secure and all terminals are connected properly. Warning: Make sure the Circuit Breaker switch Figure 15 is in the Off position. 12-1 Gather all Harnesses and Cables together and secure them with a cable tie(s). 12-2 Install the Top Motor Cover (PN 41080) and the Front Motor Cover (PN 41513) using the Screws that were removed in Step 1. 12-3 Connect the Power Cord to the wall or floor outlet. 12-4 Turn on the TreadMill and test to make sure it is functioning properly. 19-1007_A Page 6 of 6
