Powder Coating Powder coating is available for all sized roof ventilators. Our smallest sizes, the 300mm and 360mm sized vents are all kept in stock in Colorbond colours. However our larger sizes, the 410mm, 530mm and 610mm are only powder-coated on request. We only hold our standard zincalume finish of these sizes in stock. Below are the Colorbond colours our vents are available in, we also stock and will still powder coat superseded colours such as Bushland, Headland, Plantation, Sandbank, Wilderness and Loft. Please Note: We also stock Terracotta, for the popular tile colour
Residential Calculation Domestic Ventilation Calculation STEP 1: CALCULATING AREA OF YOUR HOME To find the area of your home, you can either check your floor plans of your home. Or if you do not have access to these then you can simply find the length and width of the house and multiply them together. See the image to the right showing the length and width dimensions of the house. The equation below shows you how to use the figures. Area of the House = Length (m) x Width (m) AREA OF HOUSE (M 2) WIDTH (m) LENGTH (m) STEP 2: REQUIRED NUMBER OF VENTS Based on the minimum air exchange, the area covered by our ventilators are as follows: UNIVENT 300mm - 121m² UNIVENT 360mm - 140m² BIGBIRD 410mm - 181m² Therefore using the answer calculated from Step 1 you can select how many ventilators are required for your home based on the size you would like installed.

Commercial/Industrial Calculation Commercial Ventilation Calculation Guide With Insulation No Insulation STEP 1: From the table air changes per hour to the right, select a figure that represents the conditions of your factory/warehouse. This figure will be used in Step 3 to determine the required number of vents. Minimum heat producing processes & no fumes Moderate heat producing processes & slight fumes High heat producing processes & high fumes 5-7 4-6 7-8 6-7 8-11 7-10 Factory with fumes and boilers 8.5-13 8.5-13 STEP 2: VOLUME OF SHED/WAREHOUSE/FACTORY To work out the volume of the premises that requires ventilating, simply gather the measurements that are needed for the calculation. In this case we need the length, width and height all in metres. (Note: The image to the right illustrates where the measurements should be taken from) With the figures, simply enter them into the equation below. Volume (m 3 ) = length (m) x width (m) x height (m) STEP 3: REQUIRED NUMBER OF VENTS To work out the required number of vents for your building, you will need to select a figure from the table Exhaust Capacity CLS Ratings to the left. For a commercial/industrial building we recommend 410mm, 533mm and 610mm sized ventilators. Select a figure using the appropriate variables and the size of ventilator you wish to use. (Note: the bigger the vent, then the lesser the number of vents that will be required) Using this figure and the ones gathered from STEP 1 and STEP 2, input them into the equation below. Number of Vents = Volume (m 3 ) x ACH (air changes per hour) Exhaust capacity (litres per second) x 3.6 *Your answer should give you the amount of vents your building needs, try this method a couple times to work out the most suitable sized ventilator for your building
