Supporting Organizations: Certificate Courses on Noise Control, Road Traffic Noise Assessment, Architectural Acoustics Design, Road Traffic Noise & Railway Noise Measurement Programme Highlights and Course Outline The Hong Kong Institute of Acoustics (HKIOA) in association with the supporting organization of Hong Kong Institution of Engineers - Mechanical, Marine, Naval Architecture and Chemical (HKIE-MMNC) Division, Hong Kong Institute of Qualified Environmental Professionals (HKIQEP) and ASME Hong Kong Section (ASME-HK) are proud to present these courses which aim at providing the local professionals with a structured frame starting from refreshing the basic acoustics concept, noise control and management, assessment and measurement, to practical sessions with hands-on experience on three dimensional (3D) noise assessment, architectural acoustics design, road traffic noise and Railway Noise measurement. The noise syllabus in HKIQEP has also been taken into account in the courses. A Noise Control and Management Certificate will be endorsed by HKIOA, HKIQEP, HKIE-MMNC Division & ASME-HK and issued to the participants who registered and attended compulsory sessions 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 9 and 19, and then successfully passing the session 24 end-of-course appraisal and assessment. A Road Traffic Noise Assessment Certificate will be endorsed by HKIOA, HKIQEP, HKIE-MMNC Division & ASME-HK and issued to the participants who registered and attended compulsory sessions 5, 6 and 8, and then successfully passing the session 25 end-of-course appraisal and assessment. A Noise Monitoring & Measurement Certificate will be endorsed by HKIOA, HKIQEP, HKIE-MMNC Division & ASME-HK and issued to the participants who registered and attended compulsory sessions 1, 12, 14, 16, 17 and 18, and then successfully passing the session 26 end-of-course appraisal and assessment. A 3D Noise Modeling Certificate will be endorsed by HKIOA, HKIQEP, HKIE-MMNC Division & ASME-HK and issued to the participants who registered and attended compulsory sessions 5, 6, 20 and 21, and then successfully passing the session 27 end-of-course appraisal and assessment. An Architectural Acoustics Design Certificate will be endorsed by HKIOA, HKIQEP, HKIE-MMNC Division & ASME-HK and issued to the participants who registered and attended compulsory sessions 1, 2, 10, 11, 13 and 15 and successfully passing the session 28 end-of-course appraisal and assessment. A Railway Noise Measurement Certificate will be endorsed by HKIOA, HKIQEP, HKIE-MMNC Division & ASME-HK and issued to the participants who registered and attended compulsory sessions 1, 2, 22 and 23 and successfully passing the session 29 end-of-course appraisal and assessment. The Certificates will be recognized as HKIOA continuous professional development.
