UP 03145 was built by Southwork Foundry in 1926. The scale test cars were always to be hauled just in front of the caboose. Immediately upon arrival at the terminal, they were set aside and subjected to a minimum of switching. Under no circumstances were they to be used in switching other cars in the train. It sports the Pan Am speed-lettered logo and the familiar Pan Am globe herald. This rail car runs on black Barber roller bearing trucks with brown couplers. Pan Am Railways (PAR), also know as Guilford Rail System (GRS) before March 2006, is a Class 2 railroad covering northern New England from Calais, Maine, to Albany, New York. Road Number UELX 60176 This blue Evans 100 ton 3-bay covered hopper with fi xed elongated hatches displays large white AMD logo, uses the United Equipment Leasing Associates reporting marks UELX and runs on black Barber roller bearing trucks. In 1902, George A. Archer and John W. Daniels began a linseed crushing business and the Archer-Daniels-Midland Company was formed. ADM continues to partner with farmers and agriculture to create markets for their products around the globe. In 1962 the ADM logo was changed from the Archer yeoman to this logo design meant to represent chemical molecules coming from a natural resource. Atlantic Coast Line This 50 steel side, 15 panel, fi xed end gondola has a black body with large white ACL letters, Atlantic Coast Line lettering and runs on black Barber roller bearing trucks. One of 505 gondolas built for the ACL at Pullman-Standard s Bessemer, Alabama plant, 98588 was used for hauling a variety of loads over the many years it served on the line. Connecticut State Car Road Number CT 1788 Ontario Provincial Car Road Number ON 1867 This 40 standard box car with plug door is car #48 of a 50-car series representing each of the 50 states in the union. It bears the American Robin and Mountain Laurel fl ower, Connecticut s offi cial state bird and fl ower. The fl ag of the state of Connecticut is in the background. The road number 1788 represents the year The Constitution State was admitted into the union. This 50 standard box car with single superior door is car #6 of a series representing each of the Canadian provinces and territories. It displays the Common Loon and White Trillium fl ower, Ontario s offi cial provincial bird and fl ower. The fl ag of the province of Ontario is in the background. PL&E X103001 is a non-revenue tank car used to transport diesel fuel to the McKees Rocks shop. The McKees Rocks Yard facility, located in the borough of McKees Rocks, is located about fi ve miles northwest of Pittsburgh, PA. It was home to a yard, major locomotive rebuilding and general maintenance, as well as freight car repair and maintenance. Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Road Number ATSF 37564 This box car red 60 excess height box car with double plug doors, waffl e sides has white gothic ATSF lettering and runs on black roller bearing trucks. Built by Berwick Forge and Fabricating in November 1978, has a white mask across the top portion of the ends. It runs on black Bettendorf trucks. This car displays the standard paint scheme of the 1950s; the arched Northern Pacifi c lettering to the left of the door and the 3 logo with the slogan Main Street of the Northwest to the door s right. NEW FREIGHT LOAD! Oahu Railway & Land Co. Road Number OR&L 326 This light box car red 30 box car has the large, white Oahu Railway & Land Co. logo on left, white lettering and runs on brown Barber Coleman Arch Bar trucks. The Oahu Railway & Land Co. had a car plant in Honolulu where it manufactured its own cars and possibly cars for other lines as well. The OR&L logo was only used until the early 1930s. Union Pacific Road Number O.S.L. 47859 This aluminum 40 despatch stock car with single door has UP Armour Yellow sides with black lettering and runs on black Bettendorf trucks. This class S-40-10 car was originally built May of 1926 and rebuilt September 1934. When the Livestock Dispatch service was created to expedite stock to market, the U.P. repainted the cars April of 1947 at the roads Omaha shops. This fl eet of 300 rebuilds was assigned to that service. The cars were seen in operation into the mid 60s still wearing their original paint. The car works for the Oregon Short Line which is a subsidiary of the Union Pacifi c. Boston & Maine Road Number BM 80023 This B&M blue 50 rib side box car with single black Youngstown door and no roofwalk has large white billboard style letters and runs on black roller bearing trucks. Built by FMC of Portland, Oregon, in 1979, this car is equipped with a 20 Travel Keystone cushioned underframe, and assigned to paper service, not to general use. This box car was built April 1981 as class BS 204 and is from a fl eet of 176 cars. The NS stenciled individual car assignments on its freight cars for ownership reference and this group belongs to the Southern (SOU). The Norfolk Southern Corporation is a holding company that resulted from the 1982 merger of the Norfolk & Western and the Southern Railway. Those roads were the surviving companies of Wabash, Nickel Plate, Central of Georgia, Virginian, CNO & TP and others. Canadian National Road Number CN 143722 This 50 gondola with fi shbelly side and drop ends with large white wet noodle logo, white lettering, runs on brown roller bearing trucks and carries a log load. Part of a 1500 group of gondolas, 143722 was built in June of 1952. With a rated capacity of 160,000 lb. it was last shopped in March of 1963 these cars were used primarily for mill work.
