Factory Radio Removal -- Without Console 1. Before proceeding, eject disc(s) from factory unit if present. FIGURE 1 FIGURE 2 2. Set parking brake and disconnect negative battery cable to prevent any electrical short. 3. Pry up rubber mat inside storage tray above radio and remove two (2) Torx T20 screws (Figures 1 & 2). 4. Pry out edges of receiver trimpanel to release fourteen (14) clips. Disconnect wiring harnesses and remove trimpanel (Figures 3 & 4). Rubber Mat Storage Tray 5. Factory Radio Removal -- With Console These photos and instructions are for the purpose of radio removal for vehicles with a console and without factory 8 LCD. Although the photos show a navigation unit, the instructions are the same for a non-navigation vehicle with a console. No radio replacement is possible for vehicles with factory 8 LCD. Shift Trim Ring FIGURE 1 FIGURE 2 1. Before proceeding, eject disc(s) from factory unit if present. 2. Set parking brake and disconnect negative battery cable to prevent any electrical short. 3. Open storage compartment lid on console. 4. Carefully pry up around edges of shift trim ring to release nine (9) clips and remove ring (Figures 1 & 2). FIGURE 3 Rubber Mat 5. Pry up rubber mat inside storage tray. Remove two (2) phillips screws exposed by removal of rubber mat (Figures 3, 4 & 5). FIGURE 4 6. Factory Radio Removal -- With Console (continued) 7. Pry up center console top trimpanel to release seven (7) clips and remove panel (Figure 8). FIGURE 8 FIGURE 9 8. Pry off both lower side console panels to release clips and remove both panels (Figure 9). Center Console Top Trimpanel Lower Side Console Panels (1 of 2 shown) 9. Pry up rubber mat inside mini storage pocket beside receiver/climate control panel and remove one (1) exposed Torx T20 screw (Figures 10 & 11). 10. Pry off receiver trimpanel to release clips. Disconnect wiring harnesses and remove trim panel (Figure 13). 12. Remove four (4) 7mm screws securing factory radio. Receiver Installation Check to make sure the Crutchfield receiver wiring adaptor plugs into the vehicle receiver harness. If the Crutchfield adaptor is incorrect, please call our Technical Support Department at. A Standard DIN unit is shown. A Double-DIN receiver may also be installed following these same instructions but will also require some dash modifications as described in the dash kit instructions. 1. Prepare receiver and installation kit following instructions supplied with the dash kit. 2. Make wiring connections following instructions supplied with the receiver wiring adaptor received from Crutchfield. 3. Hold receiver assembly near dash. Connect receiver wiring adaptor to vehicle harness and plug antenna lead into rear of receiver. Receiver Assembly 4. Slide assembly into dash and secure with screws previously removed. 5. Test operation and reassemble dash by reversing removal steps. 5

Center Dash Speaker Instructions show factory size speakers or speakers with adaptor brackets only. Cutting or fabrication (not shown) will be required for other speaker sizes. 1. Pry up center dash speaker grille to release four (4) clips. Lift grille, disconnect sensor wiring harness and remove grille (Figure 1). FIGURE 1 2. Remove two (2) 7mm screws securing speaker. Pull out speaker, disconnect and remove (Figure 2). 3. Connect speaker wiring adaptor of replacement speaker to vehicle speaker harness. Speaker Grille 4. Secure new speaker with screws previously removed. 5. Test speaker operation, reconnect sensor and reinstall speaker grille. FIGURE 2 6

Corner Dash Speakers Instructions show factory size speakers or speakers with adaptor brackets only. Cutting or fabrication (not shown) will be required for other speaker sizes. 1. Pry up rear edge of corner dash speaker grille to release two (2) clips. Pull toward rear of vehicle to remove (Figure 1). FIGURE 1 2. Remove two (2) 7mm screws securing speaker to dash. Disconnect wiring harness and remove speaker (Figure 2). 3. Connect speaker wiring adaptor of replacement speaker to vehicle speaker harness. Speaker Grille 4. Secure new speaker with screws previously removed. 5. Test speaker operation and reinstall speaker grille. FIGURE 2 7

Front Door Speakers Instructions show factory size speakers or speakers with adaptor brackets only. Cutting or fabrication (not shown) will be required for other speaker sizes. 1. Starting at the top corner, pry out sail panel to release two (2) clips, then lift to remove (Figure 1). FIGURE 3 2. Pry open screw cover behind door release and remove one (1) exposed phillips screw (Figure 2). Screw Cover Door Release Trim 3. Pry out front edge of door release trim and remove (Figure 3). 4a. If equipped with power windows: Pry up power options switch panel to release clip, disconnect wiring harness and remove (Figure 4). 4b. If equipped with manual windows: Use a shop rag with a shoeshine motion to release C clip on rear of crank and remove crank (Figures 5 & 6). 5. Remove two (2) Torx T20 clips along the front edge of door panel (Figure 7). Continued on the next page. Remove three (3) Torx T20 clips along rear edge of door panel (Figure 9). 8. Lift door panel to remove (Figure 10). 9. Remove four (4) 5mm screws securing speaker. Pull out speaker, disconnect and remove (Figure 11). 10. Connect speaker wiring adaptor of replacement speaker to vehicle speaker harness. Rear Door Speakers -- Quad & Crew Cab Instructions show factory size speakers or speakers with adaptor brackets only. Cutting or fabrication (not shown) will be required for other speaker sizes. 1. Starting at the top corner, pry off window trimpanel to release three (3) clips and remove panel (Figure 1). FIGURE 1 FIGURE 2 FIGURE 3 2. Pry open screw cover behind door release and remove one (1) exposed phillips screw (Figure 2). Window Trimpanel Screw Cover 3. Pry out front edge of door release trim and remove (Figure 3). Remove four (4) 5mm screws securing speaker. Pull out speaker, disconnect and remove (Figure 11). 10. Connect speaker wiring adaptor of replacement speaker to vehicle speaker harness. Secure speaker to factory bracket with screws previously removed. 11. Test speaker operation and reinstall door panel by reversing removal steps. Rear Speakers -- Standard Cab Instructions show factory size speakers or speakers with adaptor brackets only. Cutting or fabrication (not shown) will be required for other speaker sizes. 1. Move seats forward. 2. Remove two (2) Torx T20 screws located inside storage tray behind seat (Figure 1). FIGURE 1 FIGURE 2 3. Lift storage tray to remove (Figure 2). Seat Belt Anchor 4. Remove one (1) Torx T50 bolt securing lower seat belt anchor and remove anchor (Figure 3). 5. Pull up rear edge of door scuff plate just enough to clear side panel (Figure 4). Remove four (4) Torx T20 screws securing speaker to side wall. Disconnect wiring harness and remove speaker (Figure 6). Scuff Plate 8. Connect speaker wiring adaptor of replacement speaker to vehicle speaker harness. Secure speaker with screws previously removed. 9. Test speaker operation and reassemble rear of vehicle by reversing disassembly steps. FIGURE 5 SAFETY CHECK Make sure seats and seat belts are secured to manufacturer s specifications. Rear Side Panel 12

Rear Roof Speakers Instructions show factory size speakers or speakers with adaptor brackets only. Cutting or fabrication (not shown) will be required for other speaker sizes. IMPORTANT No speaker adaptor bracket is available at this time from Crutchfield for this speaker location. It will be necessary to fabricate a mounting bracket in order to install an aftermarket speaker. FIGURE 1 It is possible that the replacement speakers do not have screws supplied. It may be necessary to acquire mounting hardware. 1. Pry speaker grille off headliner to release four (4) clips (Figure 1). Speaker Grille 2. Remove two (2) Torx T20 screws securing speaker to speaker housing. Disconnect harness and remove speaker (Figure 2). 3. Fabricate a speaker mounting bracket and secure speaker to bracket. FIGURE 2 4. Connect speaker wiring adaptor of replacement speaker to vehicle speaker harness. Secure speaker/bracket assembly to housing. 5. Reinstall speaker grille and test operation. 13

Rear Subwoofer Instructions show factory size speakers or speakers with adaptor brackets only. Cutting or fabrication (not shown) will be required for other speaker sizes. IMPORTANT It is possible that the replacement speakers do not have screws supplied. It may be necessary to acquire mounting hardware. FIGURE 1 1. Lift right rear seat bottom cushion. Retainer Strap 2. Release retainer strap, lift and remove cargo floor panel (Figure 1). 3. Remove two (2) 18mm bolts securing subwoofer enclosure to floor. Disconnect enclosure wiring harnesses and remove enclosure (Figures 2, 3 & 4). FIGURE 2 FIGURE 3 4. Remove six (6) Torx T25 screws securing front of subwoofer to enclosure (Figure 4). 5. Remove one (1) phillips screw on back of enclosure (Figure 5). FIGURE 4 FIGURE 5 6. Pull out subwoofer, disconnect wiring harnesses and remove. Subwoofer Enclosure 7. Place new speaker in enclosure and mark new locations for mounting holes. Remove speaker and drill holes with a 1/8 bit. 8. Connect speaker wiring adaptor of replacement speaker to vehicle speaker harness. Secure speaker to enclosure. 9. Connect enclosure harness and reinstall enclosure with screws previously removed. CAUTION: Always be careful when drilling in a vehicle. WEAR EYE PROTECTION. Be aware of things such as wiring, windows, fuel lines and safety devices. Check drilling depth and location to avoid damage to vehicle appearance. SAFETY CHECK Make sure seats are secured to manufacturer s specifications. 10. Test speaker operation and reassemble rear of vehicle by reversing disassembly steps. 14
