REMARKS. This manual simply describes the rules governing use and installing of the Ultimate Screen Blind. For different versions we would refer you to your supplier. If there is something in this manual that you do not understand or if you have doubts about any reading or interpretation thereof, please contact your supplier before using or installing the blind. In addition to the information on the operation and assembly, this manual also contains important instructions on maintenance and cleaning. The installing, technical maintenance, correcting failures and any repairs or modifications to the external roller blind must only be carried out by competent personnel. This manual belongs beside the external roller blind and must be carefully looked after. If the external roller blind is sold the manual must be handed over to the new owner. The owner or holder of the external roller blind must refer users (if third parties) to the manual, and also instruct these third parties to use the external roller blind in accordance with the manual. For more information you can contact the supplier. LIABILITY. THE SUPPLIER S GENERAL CONDITIONS SHALL GOVERN THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE SUPPLIER AND THE PURCHASER. THESE CONDITIONS RECOGNISE A LIMIT TO LIABILITY AND EXCLUDE CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS. THE SUPPLIER SHALL, ON THE BASIS OF THE GENERAL CONDITIONS, NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE AS A RESULT OF NOT COMPLYING WITH THIS MANUAL, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF INTENTION OR GROSS NEGLIGENCE ON THE PART OF THE SUPPLIER. Carefully read this manual before using or installing your external roller blind. Follow the contents of it and keep this manual for reference! EXPLANATION OF SYMBOLS. You will find safety notices at the necessary places in this manual. These notices are marked with a symbol and/or with a specific text. Read the relevant notice carefully! Danger / Warning! Sequence of action. Important information. SAFETY INSTRUCTION. Important safety instruction! Warning; it is important for the safety of persons that these instructions be followed! These instructions must absolutely be kept! Do not allow children to play with the external roller blind. Keep children away from the (remote) operation and the product. Check your external roller blind regularly for visible damage. If there is any damage to the external roller blind, do not use it anymore and contact your supplier. Do not try under any circumstances to carry out repair work and/or modifications to the external roller blind yourself. APPROPRIATE USE. Your external roller blind moves in an up- or downward movement and is mounted in front of windows or doors to provide: - Sun protection - Light control - Visibility control Watch out for strong winds and cold weather conditions. Your external roller blind cannot be used in strong winds ( 16.9 m/s) or if frozen. Make sure that the external roller blind is pulled in, in time, before the wind speed gets too high. Even in the case of fully automated control, you must pay attention to this. It is recommended that you use external control that includes both a wind- and frost module. With controls without a frost module, you must switch off the control in the winter period. The external roller blind must be used exclusively as sun protection, light control and visibility control. This product is not designed to serve as a lifting- or lever device. Ultimate Screen Installation Instructions Version 2.3 3

USE OPERATION. During the operation the external roller blind can be moved up or down. Bring the canvas fully up or down to prevent damage. Check for yourself, prior to use, that the canvas of the external roller blind is not frozen. Make sure that there are no persons or obstacles in the radius of action of the blind. If you cannot see this during the operation, then you must take steps to prevent accidents. OPERATION WITH ELECTRIC MOTOR. - Electric motor provided with switch. The switch is used to both raise and lower the external roller blind. The motors are designed for short use and fitted with a thermal cut-out that temporarily switch off the motor when there is overheating or overloading. After a cooling period of around 15 minutes the motor can be used again. - Electric motor connected to an automatic control. This means that the control is not carried out through a switch, but through an automatic control with priority. Depending on the situation operation may be available through an individual switch. Consult the manual of the automatic control! CLEANING When cleaning windows, gable or external roller blind, the power supply must be isolated. Do not hold on tight to the external roller blind or accompanying parts. Clean the product a minimum of once a year, however in seaside or industrial areas, a minimum of twice a year. Lower the external roller blind. Use sponge, clammy and clean water. Rinse with sufficient clean water. Let the canvas dry, before rolling it up When there is very bad soiling, we advise you to make contact with your supplier. Never use: - a high pressure cleaner - alkali-based or aggressive solutions - steel wool, hard brushes or abrasives FAULTS AND MAINTENANCE. Contact your supplier if there are faults and/or on maintenance. Faults and maintenance must always be solved out by competent personnel. If during use you see smoldering or smoke appear, switch the external roller blind off immediately. Then contact your supplier. INSTALLING. - Delivery. The product is delivered complete, as per the order. Check the delivery with the packing list. If parts are missing or damaged, you should contact your supplier. - Transport. After installing the external roller blind this manual must be given to the owner and/or the user. Depending on the weight of the product, we recommend having the transport and the installing of the product done by a minimum of 2 people. 4 Version 2.3 Ultimate Screen Installation Instructions

Clean with a sponge or soft brush dipped in water and soap. Do not use solvent or abrasive substance which could damage the fabric. Do not scrub. Rinse with clear water. In case of indelibly spot(s), call your installer Allow to dry completely fabric deployed. In case of tear or cut call immediately your installer who will decide what to do. CARE & MAINTENANCE OF COATED MATERIAL (BOX, BOTTOM BAR AND SIDE CHANNELS) Check if there is no broken or cracked part including end plugs of bottom bar and side channels. Clean side channels with vacuum air or air under pressure to remove any accumulations of deposits (dust, dead leaves ) which may affect the proper functioning. To ensure the decorative and protective properties of your coated material are maintained, it is recommended that a regular cleaning program is undertaken. Ultimate Screen Installation Instructions Version 2.3 5

The frequency of such cleaning will depend on many factors including: The geographical location of the building The environment surrounding the building, i.e., marine, swimming pool, industrial, or a combination of these environments etc. Levels of atmospheric pollution Prevailing wind Protection of the building by other buildings Possibility of airborne debris (e.g. sand/dust etc.) causing erosive wear of the coating. If the environmental circumstances change during the lifetime of the building (e.g. rural becomes industrial) In hazardous environments the normal frequency of cleaning should be at a maximum of three monthly intervals. However where there is high atmospheric pollution or an extremely hazardous atmosphere (i.e., a combination of factors above or others) the period between cleaning should be reduced. Where the atmosphere is deemed to be non hazardous, e.g., rural or a normal urban environments, then the period between cleaning can be extended up to a maximum of 12 months. However, if heavy soiling occurs more regular cleaning is required. Normal Environment: Clean and check every 12 months Marine Environment: Clean and check every 3 months Industrial Environment Clean and check every 3 months Marine & Industrial Environment Clean and check every 3 months Swimming & Leisure Pools Clean and check every 3 months The best method of care is by regular washing of the coated surface using a solution of warm water and a mild detergent, washed with a soft cloth or sponge. Rinse thoroughly with water to remove residue. In no circumstances should abrasive cleaners containing ketones, ethers or alcohols, or harsh materials such as steel wool, be used. For stubborn stains use mineral turps or methylated spirits on a soft cloth. Coated surfaces can be cleaned at the same time as glazing for convenience. Check the functioning. In case of any defects call immediately your installer who will decide what to do. 6 Version 2.3 Ultimate Screen Installation Instructions
