The Module receive the data from CAN bus, calculate needed values and NOx, after this transmit to engine ECU. It is connected to the vehicle CAN bus and adjusted on the software The Module has pins for connect to the power and to the CAN bus. Module description Module Inputs / Outputs and hardware levels in accordance with the developer of CAN bus Robert Bosch GmbH. The Module can be installed as on the vehicles with working SCR system, as on the vehicles with critical faults in SCR system and NOx sensors. * - On the Mercedes trucks may be appeared errors by air pressure, but this error doesn t reduce the power. The numeration of the pins you can see on the picture, view from the cable. The Modules are not marked for identification the version on the top of CAN bus filter, like Black Pass versions. No Mark NOTE: In some cases, during the installation may need to connect additional resistance (terminator) for the right operation the CAN bus, it is necessary to close the JP1 on the emulator. 1 4 JP1 Table 1. Pin 1. Module source. Must be connected to the power after ignition +24V (terminal 15). Pin 2. Ground Terminal 31. Must be connected to the ground of the vehicle (terminal 31). Module pin assignments Module modes The Module is selling in the programmed state. After installation the Module will be activated automatically. NOTE! The Module can be activated only once, but after activation can work on the same type trucks. Ex. If Module was activated at the MAN TGS truck can work at the MAN TGX truck too. Pin 3. CAN bus. Must be connected to the CAN High line of the CAN bus. Pin 4. CAN bus. Must be connected to the CAN Low line of the CAN bus. The Module working modes can be recognized by LEDs states (Table 2. LEDs states). VD10 VD8 Table 2. LEDs states LEDs State Working modes Description 1 Steady light VD8 Not activated The Module is powered. Are not data in CAN bus or incorrect connection the Module to the CAN bus. 2 VD6 VD 10 flashing Simulation mode The Module is powered. Module is getting data from engine. 3 The Module is powered. Are not data in VD8 flashing by 0.3 Activated, waiting CAN bus or incorrect connection the sec interval mode Module to the CAN bus. If Module was activated and engine wasn t in CAN bus after power switch on, Module will be work in mode 2 during 1 sec, after this mode will be changed on 3. The Module installation includes: 1. Power disconnection from SCR system and NOx sensor. 2. Connection Module to the CAN bus. 3. Control of the installation and erasing fault codes (if it is necessary) NOx sensor and dosing module of the SCR system are connected to the CAN bus. Before the installation of the Module dosing module and NOx sensor must be disconnected from the power. Module installation It may be complete by two ways: to remove supply fuses or to disconnect the supply wires from the pump module SCR and NOx sensor. For NOx sensor to disconnect from terminal 15 (ignition). For pump module of SCR system to disconnect from terminal 15 (ignition) and terminal 30 (battery). 3
Connection diagram DAF install recommendation The Module can be connected to the socket located in the transitional shield cabinframe at DAF trucks under the hood. Pic.2 Pic.1 The CAN bus of the Module must be connected to the 12С connector (Pos С1, Pic.2). NOTE: Pin assignment may be diffirent, depends from year of truck manufacture. The connection is made to the twisted pair (CAN bus) Red / Yellow wires, according to the diagram. Module power connected to a thick red wire in the connector 12C to the terminal 15 (+24V after ignition). Power disconnection. For disconnect the power from SCR system and NOx sensor necessary disconnect the Yellow socket (Picture below and Pic. 2 Pos. А9). Black Pass 4
Connection diagram The Module can be connected at IVECO trucks to the OBD II socket located in the fuses shield. IVECO install recommendation The Module must be connected according the schematic diagram below. Black Pass Module The pin assignment of the OBD II connector shown below. The Module must be powered from the terminal 15 (+24V after ignition). 5
Power disconnection for IVECO Stralis. For disconnect the power from SCR system and NOx sensor should cut the wires 7540 (Red pin 25) and 8540 (Green pin 26) at the connector Е, located in the transitional shield cabin-frame under the hood. Power disconnection for IVECO Traker. For disconnect the power from SCR system and NOx sensor should cut the wire 7540 (Red pin 25) at the socket Е, located in the transitional shield cabin-frame under the hood, wire 8540 (Green pin 24) at the Dosing module socket and wire 8173 (Green pin 1) at the NOx sensor socket. 6
Power disconnection for IVECO EuroCargo For disconnect the power from SCR system and NOx sensor should cut the wires 7540 (Red pin 3,4), 8540 (Green pin 24) at the Dosing module socket and wire 8540 (Green pin 18) at the socket Е, located in the transitional shield cabin-frame under the hood. Connection diagram The Module can be connected at FORD Cargo trucks to the OBD II socket located in the fuses shield. FORD Cargo install recommendation The Module must be connected according the schematic diagram below. Black Pass Module 7
The pin assignment of the OBD II connector shown below. The Module must be powered from terminal 15 (+24V after ignition). Power disconnection. terminal 30 For disconnect the power from SCR system and NOx sensor should pull out the fuses of terminal 30 and terminal 15. See the picture. terminal 15 Connection diagram The Module can be connected at MAN trucks to the socket located in the transitional MAN install recommendation shield cabin-frame under the hood at the driver side.
