BPF CENTRIFUGAL

BPF Centrifugal Plug Fans Soler & Palau developed this new centrifugal plug fan serie looking to efficiency, noise level and structural strength. The result is the new BPF plug fan serie, with top performance level in every aspect. Diameter range from 280 up to 1000 mm Airflow up to 70.000m 3 /h, pressure rise up to 2800 Pa Efficiency up to 75% - Very low noise level. Centrifugal plug fan serie is available in direct driven version with its own rigid structure unit, designed to be mounted in air handling units. The motors used are IEC-standard three phase foot mounted motor with PTC. All the motor are EFF2 and high-efficiency motors class EFF1 are also available. The unit fans can be equipped with 3 phase motor with integrated VFD (frequency converter). Description: Compact free running unit in plenum made by a base frame, motor, backward wheel impeller, inlet cone. High performance impeller made in welded steel, backward wheel curve 7 blade, wheel rotation CW/RD, painted. Inlet cone with measuring device to determinate flow rate on request. Unit mounted on a rigid base frame made by C profiles of welded base frame, with rigid motor support. Complete unit with admissible vibration severity less than 2,8mm/s according ISO14694. IEC standard three-phase motor IMB3 EFF2, multivoltage, protection by PTC thermistor, IP55, Output: 0.55 up to 37kW - Frames: 71 up to 250M/L - Voltage: 220-240/380-415V (up to 100L) 380-415/660V (from 112M and up) Class F insulation (DT=80K) - Continuous duty: S1 - Ambient temperature: -20/+40 C, at 1000 m.a.s.l. Suitable for inverter duty applications. Motor in accordance EEF1 or motor with built-on VFD (frequency inverter) on request. Special tension or multispeed motor available on request. Special anticorrosion treatament on request. Mounting with horizontal motor shaft only. Accessories Inlet guard grill. Outlet flexible connector. Antivibration mounts. SOUND LEVEL The sound indicated on the BPFM catalogue is a Sound Pressure Level-Lps 6 (A-weighted) measured at one meter of pressure side, in hemispherical free field ambient. From the Lps 6 (A) a corresponding value of Sound Power Level-Lws 6 (A) in spherical free field ambient can be estimated as belowe; Lws 6 (A) = Lps 6 (A)+ 20log 10 (d)+6 Where d = distance between the fan and the microphone in m of Lps 6 (A) The Lps 5 (suction side) is 3 db(a) less of the value at the pressure side: Lps 5 = Lps 6 3 db The Octave-band (linear-weighted) of sound pressure level at pressure side Lps 6 -Oct or in suction side Lps 5 -Oct must be achieve with adding the coefficient K in table 1 below. The are 4 pressure probes positioned in each inlet cone, the pressure probe are connected with a PVC tube. Each size of fan was measured and the calibration curves determined. Example: Consider to use an BPFM 280, rotating at 3550 rpm, with a total pressure of 1000 Pa. The flow rate is about 3.000 m³/h. From the manometer connected to the pressure probe system you will read 1275 Pa. When entering this pressure on the calibration chart pressure axis, at the intersection with the BPFM 280 calibration curve, a value of 3000 m³/h will be read on the flow rate axis. If the same fan is running at a different speed but with the same flow rate, the pressure probe system will again readρρ = 1275 Pa. The calculation of the volume flow is made according to the following formula: V = k * ρ [ m 3 /h ] This relation applies for the densityρρ = 1,205 [Kg/m 3 ].
