DISCONNECT BATTERIES BEFORE SERVICING. See Figure. Mount the Bracket Weldment (24) to the machine s chassis using four of the Screws (3), Washers () and Nuts (). 2 Install the Pivot Weldment [(23) for 24-32 models or (32) for use on 35 & 38 models] on top of the bracket weldment with the two remaining Screws (3), Washers () and Nuts (), according to Figure 2 based upon which model you have. 3 Attach the Broom/Motor Assembly (A) to the Pivot Weldment (23 or 32) using Screw (7), two Bushings (7), two Bearings (6) and Nut (8). 4 See Figure. Identify which type of throttle pedal you have, old style (metal) or new style (roto-molded) and follow the appropriate step below. Old Style Foot Pedal - Remove the front four Screws (B) which secure the Throttle Pedal (C) to the floor of the operator s compartment, these screws can be discarded. New Style Foot Pedal - Remove the front four Screws (AA) which secure the Foot Pedal Assembly (AB) to the floor of the operator s compartment, these screws can be discarded. Remove and save the rear Screw (AC). 5 24-32 models: Slide the Lift Bar Assembly (D) down through the slot in the Lift Bracket (). Maneuver the bar assembly down until the long portion of the bar is in the slot. 35 & 38 models: - For 35 & 38 models only, the Lift Bar (33) will need to be used in place of item (26) in the Lift Bar Assembly (D). FIGURE 3 8 If the Side broom Harness (30) is not already plugged into the side broom switch and motor, connect them. See Figure 3 for connection information. Mount the fuse holder to the open hole in the side of the cover weldment using Wire Tie (3). 9 Locate the wire harness underneath the chassis (BLU & BLK wires) and connect to the side broom s Wiring Harness (30). FIGURE 4 0 Reconnect the batteries and test for proper operation. Side broom should run when the machine is scrubbing and the side broom is lowered. If the broom does not start and stop when it should, check the adjustment of the switch (shown in Figure 4). Height Adjustment As the bristles on the side broom wear down the broom will need to be lowered. To allow the broom to drop down farther simply loosen the Wing- Nut (5) and turn Nut (9) towards the end of the handle. Then tighten the wing-nut. Readjust the height when installing a new side broom. (page 4 of 5)
