MAINTENANCE AND UPKEEP: STORE YOUR ROOF RACK INDOORS WHEN NOT IN USE. USE A SOFT CLOTH WITH WATER AND A MILD DETERGENT TO CLEAN METAL PARTS. DRY AFTER CLEANING. USE LOW-STRENGTH THREAD-LOCKING COMPOUND TO PROTECT THREADED FASTENERS AND REDUCE LOOSENING DUE TO VIBRATION. REMOVE YOUR ROOF RACK BEFORE ENTERING AN AUTOMATIC CAR WASH OR LOW PARKING GARAGE NEVER BEND BACK ANY PART OR FASTENER THAT HAS BEEN DAMAGED! DOING SO WILL MAKE A CATASTROPHIC FAILURE EXTREMELY LIKELY! REMOVE THE ROOF RACK FROM SERVICE IMMEDIATELY AND REPLACE THE DAMAGED PART.
