INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS STUDIO S 70.0 MONOBLOCK LAVATORY FAUCET WITH SPEED CONNECT Thank you for selecting American Standard... the benchmark of fine quality for over 00 years. To ensure that your installation proceeds smoothly-please read these instructions carefully before you begin. Certified to comply with ANSI A.8.M RECOMMENDED TOOLS Screwdriver Channel Locks Adjustable Wrench Tubing Cutter INSTALL FAUCET WITH OR WITHOUT DECK ESCUTCHEON CAUTION Turn off hot and cold water supplies before begining. Seat SEAL () into under side of ESCUTCHEON RING (). Seat ESCUTCHEON RING () with collar facing up into groove in faucet base. Feed FAUCET SUPPLIES (), MOUNTING STUD () and CABLE ASSEMBLY (8) through ESCUTCHEON RING () and the mounting hole of lavatory or mounting surface. Figure A. From below, push GASKET (7) and RETAINING WASHER () onto MOUNTING STUD (). Secure Faucet with MOUNTING NUT (6), pulling faucet to front of sink, so SUPPLIES () rests against mounting hole. Before final tightening, make sure collar on MOUNTING NUT (6) is seated into RETAINING WASHER (). Adjust Faucet so that it is centered. Tighten MOUNTING NUT (6) to complete faucet mounting. POP-UP Fig. A. Fig. B. Remove CLEAR PLASTIC COVER (). Remove CARDBOARD SPACER () from under POP-UP (). Tighten TAILPIECE () on BODY before installing BODY. Fig. B. Push GASKET () down against LOCKNUT (). Fig. B. INSTALL FROM BELOW FIXTURE From under side of SINK install BODY () up through drain outlet. REAR OF SINK TIGHTEN LOCKNUT Tighten LOCKNUT () firmly with Adjustable Wrench or Channel Locks. Note: No plumber s putty or caulk is required. The CABLE ATTACHMENT POINT () must face towards the rear of the SINK. Install FOAM GASKET () on to bottom of flange and assemble FLANGE () onto drain body from above sink and tighten FLANGE () firmly. OUTLET 6 FLANGE GASKET AND POP-UP KNOB Fig. A. Fig. B. DOWN Check FLANGE in SINK to ensure that WHITE FOAM GASKET () is fully compressed and not visible. Fig. A. 7 ATTACH CABLE CONNECTOR Fig. A. Fig. B. Thread CABLE CONNECTOR () clockwise onto BODY CONNECTION () and hand tighten. Fig. A. Your new POP-UP installation is now complete. Fig. B. Note: Tailpipe on pop-up drain is -/" O.D. Fig. B. -/" O.D. 8 CHECK OPERATION OF POP-UP Operate LIFT KNOB () to verify that STOPPER () opens and closes. Note: If STOPPER () does not open and close properly then refer to the troubleshooting section of these instructions. 9 MAKE WATER SUPPLY AND WASTE CONNECTIONS Connect FLEXIBLE SUPPLIES (, ) directly to wall supplies. Connection on fitting supplies are /8" compression. Connect right SUPPLY () to Hot (Marked with a Red Band) and left supply to COLD () wall supply. Faucet supplies are 0" long from faucet base. Note: If additional supply length is required, installer must purchase additional parts separately. Important: If SUPPLY HOSES (, ) are to long, loop as illustrated to avoid kinking. Connect -/" O.D. tail piece on POP-UP to waste outlet. APPROX. 0" BLUE BAND RED BAND /8" COMPRESSION HOT COLD - - M96779 (/7)

0 TEST INSTALLED FITTING With HANDLE () in OFF position, turn on WATER SUPPLIES () and check all connections for leaks. Remove AERATOR (). Operate HANDLE () to flush water lines thoroughly. Replace AERATOR (). ON OFF COLD HOT CHECK CONNECTIONS Operate POP-UP KNOB () and fill lavatory with water. Check that STOPPER () makes a good seal and retains water in Sink. If STOPPER () does not seal properly, please refer to Troubleshooting section in these instructions. Release POP-UP KNOB () down and check all drain connections and P trap for leaks. Tighten if necessary. WASTE OUTLET SERVICE CAUTION Turn off hot and cold water supplies before beginning. To remove or replace cartridge: Turn valve to OFF position. Pull out PLUG BUTTON () and remove HANDLE SCREW (). Pull off HANDLE ASSEMBLY (). Unthread CARTRIDGE NUT () using a 7/8" socket (deep socket) and remove. Pull out CARTRIDGE (6). Inspect CARTRIDGE (6) and O-RINGS (7) for debris and clean if necessary. Clean MANIFOLD (8) and rinse clean. Reinstall CARTRIDGE (6) and O-RINGS (7) onto MANIFOLD (8). Reinstall CARTRIDGE NUT () and CAP () (orientation of the cap is very important). When reinstalling the HANDLE () push the lower gear back (as shown in the figure) then install HANDLE () in pushed down position (make sure the seal alligns with the body). Push SEAL () down, ensuring that it is completely pushed into the spout body. Reinstall HANDLE SCREW () and PLUG BUTTON (). LOWER GEAR REMOVE 0 P TRAP INSTALL 7 6 8.mm HEX KEY CARE INSTRUCTIONS: DO: SIMPLY RINSE THE PRODUCT CLEAN WITH CLEAR WATER. DRY WITH A SOFT COTTON FLANNEL CLOTH. DO NOT: DO NOT CLEAN THE PRODUCT WITH SOAPS, ACID, POLISH, ABRASIVES, HARSH CLEANERS, OR A CLOTH WITH A COARSE SURFACE. M96779 (/7)

Speed Connect Drain Troubleshooting Guide If sink does not hold water even though Stopper is in the down position: Follow CABLE ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE. If Stopper does not raise up fully or sink drains too slowly: Follow CABLE ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE. If you need to remove the Stopper: Follow STOPPER REMOVAL PROCEDURE. If you would like the ability to remove your Stopper simply by lifting it out of the drain: Follow STOPPER INSTALLATION PROCEDURE for Unlocked mode. CABLE ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE Disconnect the Cable from the Drain by threading the Cable Connector () counter-clockwise. Fig. A. Look at the area on the Drain Body where the Cable was attached and locate the component labeled as Cam in the illustration. Fig. B. Use a small screwdriver to rotate the Cam in the clockwise direction as far as it will go. At this point the Stopper should be in the UP position. Fig. B, C. Push DOWN on the Lift-Knob to make sure it is fully down. Fig. C. R e -attach the Cable to the Drain Body Connection () by threading the Cable Connector () clockwise onto the Drain Body Connection () and hand-tighten. Fig. A. Fig. A. Fig. B. Fig. C. DOWN CAM RE-ATTACH DISCONNECT CAM CAP STOPPER STOPPER REMOVAL PROCEDURE Disconnect the Cable from the Drain by threading the Cable Connector () counter-clockwise. Fig. A. Look at the area on the Drain Body where the Cable was attached and locate the component labeled as Cam and Cam Cap in the illustration. Fig. B. Use fingers or small screwdriver under either side of the Cam Cap to pry it out from the Drain. Fig. D. Remove the Cam by pulling it straight out while wiggling gently to loosen the Rubber Seal. STOPPER INSTALLATION PROCEDURE The Stopper can be installed two ways, Locked Mode (Stopper cannot be Removed) or Unlock Mode (Stopper is removable). Locked Mode: Look at the Plastic Loop at the bottom of the Stopper and notice that the Loop is on one side of the Stopper. Fig. G. To install the stopper in Locked mode, insert the Stopper into the Drain so that the Plastic Loop is facing toward the rear of the Sink and the American Standard logo is facing front. Rotate Stopper slightly if necessary so that the Stopper slides all the way down. Fig. G. R e -install the Cam into the Drain, rotating the Cam if necessary to make sure it is fully inserted. Fig. J. R e -install the Cam Cap, making sure the guide teeth are facing outward. If the Cam Cap does not snap into place, then rotate the Cam to make sure it is fully inserted. Fig. K. R e -attach Cable. See CABLE ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE in Troubling Shooting Guide to complete installation. Stopper will be in Locked mode and not be removable. LOGO LOOP TOWARD REAR OF SINK Locked Mode (Vandal Proof) Fig. G. Unlocked Mode: Look at the Plastic Loop at the bottom of the Stopper and notice that the Loop is on one side of the Stopper. Fig. H. To install the stopper in Unlocked mode, insert the Stopper into the Drain so that the Plastic Loop is facing toward the front of the Sink and the American Standard logo is facing rear. Rotate Stopper slightly if necessary so that the Stopper slides all the way down. Fig. H. R e -install the Cam into the Drain, rotating the Cam if necessary to make sure it is fully inserted. Fig. J.
