A. Pre-Installation Precaution 1. Use Seat and Floor protectors to avoid damage to surfaces. 2. If the vehicle is equipped with an Anti-theft radio, the radio code must be written down prior to disconnecting the battery cable. The code must be re-entered when the negative battery cable is reinstalled. Disconnecting the battery may cause certain vehicle settings to be lost. Manufacturer s recommendations for the battery removal should be followed. Disconnecting the battery is recommended. B1 C1 B. Battery disconnect 1. Remove the NEGATIVE (-) battery terminal using a 10mm socket/ ratchet before starting any disassembly. ( B1) C2 C. Disassemble Vehicle Trim 1. Partially remove passenger side front pillar garnish by pulling away from vehicle body. ( C1) 2. Carefully pull weather-stripping away from door sill. ( C2) 3. Using a needle nose pliers, rotate plastic clip ¼ turn clockwise until pillar garnish is released. Once released pull panel up and away from dash. Use C3 caution while near airbag. ( C3) 4. Repeat steps 1-3 for driver s side. Page 2 of 17

TOYOTA / SIENNA (SUNROOF) C5 5. By hand pull down edges of front sunroof trim ring to release Velcro and hinged catches. ( C5) 6. Unhook wire loom attachment clips and remove panel. ( C6) 7. By hand pull down edges of rear sunroof trim C6 ring to release Velcro and hinged catches as shown with front sunroof, then unhook wire loom attachment clips and disconnect electrical connector. ( C7) C7 Caution: Yellow trim clips may disengage and fall into the cup holder assembly causing the cup holder not to close properly. If this occurs, clips must be removed from the cup holder assembly. 8. Open no.2 instrument panel box door and use a NRT (Nylon Removal Tool) to carefully pry edge of C8 no. 2 instrument cluster panel finish garnish from right to left. ( C8) 9. Pulling headliner too much will cause damage. ( I2) Page 11 of 17

3. Align slotted area of rear bracket with studs of previously loosened nuts. Push bracket until front holes of bracket align with front holes of cross I3 member. NOTE: Aligning driver s side portion of bracket first while reaching through center hole in bracket to pull down sunroof plastic support will assist in feeding bracket between surfaces. ( I3) 4. Install (2) M6 bolts and fully tighten with an 8mm I4 socket/ ratchet. ( I4) 5. Re-tighten previously loosened nuts with a 10mm socket/ ratchet. 6. Make sure cables are routed through center of bracket. ( I6) 7. Evenly tuck cables evenly between sunroof frame and headliner. ( I7) 8. Cut foam tape into (2) equal pieces using a sharp utility knife and secure cables to top passenger side of bracket with one of those pieces. This will prevent cables from hitting I6 I7 sunroof slider. ( I8) 9. Repeat steps 7-8 for dome lamp wiring on driver side of bracket. I8 Page 12 of 17

Troubleshooting: Condition: Unit does not power "ON" Sound is not heard through vehicle radio Sound is not heard through wireless headphones Check For: 1. Is ignition turned "ON? 2. Are batteries installed in remote control? 3. Are power connections and ground secured? 4. Check power on the vehicle side of power connection. 5. Check power on the accessory side of power connection. 6. Is vehicle fuse blown? If yes, check to see that there is not a short circuit. 7. Check overhead video unit for continuity to ground on black wire and power at red wire on 4 pin connector (Fig. 1). Use eyelet as ground connection for all voltage checks. If continuity and power exist, the problem lies in the overhead unit. 1. Is sound around turned on? 2. Does vehicle radio station match radio station displayed when sound around is turned ON? 3. Check that FM Modulator is receiving power. Test G10 main harness for continuity at 8 pin connector on each side. All pins should be continuous (Fig. 1). Test for power at PIN #8, ground at PIN #1, and audio voltage of.02 V at PIN #3 and PIN #4. If voltages are not present, the problem lies in the overhead unit. 1. Are batteries installed? 2. Is power "ON" (headphones)? 3. Is volume turned "UP" (on headphones)? 4. Is anything blocking signal between monitor and headphones? Vehicle has poor sound Interference caused by local radio station IR Sensor inoperative No picture Unit powers up but no audio and/or video 1. Turn off sound around on monitor 1.
