The Gen II offers exclusive features that make it the premier shaft seal on the market with the culmination of more than a quarter century of experience in shaft seal design. The Gen II offers a unique ball-bearing drive system that allows the seal ring to "float" and remain in constant contact with the carbon graphite seal surface, resulting in a seal that's impenetrable to water. The Gen II uses a 316-marine grade stainless steel spring to provide pressure to the seal surfaces. Together, the spring and seal ring rotate along with the shaft, and remain secured in the Clamp/Pressure housing. The Clamp/Pressure housing is secured to the shaft without the use of set screws preventing galling or damage to the shaft. Dual u-cup seals, which also rotate on the shaft, are seated inside of the seal ring and prevent the passage of water to this point. The friction ring assembly is constructed of a durable copolymer housing protecting the carbon graphite friction ring and also incorporating a water lubricated bearing maintaining correct alignment to the shaft. Each kit includes AWAB hose clamps that are made of 316 stainless steel with rolled band edges to eliminate risk of damage to the hose. The non-perforated band provides twice the tensile strength of a regular clamp. Available in shaft sizes of 1 1/8 5 (30mm 150mm) in diameter. The Lasdrop Original Bellows seal is a face seal that features a vibration absorbing bellows, ideal for use on sailboats and workboats. Specially balanced for smooth rotation, this model utilizes a 316 stainless steel and carbon graphite for its sealing surfaces. Like all Lasdrop models, a water lubricated bearing is designed in the assembly to insure correct alignment with the shaft. The seal ring is 316 stainless steel, set in a counter bore in the assembly, eliminating metal to metal contact and risk of electrolysis. The clamp ring assembly uses two clamps for maximum strength to secure to the shaft. This provides proper balancing, and also prevents galling and or damage to the shaft. To insure the O ring is not damaged from a key way or burrs during installation, it is assembled to the shaft after the assembly reaches its final location. ARMORFLEX bellows we utilize are second to none. This product is constructed of silicon rubber, hand wrapped with three layers of fiberglass on the inside. The unit is then vulcanized, combining superior strength and durability with unsurpassed resistance to heat and fuels. This type of construction also prevents rotting or delamination. Each kit includes AWAB hose clamps that are made of 316 stainless steel with rolled band edges to eliminate risk of damage to the hose. The non-perforated band provides twice the tensile strength of a regular clamp. Available in shaft sizes of 3/4 8 (100mm 200mm) in diameter with a stern tube of up to 10 ½. We can accommodate a stern tube flange of up to 18. All units have dual water injection ports including necessary hardware. For 7/8 to 1 seals, dual port available upon request. The Lasdrop DrySeal is a compact, economical lip seal designed for quick and easy installation. The lip seal, made specifically for marine use, is in constant low friction contact with the propeller shaft, preventing water from passing in your vessel. As in all Lasdrop models, the DrySeal incorporates a water lubricated alignment bearing in the housing to keep the unit properly aligned with the shaft. There is an optional back-up seal available that can be installed during the original installation changeable in the future without the need of removing the shaft or unit. Split-face plate makes it easy to replace inner lip seal with an optional back-up seal without the need for special installation tools. Seal housing is constructed of a durable copolymer with built in water lubricated bearing insuring proper alignment to the shaft. Optional Back-up seal rotates freely on the shaft until replacement is needed. Each kit includes AWAB hose clamps that are constructed of 316 stainless steel with rolled band edges to eliminate risk of damage to the hose. The non-perforated band provides twice the tensile strength of a regular clamp. Available in shaft sizes of 3/4 8 (20mm 200mm) in diameter with stern tubes up to 12 in diameter. All units have dual water injection ports including necessary hardware. For ¾ to 1 seals, dual port available upon request.

The Lasdrop TriSeal was designed for large vessels with 5-12 inch shafts. The unit is bolted to an existing flange on the stern tube. The unit encompasses two lip seals that are split for easy replacement without the need for removing the shaft from the coupling. It also has available an optional inflatable seal enabling service to be done in the water. Dual split lip seal design. Optional inflatable inner seal designed to ease maintenance it also provides easy replacement of the lip seals without the need for pulling vessel out of the water. Utilizes split lip seals for easy replacement, making it unnecessary to remove the shaft from the coupling. Available for shafts of 5-12" (127 mm - 300 mm).
