LOCAL REPORT NUMBER 0800 IN COUNTY OF 8 REPORTING AGENCY GARFIELD HEIGHTS CRASH LOCATION TRANSPORTATION BL OHIO TRAFFIC CRASH REPORT DIAGRAM / NARRATIVE CONTINUATION DATE OF CRASH M 0 D 0 Unit was s/b on Transportation in lane. Unit (pedestrian) entered the roadway from the west side curb attempting to cross. Unit states Unit appeared out nowhere she sounded her horn and attempted to stop but struck Unit with right front vehicle. Unit states Unit was not stopping traffic but merely ran out in front her Unit states that before attempting to cross Transportation from west to east side, Unit states he stopped a vehicle in curb lane with his stop sign. He then went to stop the second lane and when he stepped into lane, Unit struck him. Wit Bowman states after Unit had assisted him in maneuvering his vehicle, Unit went to cross Transportation for a reason unknown to him. He heard a vehicle horn sounded and looked up and observed Unit striking Unit. He could not confirm Unit was using stop sign to stop traffic Wit Alderman states that Unit was using his stop sign to cross Transportation but did not confirm Unit had first stop a vehicle in the curb lane While I was interviewing Unit in GHFD squad, another construction worker leaned into the squad to remind Unit that he was using his stop sign There was no clear evidence Unit was using his stop sign.
