Even though it was a cold day there were 28 Thunderbirds and 73 members for lunch at George Murphy s. Thanks to everyone in attendance for their patience and the waitstaff for serving a larger group than expected. Please bring any places of interest we can visit along with restaurants nearby that can accommodate 30 to 50 people and will accept separate checks. Also please RSVP to JoAnn Rodriguez by Thurs 10/8 via e-mail joannbill801@comcast.net or phone/text 248-719-0160 indicating if you will be bringing a Crock Pot of Chili, an Appetizer or Dessert. The club s annual Christmas Party is Sunday December 2 at 5:00 at Park Place, 23400 Park St., Dearborn (South of Michigan Ave off of Outer Drive). The Family Style Meal is $30.00 per person and must be received by Wednesday November 28. Entertainment for the evening will be Ruth & Max Bloomquist singing some Christmas favorites as well as original songs. The club will once again be supporting the Open-Door Program at the Fort Street Presbyterian Church which consists of two programs. The Thursday program feeds and clothes homeless people. The Tuesday program helps cloth men and women who need business attire for job interviews.
