These valves have a narrow compact straight through design with a minimal internal surface area to maximize available pumping speed. KEY HIGH QV Series butterfly valves possess a quick quarter turn 90 actuation from the fully open to the closed position. Valve bodies are fabricated from 04L SS or 6061T6 luminum (dependent on customer choice) for corrosion resistance and a low out gassing rates. KEY HIGH QV Series valves feature four different flange interface styles: bolted, MET-SEL, ISO-NW and ISO-MF. Our wide range of flange interface styles allows the user to pick the exact flanging system for their particular requirement and saves on expensive enclosure space by eliminating adapter flanges. enefits of these flanging systems is rapid, convenient system assembly/disassembly and excellent flexibility. QV Series butterfly valves are ideally suited for the isolation of pumps, chambers, roughing lines and exhaust lines. Valves are mountable in any position. However, the correct or preferred method is to install the QV valves with the narrow side of the taper towards the vacuum pump. In this arrangement the pump will "pull" the flapper into the narrower side of the taper while the valve is in closed position effecting a better seal. KEY HIGH offers the QV Series valves in three distinct actuating styles; manual, electropneumatic and motorized operation. ll QV valves have small physical "footprints" and are high conductance shut off valves due to the straight through design and offer a significant cost advantage over a gate valve, as well as a much smaller physical foot print.
