Resolution #105 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PRESTON, IDAHO, COMPILING A LICENSE AND FEE SCHEDULE AND WATER, SEWER, GARBAGE RATE SCHEDULE WHEREAS a public hearing was held before the City Council on June 11, 2018, for the purpose of hearing public comments on proposed fees, and WHEREAS Council has determined that the revised fees included in this resolution are appropriate and are reasonably related to the purpose for which such fees are charged. WATER AND SEWER RATES: The monthly water and sewer rates and water deposit fees from the City of Preston are as follows: To be paid in monthly installments by the 24 th day of each month, with charges prorated for new connections according to the date of the water service order. Provided further all persons, companies or corporations renting property within the City of Preston and paying the Preston City water assessment are required to make a deposit according to the following schedule before any water is supplied to said premises by the City of Preston: $100 for residential customers; $200 for commercial customers. Class 5: Out Of City Limits (Water only) 2. SUMMER RATES WINTER RATES: Outside City Limits: Water Users located outside the city limits of Preston, Idaho, using water from the city water system shall be billed on a year-round basis in accordance with meter readings taken by the City and the rate schedule for out-of-city water users set forth above. If, because of weather conditions during the winter months, a reading cannot be made by the City on a monthly basis, the bill for that month shall be added to the next month in which the reading can be taken, and the water user shall be responsible for payment of the total of said bill in the month when the reading is made and bill sent to the water user. Inside City Limits: Water users using water from the City water system who are located within the city limits shall be billed for water usage in accordance with meter readings taken by the City for the months of May through September. For the months of October through April, said users located within the city limits shall be billed at base rates. 3. GARBAGE RATES: The monthly garbage rates for service from the City of Preston shall be as follows: Class & Description Garbage Rate Garbage Container Size 1. Commercial $23.00 300 Gallon *Additional Garbage Container $7.50 300 Gallon Additional Pickup (per container) $7.50 300 Gallon *Additional Garbage Container to be billed for minimum of one year 4. RATES DISTRIBUTION: The City Treasurer is empowered, beginning October 1, 2016, to distribute utility billing income as follows: Water Fund: 54% Sewer Fund: 29% Garbage Fund: 17% This distribution will continue until otherwise determined or ordered by City Council.

All prior resolutions regulating licenses and fees and water, sewer, garbage rates which are in conflict with this resolution are repealed, including the entirety of Resolution No. 29. This Resolution replaces Resolution 98. All resolutions and fees not affected by this resolution shall remain in full force and effect.
