Kaleidoscope Series Compelling Style ith Limitless Possibilities Kaleidoscope builds upon trusted industrial design, adding new features to complement and accent both indoor and outdoor architectural applications. Kaleidoscope boasts an array of choices almost as impressive as the looks that can be specified, including a rainbow of paint finishes, featuring polished nickel, copper or gold; and decorative globes, guards, shades and domes. Durability Kaleidoscope s electrical enclosures (and optional exterior guards) are made of die-cast aluminum. Heat and shock-resistant prismatic glass optical chamber maintains a constant seal to the enclosure via long-life neoprene gasketing. Decorative shades are constructed of spun aluminum, and all hardware is stainless steel. Balanced Illumination Kaleidoscope's prismatic glass globe when used alone provides symmetric illumination, with generous spacing-to-mounting-height ratios and approximately 40% uplight. Optional acrylic refractors reduce uplight component to approximately 15% and provide diffused downlight. hite painted spun aluminum shades provide 100% downlight in a concentrated even pattern. Premium Electrical Components High power factor, high reactance or CA ballast supplied for the Metal Halide luminaries are capable of starting at -30 C temperature. High power factor, electronic Compact Fluorescent ballasts are capable of starting at 0 C. Splice chamber and extra long leads that are pre-wired to socket are supplied for each Incandescent luminaire.
