Halogen lighting Standard cabinet lighting range, suitable for illuminating work surfaces, cabinet fronts and inside cabinets. Ceiling lighting All Sensio fire rated ceiling lights conform to Part B, C and E of current UK building regulations. These fittings are fully tested 90 minute fire proof fittings. Features: SE9001HD Lumens (lm) Lumens measure the brightness of a lamp. When trying to determine the brightness of lighting (especially LED s) often it is the wattage or equivalent wattage we are asked for. However, the brightness of a light source can only be determined by knowing the number of lumens they produce. Light wastage can be an issue with standard incandescent lighting as the light is dispersed (beam angle is normally 360 degrees), however LED lighting is focused meaning the light is directed onto the area to be illuminated with little light wastage, this means the lumens per watt are higher than standard incandescent lighting and is therefore much more efficient. The lumen per watt is the relationship of watts to light output. Lumens per watt = lumen output wattage of fitting. For example: Halogen: 320 lumens 20W = 16 lumens per watt HD LED: 68 lumens 1.7W = 40 lumens per watt (based on 1.7W fitting) When making a lighting decision use the lumen values provided for each in this brochure. (Take into consideration that a higher lumen output per fitting does not necessarily mean the lamp will be the brightest). Please note: Lumen s per watt and dimensions are only a guide, we advise not to cut any holes before receiving and checking the fitting. Colour temperatures The colour temperature refers to the colour of the lamp measured in Kelvin (K). Warm White lighting has a yellow glow e.g. halogen. Cool White is more of a clinical white light e.g. HD LED. The higher the Kelvin of the lamp the cooler the colour produced. Top tip Warm white light works best with traditional wood kitchens. Cool white works best with modern high gloss kitchens. Our ranges vary in the colour temperature of the lamp (see below): HD LED: 6400K Cool White LED strip lighting: Standard Cool White or Blue LED, flexible strips also available in Warm White LED. LED cabinet lighting: Standard Cool White or Blue LED. The SE10138 is also available in Warm White LED. Use 700mA with the HD LED Ceiling lights. 13A plug included with certain s. Which driver do I need? Drivers are available in 15W and 30W. Simply multiply number of lights required by lamp wattage. Example: If the lamp wattage is 3W the maximum number of lights on a 15W driver is 5. The maximum number of fittings for a 15W driver is 6 and a 30W driver is 12. Types of light Our energy efficient HD LED range consists of cabinet lighting, drawer lighting and plinth lighting. Certain fittings are available with motion sensor. HD LED = High Definition LED Lighting HD LED s have a lens over each LED diode to make the light more intense, meaning they have a high light output, with fittings producing the equivalent to around 45W of halogen. Energy efficiency Using energy efficient technology each fitting has a low power consumption, with fittings running at 1.7W on average. By moving from conventional halogen lighting to HD LED you can save up to 80% power and see considerable savings on electricity bills. Save energy, save money! Save up to per year on electricity and replacement lamps when switching from conventional lighting to HD LED lighting.* * Saving based on 0.15per kwh when 8 HD lights are used for 5 hours per day (60,000 / 3,000 = 20 lamps) 20W Halogen lamps with 3,000 hours at 0.90 each. Lamp colours Fittings are available in cool white, warm white or blue. Effect lighting Create effect lighting using our LED plinth lights or strip lighting. RGB LED adds character and ambience to a room, whilst the under cabinet lighting can provide energy efficient task lighting. Energy efficiency LED lighting has a very low power consumption and long lifespan. This energy efficient range allows for considerable savings on both electricity bills and the cost of replacement lamps. Safety first LED lighting has a low heat output making them safe for installation in heat sensitive applications. The SE11175 cuts out the requirement for Part P of the Building Regulations when installing, as up to 6 fittings can be connected to the distribution block which plugs straight to the mains power supply. 11 Ceiling lights introduction Ceiling lights fire rated LED / HD LED Sensio fire and acoustic rated downlight fittings have been developed to re-establish the fire integrity of the ceiling once a hole has been cut. It also serves as an acoustic barrier to comply with UK building regulations for new builds. Sensio fire rated fittings are tested to meet the standards of BS 476 Part 21, 22 & 23. I-Joist Timber Systems for 30 & 60 minute fire ceilings Builders have the option of using timber I-Joist systems as an alternative to solid beam ceiling constructions. However, where these s may have advantages for the installation process, they are much thinner, meaning there is less material to resist the passage of fire.
