SR diagram The raised curved ends were cut square in later life, and the very similar diagram 1311 started that way. This kit is a memorial to Tony Gibbs. The van has sliding doors, vertical planks and alternative ends. The mouldings include the odd bits to do a 9' LNER vacuum fitted under frame including a 5 mm diameter vacuum cylinder, but the clasp brakes and short brake levers need to come from a 10' under frame. Diagram 14 is wood and unfitted, diagram 15 is steel and unfitted, diagram 16 is wood and vacuum fitted with the external shutter over the peep hole on some, diagram 17 is steel and vacuum fitted. A wooden under frame produces a diagram 94 vacuum fitted van. The alternative slatted end allows a diagram 105 or diagram 106 fruit van on 10' steel fitted underframe (needs 6 torpedo vents, and 10 fitted brake bits from PP29). These buffers are no longer available so BR1/WBR1 Wagon buffers RCH 4 rib short [1' 6"] or 3SMRs F/021 ex ABS F/T.U16/A have to be obtained. The chassis supplied with kit means that without modification the kit makes up as a diagram 1/115 and therefore only needs one door banger per door. If you follow the instructions for modifying the axleboxes to roller bearing in appearance thus creating a diagram 1/118 you need to have two door bangers per door. For door bangers, see PP29. PP2 BR Grampus 21' 6" open wagon with drop sides and removable ends to diagram 1/572 with PP3 12' steel under frame with plate W irons. PP53 BR, LNER derived 21' fish van with PP58 15' steel underframe, LNER diagram 214, BR 1/255 with oil boxes, BR 1/256 with roller bearings. PP57 BR 12 ton 17' 6" Palvan, BR diagram 1/211. Ply sides and ends, off centre sliding door, 1 ventilator bonnet each end. With PP31 10' steel under frame and [WBR184] whitemetal springs and roller bearing axleboxes. Parkside Dundas Plastic body kits [Lacks Slaters SL2 underframe] PP4 Private Owner 7 plank 16' side door only, coke wagon with 3 coke rails and inside strapping.
