5 Operation 57 ADJUSTING FOR LATERAL FLOAT Depending on the position of the mounting pin, the left-hand draft link can be adjusted to allow for lateral float or to lock out float. Lateral float is necessary in draft links so that implements, such as those equipped with gauge wheels can follow ground contours. Mounting pin in position for locking out float Adjust lateral float as follows: Remove mounting pin. Turn lift link 90, insert mounting pin through slotted hole and lift link and secure. Mounting pin position for lateral float Lateral float ATTACHING 3-POINT HITCH AND DRAWN IMPLEMENTS (Tractor with Cab) Be sure not to damage exposed parts of cab (see arrows) when attaching 3-point hitch mounted or drawn implements. IMPORTANT! When attaching 3-point hitch mounted or drawn implements for the first time, make a trial to be sure the cab will not be damaged in any position of the implement. With hitchmounted implements pay attention to the highest lift position, with drawn implements be careful when driving sharp turns. ATTACHING IMPLEMENTS h. CAUTION! Do not stand between tractor.. and implement unless parking brake is applied. If a swinging drawbar is installed, set it in the front, short position. It can also be swung to the left or right and secured. Install ball bushing, clevis pin and quick-lock pin on implement mast. When attaching an implement, be sure rockshaft selector lever is set in depth control (MIN) position.
