In the background to all of these innovations is our objective which is to always offer to our customers the best machinery and systems based on the 3C concept and that means across all of the steps in the process from soil tillage via sowing through to crop care. As a full-liner for worldwide arable farming we pursue this objective, of course, for our customers everywhere on the globe. work and around obstacles. This increased precision results in further cost savings and additionally helps save the environment. This year, however, our new Cayros reversible ploughs could be of particular interest to many SIMA visitors. With these ploughs, AMAZONE now complements the current Cayron series with five further models of reversible ploughs in a variety of sizes and specifications. We have summarised all the information for you with regard to what is new and exciting at AMAZONE in this brochure. Please look forward to an interesting read and find out the advantages that GO for Innovation 2017 offers. In order to meet the demands from practice, again and again that continuing technical progress has become standard at AMAZONE and especially today where a great deal of progress happens in the area of electronics. Impressive examples of this level of technology are the electric AmaSwitch and AmaSelect individual nozzle control for crop protection sprayers and the DynamicSpread part-width section control for fertiliser spreaders. 5 Fertilising technology ZG-TS spreader with Argus Twin 4 5 Radar sensors Monitoring of the spread fan via 14 radar sensors Automatic adjustment of the optimum lateral distribution Following on from the introduction of the Argus System for the ZA-TS mounted spreader last year, at SIMA in Paris, the trailed ZG-TS spreader with Argus spread pattern monitoring will be introduced. With the Argus system, the constant monitoring of the spread fan to automatically regulate the lateral distribution is based on radar technology that is independent of dust and pollution and which provides reliable results in practice. This new Argus Twin system for the trailed ZG-TS ISOBUS spreader will be offered for use during the spring season of Argus Twin permanently monitors, utilising radar sensors fitted to either side of the spreader, both the left and right hand spread patterns and then automatically corrects them, independently of one another, using the electrically-actuated delivery system if necessary. delivery system and that of each side individually. On the basis of this value, Argus Twin constantly checks whether the predetermined direction of throw for the fertiliser is in fact being maintained by the spreading disc. 6 Innovations at SIMA 2017 Main advantages of Argus Twin Via constant online monitoring and the readjustment of the delivery system, the trailed ZG-TS spreader works the same way as on the mounted ZA-TS spreader with the Argus Twin System always ensuring the optimum lateral distribution of the fertiliser. This ensures the most effective use of fertiliser and is the basis for optimised crop management. The system can be started immediately. It operates even when border spreading and when part-width sections are switched off and on. In hilly terrain Argus even provides a slope compensation of the spread pattern via the automatic readjustment of the delivery position of the fertiliser. Due to its rigid attachment without moving components the system is extremely robust and completely maintenance-free. Whilst Argus optimises the lateral distribution, the optional weighing system on the ZG-TS ensures that the correct rate of spread to be applied is maintained. 9 Fertilising technology ZA-V with hydraulic shutter actuation 8 9 Setting lever with large scale Simple adjustment of the shutter slide assembly As an innovation for the ZA-V fertiliser spreader product range, AMAZONE now offers the ZA-V with hydraulic shutter actuation. This level of specification allows the direct operation of the shutter slides via two double-acting hydraulic spool valves on the tractor. As with all ZA-V product models, this version is also equipped with the precision spreading system for working widths from 10 to 36 m and which includes the SBS Soft Ballistic System. It is available in hopper capacities from 1,400 to 4,200 l. Via individual setting levers for each side of the spreader, the complete shutter slide assembly underneath of the aperture can be adjusted. The position of the shutter slide assembly is fixed via an additional clamping lever. The peculiarity of this model, with its hydraulic shutter slide adjustment, is that the hydraulic cylinder for the shutter slide actuation always opens or closes completely. The position of the setting lever only serves as a fixing for the shutter slide assembly, not as a stop to the shutter slide, and thus is not pressurised. In this way, any unintentional opening or adjustment of the application rate is avoided. In this version, the hydraulically-controlled Limiter V border spreading system is available for side, border or water course spreading. Prior to spreading, the recommended working height of the Limiter V is fixed via a pin, depending on the border situation. At the field s edge, the Limiter V can then be lowered hydraulically to this pre-selected position and then swivelled upwards when working in the field. The Limiter V is the simpler supplement to the Limiter V +, which is actuated electrically and, on the move, can be matched to the prevailing border spreading situation. 10 Innovations at SIMA 2017 ZA-V: lighter and smaller The new lightweight Special frame and a smaller hopper extension The new Special frame, featuring a payload of 2,200 kg, is introduced simultaneously together with the ZA-V with hydraulic shutter control. This new model features, alongside the other frames, a 700 l deep pressed base hopper and with the aid of an extension it can be built into a complete machine with a total volume of 1,400, 1,700 or 2,000 litres. In addition to the version with hydraulic shutter slides, this machine can also be combined with the electric Packs: either Easy or Control. In order to further round off the product programme at the lower end, AMAZONE introduces, for both the ZA-V and ZA-TS, a new hopper size. Previously the smallest spreader of these two models had a capacity of 1,700 l whereas, from 2017, also a smaller capacity of 1,400 l will be available.

11 Fertilising technology ZA-V: lighter and smaller ZA-V Hydro with hydraulic spreading disc drive ZA-V Hydro with hydraulic spreading disc drive To supplement the ZA-V programme at the top end, AMAZONE now introduces for the ZA-V, hydraulic spreading disc drive which enables individual control of the side, border and water course spreading operations to either side of the machine. For spreading at the field s edge, the switching over between these individual functions is possible on the move. If the pre-set disc speed is not ideally suited for an exact spreading right to the edge, it can then be adjusted via the terminal whilst driving. These changes are then automatically stored in the terminal for the relevant border situation. In addition to a fertiliser-saving, simply interchangeable and adjustable spreading at the field s border, the ZA-V Hydro also provides the benefit that this spreader operates completely independently from the tractor engine speed thus saving fuel. On the ZA-V Hydro, the Profis weighing system and Tronic ISOBUS communication come as standard. For spreading in short work and in wedges, the ZA-V Hydro in total can actuate 16 part-width sections in automatic mode via the AMAZONE GPS-Switch Section Control software or 8 partwidth sections in manual mode. Side, border and water course spreading As an innovation for the ZA-V fertiliser spreader product range, AMAZONE now offers the EasySet operating system. This new, in-cab terminal allows the specific, simple and comfortable actuation of all the basic functions of the spreader which are all electrically adjusted and actuated via the new machine-specific in-cab terminal. As on all ZA-V models, this EasySet variant is also equipped with the precision spreading unit for working widths of 10 to 36 m and features the Soft Ballistic System SBS. It is offered with hopper volumes from 1,400 to 4,200 l and can be equipped with the Limiter V + electric border spreading system for side, border or water course spreading around the headland. For operating the Limiter V +, initially the desired lowering depth for the relevant setting is pre-selected via the +/- keys on the in-cab terminal. Then the activation is done via that specific Limiter button. The change of the Limiter functions, for instance from field side to border or water course spreading is also done via the +/- keys. Depending on the situation, such as, for example, during water course spreading, the spread rate can also be reduced in the direction of the field s edge. As no hydraulic connections are necessary, the ZA-V Easy can be more quickly mounted and dismounted. So, to commence operation with the spreader, just a 3-pin power supply cable and the PTO shaft have to be first coupled to the tractor. With the aid of the EasySet terminal, the apertures can be adjusted by key pressure independently on either the left or right hand side and they can be readjusted on the move. This also allows individual rate adaptation for the left and right hand side. ZA-V Easy

15 Fertilising technology DynamicSpread dynamic part-width Section Control AMAPAD ZG-TS Hydro As standard the ZA-TS and ZG-TS ISOBUS fertiliser spreaders feature a multiple part-width Section Control. This control can be actuated either manually or automatically via the Section Control software. Up until now the maximum number of part-width sections has been 16 which, when operated in combination with the AMAZONE GPS-Switch Section Control software, can be switched automatically. For users who wish to spread even more precisely in wedge-shaped fields, in short work or around obstacles, AMAZONE has developed an innovation: DynamicSpread dynamic part-width Section Control for the ZA-TS Hydro mounted and the ZG-TS Hydro trailed spreaders. The system is based on the newly developed software for the job computer on both fertiliser spreaders. In combination with GPS- Switch and the AMATRON 3, CCI 100 or AMAPAD terminals from AMAZONE, the new software is able to switch 64 or 128 part-width sections, resulting in a dynamic matching of spread width and the spread rate to the field shape. With a choice of 64 or 128 part-width sections, DynamicSpread significantly exceeds the currently available ISOBUS standard, meaning that although this high number of part-width sections is always possible with AMAZONE terminals, the ISOBUS terminals of other manufacturers, however, can possibly only actuate much fewer part-width sections. as the spreaders feature a delivery system adjustment and hydraulically-driven spreading discs that can be adjusted independently of each other to either the left or right hand side. In this way, the working width and spread rate can be adapted precisely and quickly to varying field shapes. The most important benefits of the DynamicSpread dynamic part-width Section Control is the higher precision and so, in this way, even greater savings on fertiliser. So, the spreading of fertiliser in wedge shaped fields, and in short work as well as around obstacles, is thus further improved. The benefits get bigger the larger the working width of the spreader is, the higher the operational speed is and the more variable the field shapes are. The basic design of the ZA-TS Hydro and ZG-TS Hydro fertiliser spreaders has been already designed around the high accuracy of the dynamic part-width Section Control ZA-TS Hydro

17 Crop protection technology Pantera 4502: new emission standard Pantera 4502 with exhaustion standard 4 Integrated DEF tank The Pantera concept means that larger farms and contractors are optimally equipped to cope with any challenges in crop protection application thrown at them. This self-propelled crop protection sprayer combines ultra-modern technology with high-tech management systems and, for the 2017 model year, the AMAZONE self-propelled range Pantera, Pantera-H and Pantera-W will receive some new features to further assist their road to success. The heart of Pantera 4502 is the proven 6-cylinder Deutz engine with a power rating of 218 HP. The in-line engine, with turbocharger and intercooling for highest performance requirements, provides thanks to the intelligent engine management in ECO mode minimal fuel consumption. If, however, more power is required, for instance when working on steep slopes, then the POWER mode is always available to the driver that enables them to obtain maximum power at 2,200 min -1. As from the new model year, the Pantera will meet emission standard 4. With regard to the topic of post exhaust emissions treatment, AMAZONE relies on the exhaust gas recirculation with a diesel oxidation catalyst and diesel particulate filter all of which help in saving the environment. During operation, the diesel particulate filter is regenerated continuously and in this way, and contrary to the 3B engine, it does not require an additional burner. With the aid of Diesel-Exhaust-Fluid (DEF) injection, the SCR catalyst reduces the level of nitrogen oxide emitted. The new 20 litre DEF tank is positioned at the side of the 230 litre diesel tank. 18 Innovations at SIMA 2017 New tank access ladder LED rear lights The DEF consumption amounts to approximately 2.5 % of the fuel consumption, meaning that DEF only requires refilling every 3 or 4 tank fills. Apart from the changes to the exhaust system, additional alterations and improvements are also introduced with this model change. The external distinguishing features are, in addition to the DEF tank and the new tank access ladder on the right machine side, the new LED rear lights. The new Pantera models can also be equipped with LED work lights instead of the standard Halogen lights if desired. Furthermore, the suction capacity of the Pantera is increased by 20 % up to a maximum of 600 l/min with the aid of an injection system. In this way, the Pantera is filled in less than 10 min. To aid headland filling, the bowser fill port has been relocated forwards into the storage compartment under the cab and comes as standard now with automatic fill stop. This automatically prevents both, via the suction hose and now when filling under pressure, any potential overfilling of the machine. Moreover, the Pantera can also be ordered in the Pantera + version. In this plus version, the Pantera features, thanks to the alternative drive wheel reduction gearboxes, a more than 25 % better climbing ability. This option has been especially designed for extreme conditions in hilly terrain. Whereas the normal Pantera with a full tank can travel on a slope of approximately 27 %, the Pantera +, thanks to an alternative wheel gear ratio, can travel on a slope of approximately 34 %. It features a hydraulic height adjustment, which, by pressing a button in the terminal, can increase the ground clearance of the machine from 1.25 to 1.70 m. For an even better protection of the plants in these high crops AMAZONE offers for the Pantera-H, in addition to the standard wheel motor covers three further special options. The crop divider, which is attached in front of the four tyres, guides the plant at the headland or when entering the row very gently past the wheel. In addition the Pantera can also be equipped with an underbody protection plate to avoid damage to plants which are being pushed underneath the machine. The corncobs on the maize plants are often located at the height of the wheel gearboxes. The well-rounded covers let them gently slide past the gearboxes.

21 Crop protection technology AmaSwitch entry-level individual nozzle switching AmaSwitch individual nozzle switching As an innovation to its range of crop protection sprayers, AMAZONE introduces its electric AmaSwitch individual nozzle switching system. If AmaSwitch is used in combination with the automatic GPS-Switch headland and part-width Section Control, the switching of individual nozzles on a 50 cm part-width section is carried out automatically. The decisive benefit of this individual nozzle switching is the possibility of operating with smaller part-width sections in wedge shaped fields and in short work, as well as on the headland, meaning that it can be even more precise. The overlap areas are significantly reduced by up to 85 % reduced in comparison with conventional Section Control part-width section shut-off. In this way the combination of GPS-Switch and AmaSwitch, depending on the field shape, working width and the number of existing part-width sections, results in big crop protection agent savings compared with usual crop protection systems. The new technology is based around 3-fold nozzle bodies with electric on/off switching to each body. In addition to the automatic switching with 50 cm part width sections, there is also the possibility to freely configure the part-width sections. This is in comparison to the AmaSelect electric individual nozzle control with 4-fold nozzle bodies, which in addition to the 50 cm part-width sections features an automatic electric nozzle add-in or switch over. AmaSwitch is a favourablypriced alternative for users who do not attach importance to the principle of electric nozzle control, who though, however, wish to utilise the very precise switching in wedge shaped fields and overlap zones thanks to the 50 cm part-width Section Control. The standard equipment of AmaSwitch includes DUS pro high pressure recirculation. DUS pro prevents deposits in the spray line and provides a uniform, consistent spray liquid concentration. Thanks to the pressure recirculation system, all the nozzles operate at full dose immediately over the entire working width. In addition when individual partwidth sections are switched off and during turning or in transport, the spray agent is in constant circulation. In this way, deposits, blockages or segregation within the spray lines are safely prevented. As special option AmaSwitch can also be supplied in combination with LED individual nozzle lighting. 23 Crop protection technology HeightSelect for AmaSelect individual nozzle switching For safe and effective crop protection application, both technical and meteorological parameters have to be considered. The aim is to maintain an application that offers little drift, which, in addition to nozzle choice, spray pressure and forward speed, is also achieved by maintaining the correct boom height. At a low target surface distance, the wind affects droplets very little. The optimum boom height depends on the spray fan angle of the nozzles and of the nozzle spacing on the boom. From choice, nozzle spacings of either 25 cm or 50 cm are possible. The optimum lateral distribution of the spray liquid on the target surface is ensured when all of these variables are well matched. The electric AmaSelect 4-fold individual nozzle control consists of a 4-fold nozzle body with electric nozzle switching over and switching off. As an option, the AmaSelect nozzle body can be equipped with an extension kit for 25 cm nozzle spacing. This offers the benefit, in conjunction with special 80 nozzles, to reduce the target surface distance to less than 50 cm. AmaSelect provides the customer with the big advantage, that, for a nozzle change, he does not have to climb down from the tractor but can comfortably switch over between any of four nozzles from the tractor cab. A further possibility is to carry out the switching over or additional switching of a nozzle automatically. By entering into the terminal the optimum pressure range of each individual nozzle within the 4-fold nozzle body, the system automatically switches over the nozzles as specified. This offers the possibility, for instance when leaving the optimum pressure range, to change from the nozzle configuration AmaSelect electric individual nozzle control with 4-fold nozzle body and a choice of 50 or 25 cm nozzle spacing

With the aid of HeightSelect, now also the distance between boom and target crop is automatically matched depending on nozzle spacing and nozzle type. The innovation for HeightSelect comes from the automatic and continuous control of the boom height at a change of nozzle spacing and/or nozzle type. If that nozzle is switched, the automatic boom guidance regulates the relevant suitable target surface distance. This automation improves the efficacy of the crop protection agent by always utilising an optimum lateral distribution and at minimum drift. 26 Innovations at SIMA 2017 AmaSpot sensor nozzle system The intelligent sensor nozzle system for spray rate reduction in crop protection In co-operation with the companies Rometron and agrotop, AMAZONE introduces an innovation in the sector of partarea site specific crop protection with its intelligent AmaSpot sensor nozzle system. In light of the current discussions concerning the appropriate application of crop protection agents, it is important that one of the leading manufacturers of crop protection machinery should develop systems that allow the application of crop protection agents with the highest possible efficiency whilst offering a simultaneous reduction in application rates. With the AmaSpot system, AMAZONE now offers the customer the possibility to renounce full area total herbicide application and to treat just the areas where in fact weeds or volunteer grains are prevalent.

27 Crop protection technology AmaSpot sensor nozzle system AmaSpot boom integration For detecting the targeted plants, the AmaSpot system features the GreenSense fluorescence sensor. Thanks to its chlorophyll detection ability, it can differentiate between green plants and bare ground. With a sensor spacing of 100 cm along the boom, and a resolution in 4 sectors within the sensor, strips with a width of 25 cm are scanned. Via the layout of the sensors, the entire field surface is scanned resulting in a very high precision in targeting the application of crop protection agents. Systems so far that are associated with part-area site specific application just scan a few square metres of the total working width. Whereas here, the sensors recognise a plant and the nozzle switches on and off with centimetre precision, even at a speeds of 20 km/h or at night. In addition to the GreenSense sensor, the system features a special nozzle technology that can be controlled with the highest precision. In a split second the nozzles can open or close and thus only treat that specific area of weeds with the crop protection agent. Solely for the AmaSpot system, the company agrotop has developed the SpotFan nozzle. The nozzle system works according to the pulse width frequency modulation (PWFM) principle. Here, a valve regulates, in the high frequency range of 50 Hz (50 switches per second), the variation between the nozzle being fully closed or open (pulse width). In addition to this level of technology, the length of time between each switching can also be adjusted (pulse frequency). Due to this PWFM regulation, the spray pressure and thus the droplet size are always maintained. In addition, the high droplet speed results in a short droplet flight time, resulting in a precise application at the targeted plant plus, at the same time, in a high drift reduction. Of course, the system is also suitable for just full area application. However, in addition, the full area and part area site-specific applications can be combined. In this way, for example, 30 % of the application rate can be sprayed across the total area but, in parts, where the sensor detects an area with weeds, the rate increases to 100 %, resulting in the full application rate only in areas with a heavy weed content. The combination of the three components (Sensor Nozzle Switching Nozzle) on the AMAZONE sprayer allows the very precise application, such as, for example, of glyphosate with the important objective of reducing the application rates. In direct drilling situations the savings could also be up to 80 % compared with a full area blanket treatment. The huge decrease in the total amount applied offers labour efficiency savings as the number of tank refills per day is reduced and thus the work rate increases. By this increase in output it is always then possible to apply the chemical at the optimum time whereby drift and evaporation are reduced. Lower application rates, especially of glyphosate, reduce both variable costs and help in protecting the environment. 33 Sowing technology Cataya seed drill combination Confortable filling via a front end loader Precis metering system At SIMA 2017, AMAZONE introduces its new conventional seed drill combination: with electric metering drive: the Cataya. The Cataya 3000 Super pack top seed drill, which has been designed for professional arable farms, can be combined, from choice, with the new KE 3001 rotary harrow or with either the new KG or KX 3001 rotary cultivators. The overall concept of the seed drill and soil tillage implement comes over as being all in one. It is characterised by its slender, but however, large-capacity seed hopper. The 830 l basic volume can be increased with the aid of an extension to capacity of 1,270 l, which is, for conventional sowing combinations, a very big capacity and this results in reduced fill times and, overall, in more efficiency. And, with its 2.60 m wide x 0.75 m deep hopper, the opening is large enough also that the machine can be filled via a front end loader or big bags without a problem. However, if using small bags, the hopper cover serves as a loading aid and the ladder, the wide loading board and the handrail up to the hopper all help ease the filling operation. The fill level sensor inside the hopper is steplessly adjustable in height so that its position can conveniently be matched to different seed types. In addition to the conceptual design, the Cataya is characterised by various key functional innovations such as the Precis metering system, drill adjustments via the SmartCenter, the electric metering drive, the TwinTeC double disc coulters and the ISOBUS control of the machine. Comfortable Precis metering system The Precis metering system is designed to provide comfort and reduced set up times. The Precis metering system includes a double shutter slide with two locking positions to enable the quick changeover from normal to fine seeds and vice versa. Also new are the integrated outlet chutes, which result in minimal residues in the seed hopper, prevent the formation of bridges between the outlets and simplify cleaning the hopper. Additionally, the centrally settable calibration flaps enable the quick and simple conversion of the machine from sowing to the calibration process. Further benefits of this drive are the simple adjustment of the seed rate from the driver s seat, the possibility of site-specific seed rate variation according to application maps and also the ability for pre-metering in field corners. The radar sensor provides the speed signal for the metering process. With the aid of this sensor the forward speed is precisely, and slippage-free, transmitted to the electric metering drive. With the aid of the electric tramline control, the standard equipment enables the switching of 2 x 3 or, as an option, of 2 x 5 tramline rows. Via the half-side shut-off control of both the seed and lay shafts, asymmetrical tramline rhythms are also possible. In addition to the one-sided electric drive, the Cataya can be equipped with the optional double-sided drive. Thus the Cataya makes possible, from choice, the optional control of the right or left hand halves of the drill from the tractor cab. This function, when used in combination with Section Control, means that overlaps in wedge shaped fields and on diagonal headlands are further reduced. SmartCenter for calibration Calibration is carried out via the new SmartCenter which is found on the left hand side of the machine. Here all the setting possibilities are visibly listed in a table. The preselection of the metering device is carried out via the shift lever which enables the adjustment of the bottom flap according to the different seeds and seed rates. The second lever allows the driver to adjust the machine to either calibration or sowing. In the metering device a flap is adjusted which delivers the seed either to the coulters or to the calibration trays. The calibration process requires thanks to the electric drive just the press of a button. The two calibration trays, which collect the seed, can be centrally pulled out of the machine on the left hand side below the SmartCenter. So, there is no need to walk unneccessarily around the machine during the calibration process. 35 Sowing technology Cataya seed drill combination Hand wash tank In order to ensure that the coulters turn smoothly, a scraper is mounted to the inside of the twin discs balance with illuminated digital display. Both are stowed away to save space inside the SmartCenter. After the calibration process and the checking of the sowing depth, the driver can even wash his hands using the 5 litre hand wash tank and the soap dispenser on the right hand side of the Cataya. To further simplify the pre-metering, the calibration and the residue emptying, AMAZONE offers for the Cataya, in conjunction with the AMATRON 3, CCI 100 or AMAPAD operator terminals, Comfort Pack 1 with TwinTerminal 3.0. This terminal is mounted directly down on the seed drill within the SmartCenter. So, the driver now can carry out the data input and actuation of the calibration procedure directly on the machine down in the SmartCenter and thus the repeated climbing up and down into the tractor is no longer necessary. For ISOBUS control of the drill combination then, from choice, the AMATRON 3, CCI or AMAPAD ISOBUS terminals from AMAZONE can be utilised or, alternatively, an ISOBUS terminal from another manufacturer. Precise seed placement The new Cataya 3000 Super is equipped with TwinTeC double disc coulters. The TwinTeC coulter system ensures a clean seed placement. With a coulter pressure of up to 60 kg/coulter, the coulter travels very smoothly through the soil and precisely places the seed at the optimum depth. And thanks to the way that the coulters are mounted onto the contour-following coulter rail, central adjustment of the coulter pressure is possible. Since the sowing depth is maintained by means of the depth guidance rollers, the sowing depth of all the coulters can be adjusted centrally from 0 to 6 cm independently of the coulter pressure. From choice, a row spacing of either 12.5 cm or 15 cm is available. For undersowing seeds and slug pellets Parallel to the sowing process, the Cataya also allows the application of undersown seeds, slug pellets or catch crops. Available for this, as an option, is the GreenDrill 200E catch crop seeder box with a hopper volume of 200 l and an electrically-driven metering shaft and blower fan; this is mounted at the rear of the machine. 36 Innovations at SIMA 2017 Sprung-suspended side plates Tractor wheel mark eradicators New models for active soil tillage For soil tillage implements that complement the Cataya combination, AMAZONE offers the new KE 3001 rotary harrow and the new KG 3001 and KX 3001 rotary cultivators. A new coupling concept ensures that the seed drill and the soil tillage implement can be very simply uncoupled so that solo operation of the soil tillage implement is possible without any problems. In this case, the seed drill s LED lights for road transport can be fitted to the soil tillage implement for solo operation. Further innovations include the new sprung side guide plate, which is adjustable via a slotted hole and is equipped as standard on all machines plus, in addition, the ability for the working depth of the levelling board to be adjusted irrespective of the working depth of the soil tillage tool with the board being guided via the following roller. The depth adjustment of the levelling board, according to the prevailing soil conditions, is carried out simply and centrally at the left hand side of the machine. The new tractor wheel mark eradicator, with exchangeable points for differing soil conditions, makes perfect the equipment levels of the new soil tillage implements. The working depth adjustment is done comfortably and easily via the well-known eccentric pins. On request, the KG and KX rotary cultivators can also be equipped with the convenient hydraulic depth adjustment. In this way the working depth can be adjusted on the move and be matched to the different soil conditions.

In the future AMAZONE will offer this new double disc coulter alongside the renowned RoTeC pro single disc coulters. In this way the Cirrus is a seed drill which, from choice, depending on the farm situation, can be equipped with either a single disc or double disc coulter system. The coulter systems in comparison With the RoTeC pro single disc coulters and the TwinTeC + double disc coulters AMAZONE offers two alternative, highquality coulter systems for the Cirrus and C. Both systems complement each other in their scope of operation. So the Cirrus in combination with the RoTeC pro single disc coulters shows its strength above all on light to moist-heavy and sticky soils, where large amounts of harvest residues or small stones prevail. Additionally, when sowing on narrow row spacings and also where a good passage of material is necessary in wet, sticky sowing conditions, the RoTeC pro system also is the right choice. So, the seed furrows are cleared with the RoTeC pro coulters and with the TwinTeC + coulters they are cut. With RoTeC pro, the Cirrus operates at an optimum speed range from 8 to 16 km/h, whereas with TwinTeC + at 10 to 20 km/h. Both systems can be supplied with a row spacing of 16.6 cm, however, the Cirrus with RoTeC pro coulters also comes with a row spacing of 12.5 cm. For the RoTeC pro coulter, the Cirrus can be equipped with the following Exact harrow S for differing conditions or with the Roller harrow. The TwinTeC + coulter always includes a following depth guidance roller. In addition, here still, a coulter harrow can be used. TwinTeC + a completely new development The TwinTeC + double disc coulter system is characterised by a number of technical innovations. As such it features a stepless, hydraulic adjustment of the coulter pressure which includes a wide setting range of 15 to 100 kg. In this way the pressure can be matched to changing soil conditions quickly and easily. As the pressure supply is carried out via a constant oil circuit, the consistent depth guidance of the coulters, even in changeable soil contours, is ensured. Irrespective of the pressure, the working depth of the coulters can be adjusted. For this, AMAZONE has equipped the machine with a comfortable, central setting system which

All the crank handles are additionally equipped with an easily-readable, numerical scale for easy depth adjustment. The very robust, 380 mm diameter TwinTeC + double disc coulters are each fitted to a coulter carrier base body. With its robust construction, the deflection of the coulters at the coulter beam is designed for operation under the most arduous of conditions. Fitted behind each coulter is a 380 mm diameter Control + depth guidance roller with rubber tyre which follows the seed groove absolutely perfectly. It is attached to the coulter via a special wheel carrier made from hardened and tempered steel. Matched to light, medium or heavy soil conditions, depth guidance rollers with running widths of 50 mm, 65 mm or 80 mm can be fitted from choice. To the second coulter row, and as an option, a coulter harrow can be fitted to the wheel carriers. Via an adjustable linkage, the operating intensity of the harrow can be set in three steps. One peculiarity is also the seed guidance with an internal scraper fitted as standard which is mounted between the double disc coulters. 43 Soil tillage Catros Special for high output soil tillage Side discs in working position Side discs in transport position With the Catros 2503, 3003, 3503 and 4003 Special, AMAZONE now offers new affordable models as an alternative to the proven Catros 01 mounted compact disc harrows. As oppose to the classic Catros models, where the offset of the two disc rows can be adjusted in relation to each other, the disc rows on the new Catros Special are fixed. However, like the classic Catros 01 series, the new Catros Special can also be, from choice, equipped with either the smooth 460 mm discs or as Catros + Special with serrated 510 mm discs. The excellent ground contour following of the individually suspended discs, mounted on sprung rubber elements, and also the maintenance-free oil immersed bearings of the discs are taken directly from the 10,000 times proven Catros 01 series. The disc-to-disc spacing of 12.5 cm and the steep 17 angle of attack of the discs in the front row and 14 in the rear row ensures that the full area is worked and a perfect incorporation of organic matter is achieved. Thanks to the folding side discs also, for instance, on the Catros 3003 Special, a true working width of 3 m is achieved. To ensure the optimum matching to the next bout, the side discs can be individually height adjusted. The working depth can comfortably be adjusted by swivelling in and out spacer plates that are arranged centrally to the left hand side of the machine. So, with the Catros Special working depths of 3 to 12 cm and with the Catros + Special of 5 cm to 15 cm can be achieved. For the reconsolidation of the soil, AMAZONE offers also for these new product models a choice of 9 different following rollers so that the machine can be matched to the different field conditions. For linking to the tractor, the Catros Special provides a high level of flexibility. So normally, the coupling of the lower link arms is carried out via Cat. 3 pins. However, by a simple repositioning of the lower link pin, a spacing of Cat. 3 or Cat. 2 can be achieved if desired. Two different mounting heights are available for the top link pin. As an option, the Catros Special can be ballasted, adding to the weight of the Catros Special by a maximum of 200 kg for very arduous field conditions. For catch crop sowing with the Catros Special, the Green- Drill 200 with its 200 l seed hopper is also available. It can be equipped either with the simple GreenDrill 3.2 operator terminal or optionally with the GreenDrill Control 5.2. The new models are characterised by their high efficiency and yet a low specific pulling power requirement and thus are ideally suited for operating behind tractors in the 210 to 350 HP class which are very common on any large estates. The fundamental feature of the Catros + -TX is the central running gear that ensures such high manoeuvrability. The oversized transport wheels provide safe road transport and offer reduced depth of any wheel marks in the field. And with the pressurised air braking system, transport speeds of up to 40 km/h are permissible. Depending on operational conditions, the Catros + -TX can be equipped, from choice, with either smooth or serrated 510 mm discs. The excellent ground contour following system provided by the individually suspended discs, which are mounted via sprung rubber elements and run on maintenance-free oil immersed bearings, have proven themselves time and time again over many years in the Catros. The 12.5 cm disc-to-disc spacing and the steep 17 angle of attack of the discs in the front and 14 in the rear disc row ensure the overall optimum operation and the perfect incorporation of organic matter. This perfect soil contour following ability is yet further enhanced by the ContourFrame system that has been seen previously in the 12 m Catros. Here, the hydraulic rams of the outer sections are pre-pressurised via hydraulic accumulators and then, when moved into the float position, it means that each of the three sections can adapt upwards and downwards to follow the soil contours even in hilly terrain. ContourFrame operates on the pre-pressurised outer sections via a float position

46 Innovations at SIMA 2017 Hydraulic adjustment of the working depth as standard Optional Crushboard Adjustment of the working depth is carried out, very comfortably and as standard, via a hydraulic spool valve from the tractor cab ensuring that the working depth can be flexibly matched to the situation. This allows operation in the field to be as shallow as possible and, on the headlands and in deep wheel tracks, as deep as necessary. For the optimum depth control, and to provide a smooth run, the Catros + -TX is guided at the front via support wheels and at the rear via the following roller. For an optimum bout matching, the side discs can be adjusted for height separately. For an optimum reconsolidation of the ground, and depending on the soil type and conditions, a wide choice of 9 different following rollers is available. These include, for instance, a cage roller, a tandem roller, U-profile and double U-profile rollers, a wedge ring roller, a wedge ring roller with Matrix tyre profile or the new disc roller. In the area ahead of the disc rows, or alternatively in front of the following roller, the new models can be additionally equipped with a Crushboard. The Crushboard provides a perfect levelling of the soil surface and an additional crumbling of the soil. The adjustment is possible either mechanically or, if specified, hydraulically from the tractor cab. For the convenient connection to different tractors, the Catros + -TX can be optionally equipped with a lower link cross shaft from Cat. III to V, a ball coupling or, alternatively, via a pulling eye. 49 Soil tillage Hydraulically actuated offset-slide unit for the Catros/Catros + compact disc harrow Transport position Working position As standard the Catros/Catros and 3501 compact disc harrows are equipped with an offset-slide unit of the disc rows. This is utilised, on the one hand, to adjust the optimum offset between the first and the second disc row and, on the other hand with these rigid machines, the offset is also used to change between the transport and the operational position. As the offset-slide procedure is carried out with the aid of the ground resistance, the machine has to be lowered onto the ground and moved to and fro for a short distance. To further simplify this adjustment, AMAZONE now also offers a hydraulic actuation of the offset-slide unit, allowing the driver to set the disc offset very easily via a tractor hydraulic valve and thus to change very simply between transport and the operational position of the machine. AMAZONE offers the hydraulic actuation factory-fitted as a special option for all new Catros/Catros and 3501 compact disc harrow whereas, for older machines, a retrofit kit is also available.

51 Soil tillage Cenius Super with C-Mix Super tines Additional protection via shear bolt New to the AMAZONE cultivator programme, and available with immediate effect, is the folding Cenius Super mulch cultivator in 4 m working width. The Cenius is equipped with the new C-Mix Super tines. The special advantage of these tines is that they are protected via a pressurised spring overload safety device. With a release force of more than 600 kg and a 300 mm lift height, they provide reliable operation even on heavy and stony soils at working depths down to 30 cm. For obstacles larger than 300 mm, the leg of each tine is additionally secured via a shear bolt so that it can fold upwards completely and this prevents any potential damage to the tine. The C-Mix system includes a variety of share options so that the three-row cultivator can be used flexibly either for shallow stubble cultivating and top soil deep loosening right through to seedbed preparation. 350 mm C-Mix wing share, it can be also used for stubble tilling. Adjustment of the Cenius is extremely comfortable. The depth setting is carried out centrally either via two spindles at the left and right hand side of the machine or, as an option, it can also be adjusted hydraulically from the tractor seat. Depending on field and soil conditions, nine different rear consolidation rollers are, from choice, available for the Cenius Super. From the simple cage roller or tandem roller via the U profile and Double-U profile rollers through to either the wedge ring roller or wedge ring roller with Matrix tyre profile. For operation in very arduous soil conditions there is the new Disc roller which can also be combined with the Cenius Especially for shallow operation, the C-Mix goose foot share or the C-Mix wing share are available. The ideal solution for medium-deep soil tillage is the C-Mix 100 tip with its 100 guide plate whereas, for deeper tillage, the C-Mix 80 tip with its 80 guide plate is preferred. The latest innovation for the C-Mix share system is the C-Mix HD share which, thanks to its hard metal insert plates in the main wear areas, is characterised by an especially high resistance to wear. It is a one-piece share with integrated spiral guide plate and is ideally suited for intensive mixing at working depths from 12 to 30 cm. 53 Soil tillage Disc roller The basic design of this roller consists of steel plate elements with serrated outer rims, enclosed and welded in pairs AMAZONE now has broadened its programme of following rollers for passive soil tillage implements with the new Disc roller. This new roller has been designed in the main for operation on heavy, moist soils. The basic design of this roller consists of steel plate elements with serrated outer rims, enclosed and welded in pairs. These elements feature a diameter of 600 mm and are arranged on a shaft at a spacing of 12.5 cm. To prevent the roller from being clogged with soil, it is equipped with individually bolted, adjustable scrapers. The plate elements are designed to suffer little wear and can be exchanged, if necessary, without any problem. The new roller can be fitted to all passive soil tillage implements from AMAZONE. To allow the flexible response to all soil conditions it can be exchanged for one of nine other roller versions from within the AMAZONE programme without any problem. So, for instance, for operation on medium and changeable soils, the KW wedge ring roller or, for work in sandy soils, the DUW Double U-profile roller is available. Thanks to its high weight of 220 kg/m working width and a narrow rim, the Disc roller, in heavy soils, performs an excellent deep reconsolidation and offers a good crumbling effect. Soil clods are cut and stones are pressed into the soil. In this way, the roller leaves a coarse soil surface and thus works towards reducing capping susceptibility and creates a good air and water exchange in the cultivated soils. In this way, the simple, very quick and, above all, time saving change over from, for instance, a deep loosening with narrow shares to stubble work with goose foot shares is possible without any problem. Thus the operating costs can be kept to a level as low as possible. The C-Mix-Clip share system consists, exactly like the known C-Mix shares, of a guide plate and a tip. Also on the C-Mix- Clip system, the guide plate is fixed to the tine and the tip is then fixed on the quick change system. After the initial, simple assembly of the C-Mix-Clip bracket on to the tine, different share tips can be attached with the aid of an easily detachable locking pin according to the relevant operational purpose. The securing pin is guided at the reverse side of the tine through a hollow bolt and thus holds the relevant share tip safely on the C-Mix-Clip bracket. A special tool is available to firmly push the share onto the C-Mix-Clip bracket. This offers additional comfort during the simple change by a reliable pushing on of the share tips. With the C-Mix quick change system, AMAZONE has established a system which not only reduces the unnecessary expenditure and thus the costs of a share change but also allow the individual and quick response to the prevailing operational purpose. Depending on the operating conditions, AMAZONE offers an 80 mm wide tine which is especially ideal for the intensive loosening at working depths of 12 cm to 30 cm and achieving the perfect mixing of organic matter also in deeper soil layers. In addition, a 100 mm wide share tip is available, suitable for 10 cm to 20 cm working depth and is thus suitable both for the deeper stubble tillage and also for primary soil tillage. With the takeover of the plough factory from Vogel & Noot located in the Hungarian region of Mosonmagyarovar, AMAZONE has further expanded its range of ploughs. In this way, AMAZONE has now in addition to the existing Cayron series five further models of mounted reversible ploughs in different sizes and designs from 3 to 6 furrows and for tractors from 60 to 380 HP in its programme. The smallest Cayros M series includes three to four furrow ploughs for tractors up to 120 HP. Cayros M ploughs feature a beam clearance of 78 cm and interbody clearances of 95 and 102 cm. The beam measures 120 x 100 x 8 mm and features a turnover shaft diameter of 80 mm on models with stepless furrow width adjustment and, for the hydraulic stone release ploughs even 90 mm. Cayros M Cayros XM Then, going up in size, the Cayros XM, XMS and XS ranges, for tractors of up to 140 HP, 200 HP and 260 HP respectively, offer stronger components still. The top of the range model ploughs are represented by the Cayros XS pro with interbody clearances of up to 105 cm and a beam clearance of up to 90 cm. These ploughs feature an over-dimensioned 200 x 150 x 10 mm beam and a turnover shaft 120 mm in diameter. This series includes three types with four to six furrows for tractors up to 380 HP. 58 Innovations at SIMA 2017 Stone safety release shear bolt (section) Stone safety release semi-automatic (section) Stone safety release hydraulic (section) All the series offer a vast variety of equipment, meaning that the new ploughs can be equipped optionally with mechanical or with hydraulic furrow width adjustment. The mechanical adjustment is carried out in four steps via the manual swivelling of the plough leg, allowing for a simple matching of the implement to different soil conditions and tractors. The comfortable hydraulic setting is done steplessly from the tractor cab. In a glance, the driver can see the furrow width via the large and clear scale. When changing the working width, the traction point and the furrow width of the first body are automatically matched. For stone protection, a mechanical version via shear bolts, a semi-automatic system via coil springs or a fully automatic hydraulic version are available. The hydraulic stone safety release provides the possibility with a centralised hydraulic system to adjust the release force of the stone safety system centrally and steplessly via a tractor spool valve. This makes possible a very quick and simple matching to the different soil conditions. The system has been designed in such a way that after a brief spike in the release force curve this will decrease more and more as the trip height increases. This keeps the plough body on the one hand in difficult conditions safely in the soil and, on the other hand, the decreasing release force curve helps to protect the entire plough. After the obstacle has been negotiated, the release force increases again and the quick and safe penetration of the plough body into the soil is ensured. In addition, even the hydraulic stone-protection plough bodies are protected via a shear bolt for extreme situations, such as, for instance when it hooks under roots or rock plates. The Cayros plough range contains a selection of seven different plough bodies and therefore guarantees a perfect working profile across the most different of soil conditions. The WY400, a scrolled universal body for medium to heavy soils, is included in the programme that is characterised by its exceptionally easy pulling. In the WL430, AMAZONE offers a heavily scrolled and long drawn out body with outstanding furrow clearance and excellent inversion of larger amounts of crop residues. The WXH400 is an especially coiled body for medium to heavy soils. Also available for the Cayros is the WX400 shallow, helical plough body. This body is ideal for very heavy soils and, thanks to its profile, is also very easy to pull, even in the most extreme of conditions. In addition, this body also has an excellent cleaning ability. 59 Soil tillage Cayros reversible ploughs plus hardening process heavy soils then the WXL430 body is best suited, which, due to its pointed shape offers a very easy pulling performance even under these conditions. The UN400, or the UN430, bodies, with their steep universal profile, are ideal for when ploughing deeper at down to 35 cm to 40 cm in light to medium soils. The programme is then rounded off by the WST430 slatted mouldboard, which has been especially designed for sticky soils where it performs a good crumbling and furrow clearance. In addition to the different plough bodies, the plough, depending on field and operating conditions, can be equipped with different leading and working tools as well as disc coulters of different diameters. In this way, the Cayros range offers, due to its clever design of many component groups, a versatile modular system which allows the realisation of numerous plough versions. This allows the matching of the plough specification to the prevailing requirements without compromise. One specific quality feature of the Cayros ploughs is the heat treatment with the plus hardening process for the mouldboards. This heat treatment results in a prolonged longevity, high impact strength and a smaller pulling power requirement at a reduced fuel consumption. The spiral shape of the mouldboard results in a clean turning of the soil furrow and a simultaneously low pulling power requirement. In addition, the C-Blade W 35 is characterised by its very wide furrow cleaning. The optimum working range of this body is between 18 and 30 cm furrow depth and 30 to 50 cm furrow width. As well as the C-Blade U 40 universal body, this new helical mouldboard is also equipped with an enlarged front shin on the mouldboard which covers the entire main wear area of the body. This results in reduced running costs because, in case of wear in this area, only the front shin of the mouldboard has to be exchanged. As a second peculiarity, the wing of the C-Blade plough body has been designed in such a way that the point covers the wing so that the joint is well protected. So, foreign objects, such as, for example baler twine, wire or root residues are prevented from becoming trapped in the joint.

63 Groundcare technology E+S H Hydraulic spreading disc drive Spreading material saving agitator AMAZONE introduces the new E+S H 751 winter salt spreader. The spreader is equipped with a 750 litre hopper, hydraulic spreading disc drive and a forward speed-related spread rate control and rounds off the AMAZONE winter spreader programme at the top end of the range. As the spreading width is controlled via the rotational speed of the hydraulically driven spreading disc, the new E+S allows stepless adjustment over a wide spreading width spectrum from 1 to 8 m. At the same time, due to the hydraulic drive, any salt dust development is kept to a minimum, compared with the use of a spread width deflector. In addition, the rotational speed of the agitator, which is combined with the spreading disc speed, is reduced to a minimum when the tractor stops. In this way, the damaging of the spreading material in the hopper and any possible blockage is avoided. Thanks to the variable delivery system adjustment, the E+S H 751 can be set to spread either symmetrically or asymmetrically. The spread fan can be set extremely precisely via the SmartCenter, which is comfortably arranged to the rear of the tractor level with the hopper tip. The spreader is operated electrically via the new EasySet E+S terminal. Here, the driver can, by pressing a button, open and close the shutter slide as well as the stepless matching of the spreading width. For the basic setting and the position of the shutter slide and thus control of the spread rate plus and minus keys are easily located. With the function %, the possibility exists to significantly increase the spread rate at critical spots, e. g. on bridges. Additionally the forward speed-related spread rate control is carried out via EasySet E+S. SmartCenter: offers simple adjustment and readjustment of the symmetrical and asymmetrical spread fans via the delivery system adjustment Simple and comfortable operation with EasySet E+S

64 Innovations at SIMA 2017 E+S spreading system LED work lights (optional) For a long service life, the shutter assembly, spreading disc and the spreading vanes of the E+S H 751 are made from stainless steel. Also the hopper tip is formed out of stainless steel and is seamlessly attached to the hopper via to a laser welding process, preventing corrosion if, after cleaning, highly salt concentrated residual water remains in the hopper. In addition, the long service life is ensured by a durable multilayer lacquer finish and zinc phosphate treatment similar to the standard found in the automotive industry. As special options, AMAZONE offers both a robust mudguard and a LED work light for the E+S H 751. The mudguard protects the tractor from corrosive salt particles. The LED work light, which can be switched on via the EasySet E+S operator terminal, allows, thanks to the bright, red coloured light, a good view of the spread fan at night and at snowfall. Steep hopper walls ensure that the spreading material optimally flows. With the aid of bolt-on extensions, the capacity of the hopper can be increased, by either 180 or 360 l, up to a maximum of 1,100 litres. The reliably closing, and easy to open, swivel hopper cover with its sight glass window rounds off the equipment of the new spreader.
