4 RANGE OF APPLICATIONS VERSATILE AND EFFICIENT ROADBUILDING TRANSPORTATION OF MATERIALS There s no need to get caught in a tight spot. The compact design of our machines is perfect for confined construction sites, such as road building applications. Loads can be clamped easily between the dipper and the boom. LOADING AND UNLOADING TRUCKS TRENCHING/DRAINAGE WORK The driver can get close to the truck or even lean the boom against the side of the loading skip or trailer without damaging the cylinder, significantly increasing productivity. Our Knickmatick boom system allows an operator to drive parallel to a trench or drain while working on it without turning the superstructure. 4

SPACE-CONSTRAINED SITES TWIN DRIVE VERSION Our adjustable Knickmatik boom system allows excavation directly alongside walls. Fitted with a diesel and electric engine. Perfectly suited for use in city centre areas that are sensitive to noise and in areas that require zero or reduced exhaust emissions. LANDSCAPING CUTTING, DRILLING AND HAMMERING OPERATIONS Our wide selection of attachments and the short and zero tail designs allow you to adapt to challenging work or job sites. Large reserves of hydraulic oil in the auxiliary hydraulic circuit mean the excavator can be controlled precisely at all times and cutters, drills and hammers can be operated productively. 5

6 TEREX MINI EXCAVATORS DESIGNED FOR VERSATILE PRODUCTIVITY TOPS (Tip Over Protective Structure) and FOPS (Falling Object Protective Structure) certified cab for operator safety. Comfortable, ergonomic 2-door cab is rubber-mounted (on most models) to absorb vibration and noise. Conventional, short-tail or zero-tail swing design. Auto idling system helps improve fuel economy while lowering engine noise when the excavator is not carrying a load or in use. Two gear drive motor with automatic speed changes for agile movement on site. Adjustable undercarriage on models up to 2 tonnes to adapt to jobsite requirements and conditions, such as added stability for high lift operation or easy manoeuvring around confined spaces. 6

7 Load-sensing hydraulics for high productivity. End-position cushioning on all lifting frame cylinders reduces wear and provides smooth operation. Auxiliary hydraulic circuit for attachments (e.g. hydraulic hammers) and pressureless return line, both as standard. Quick-coupler system available as an option, for rapid, simple tool changeover. Terex fingertip control for fast and precise work with attachments. Adjustable Knickmatik boom system allows the excavator to work right alongside walls, or parallel to its own chassis. Rounded corners of the uppercarriage means it does not protrude beyond the track width during turning. Contoured dozer blade design for efficient material flow. 8 BOOM SYSTEM DESIGNED FOR PRODUCTIVITY A machine is only as good as its parts - and the parts in our mini excavators are designed for productivity. A cleverly positioned boom, top-mounted neck cylinder and end-position cushioning on hydraulic cylinders combine perfectly to deliver a hard working and efficient machine to help you get the job done. KNICKMATIK SOLUTION FOR SPACE-CONSTRAINED SITES With our off-set boom design and Knickmatik boom solution, you can perform tasks within the most confined construction sites. The Knickmatik cylinder is purposely positioned to protect against damage from collisions. The off-set boom can move to either side at full digging depth allowing you to work directly alongside walls, hedges or embankments. The total angle of articulation is an impressive 120. An unbeatable duo: The Terex Knickmatik boom system and zero tail swing design. Thanks to the off-set boom and the zero tail swing concept, confined construction sites are becoming more accessible. Our mini excavators let you work across the machine s entire track width on both sides, without repositioning the machine... EXTENDED BUCKET ARM The standard reach and digging depth of our mini excavators are designed to handle most situations. However, if a situation calls for longer reach or deeper digging depth, then opt for our extended bucket arm, which is available as an option. SMART LOADING OPERATIONS Compared to bottom-mounted cylinders, our top-mounted neck cylinders are designed to provide additional clearance for the operator to load large, high-walled trucks and containers while protecting them from damage. SMOOTH OPERATION End-position cushioning on hydraulic cylinders reduces vibrations and allows the operator to work comfortably. 11 COST-EFFECTIVENESS POWER WHERE IT S NEEDED When you invest in a machine, you want it to be efficient. The hydraulics on our mini excavators are as efficient as they come. LOAD-INDEPENDENT FLOW DISTRIBUTION (LUDV) The proportional flow rate distribution provides increased comfort when controlling the machine. The available flow is proportionally distributed to provide hydraulic power when and where it is needed. The system thereby simplifies handling of the machine considerably, as it obeys the driver s commands without compromise. Advantages of the LUDV hydraulic system: All functions can be controlled simultaneously and independently from one another High pivoting speed at low motor speed Precise control of all functions at every motor speed, independent of load, to maintain a consistent level of productivity The load sensing hydraulics allow precise metering of hydraulic oil, resulting in great efficiency Reduces fuel consumption. What this means for you: Increased precision when working with loads. Precise control through a tuned hydraulic system. 13 UNDERCARRIAGE GOOD FOUNDATION Foundations need to be solid. Our chassis, tracks and blade are carefully designed to give you comfort, productivity and reliability. TRACKS All our mini excavators come equipped with broad rubber tracks which provide excellent traction and low ground pressure. The tread pattern is designed to provide a large surface area for excellent ground contact and to improve ride comfort. Optional steel chains are available for special applications. DIFFERENT TRACK VARIANTS Depending on the terrain and application: Rubber tracks long pitch track pattern for soft surfaces, e.g. sand. short pitch track pattern for hard surfaces, e.g. asphalt. Standard steel track robust on rough terrain. Wide steel track reduces ground pressure when working on soft sub-surfaces. The Roadliner combi combines the advantages of both steel and rubber tracks. To help manage costs, only the rubber shoe on the steel tracks needs replacing when worn, not the whole track, as is the case with rubber tracks. ADJUSTABLE CHASSIS AND AUTO IDLING SYSTEM FLEXIBILITY AND FUEL ECONOMY Excavators up to 2 tonnes are fitted with an adjustable crawler undercarriage which can be extended or retracted to two different widths to adapt to jobsite requirements. The auto idling system allows the engine to go into idle rpm when not in use for several seconds reducing emissions, saving fuel and reducing noise. The machine immediately returns to the previous setting when the operator touches the controls. DOZER BLADE Excellent flow of material from the clearing gear when levelling thanks to the rounded countours of the dozer blade. Floating position for efficient levelling. Using the blade extension allows the dozer blade to be easily adjusted in line with track width (dependent on model). What this means for you: Lower operating costs thanks to low maintenance crawler unit with idler suspension and hydraulic track tensioning. The travel motor and gearbox are securely protected against damage. You can choose the right type of crawler track for the job, whatever your application. 13

14 OPERATING COMFORT EVERYTHING S UNDER CONTROL Sit back, stretch your legs and enjoy the excellent view of the job site from the roomy cab of the Terex mini excavator. Our ergonomically-designed cab has instruments and controls that are positioned in just the right spot to make operation easier for you. The rubber-mounted cab absorbs vibration, making the drive less bumpy, and allows you to work in a quieter environment. A wide selection of driver seats are also available. OPTION OF OPERATOR S CAB OR CANOPY All mini excavators are available with a canopy. The cab can be removed completely, with all functions fully maintained. On the Terex TC10 micro-excavator, you can even choose between a standard 2 post version (TOPS and FOPS certified) or an optional 4-post canopy (ROPS and FOPS certified). TEREX FINGERTIP CONTROL With Terex fingertip control, the electro-proportional control works simply by using a roller on the joystick. From the cab, the driver can precisely control the oil flow from zero to full, which is ideal when operating attachments such as clamshell, swing bucket and roadsweepers. Additional proportional control circuit for work attachments (standard) activated through Terex fingertip control with a roller on the right-hand joystick (optional) or foot pedal. Additional proportional control circuit II (optional) activated via Terex fingertip control with a roller on the left-hand joystick. What this means for you: Choose between a cab or canopy. One of our machines can work in many industry sectors performing a variety of tasks thanks to our quick-coupler system and range of attachments, which can be quickly fastened and removed. The hydraulic quick coupler system allows the driver to change tools (standard buckets, ditch cleaning buckets, etc.) without leaving the cab. Additional advantages The hydraulic circuit for a breaker attachment comes equipped as standard. The quick-attach system can be combined with a bucket with ejector attachment. 18 SERVICE QUICK AND EASY Easy access, enduring quality and expert positioning of key components help make our mini excavators quick and easy to service and maintain. A well-placed top-mounted cylinder, tiltable cab, and special link bearings on cylinders are just some of the features that help extend the life of our machines. TOP-MOUNTED CYLINDERS he design and location of the top-mounted cylinders protects the cylinders against damage during the loading and transporting of materials. Loads can be clamped between the dipper and boom. Special link bearings on the cylinders protect bushings while bolts reduce friction, which helps reduce wear and makes repair easier. QUICK ACCESS The one-piece bonnet can be easily opened and lifted without tools, making the starter, generator, battery, injection pump and fuel and air filters easily accessible. What this means for you: Easy-to-access hydraulic components thanks to removable cab. All cylinders include end-position cushioning for anti-vibration operations. Service hood can be removed without tools, making the control valve easy to access. 18

19 MICRO-EXCAVATORS SMALL BUT POWERFUL THE PERFECT FIT At only 760 mm wide, the new Terex TC10 zero-tail swing micro-excavator is narrow enough to fit through doorways. When equipped with the standard or the foldable 2-column TOPS/ FOPS canopy, the TC10 can easily fit through low passageways. These features allow the micro-excavator to access areas where construction machinery can t normally go such as building interiors for demolition work or in crowded landscapes for horticulture work. What this means for you: Narrow design allows access through doorways and operation in space confined areas. Low operating weight of just 1,000 kg. Excellent lifting and breakout forces. Productive in tight spaces, such as building construction, civil engineering, landscaping and horticulture, construction sites in residential areas, demolition and indoor work. 19
