Behind the new Veto FX loader range you will discover a great deal of hard development work derived from a close dialogue with farmers. Benefiting the user is our priority. We have therefore focused on the tractor s properties and created new front loader technology with just one goal in our sights - the whole picture. ALMOST EVERYTHING in the Veto FX is new, and everything is well thought-out. The front loader beam and pins have been increased in size, giving you greater power during critical lifting operations. Veto FX has large working angles, enabling the implements to be used to the full. Faster implement changes and faster connection and disconnection of the loader are factors that simplify the day-to-day work. THE NEW VETO FX delivers quality on every front, from superb manouverability, to excellent visibility and the simplest tractor servicing possible. The trend is for agriculture to become more demanding and the tractors ever larger. As a farmer you are entitled to modern loader technology that is one step ahead. 3 FX 5900 Advantage Fördel Veto! Veto! 5 6 : Does it have an equal? Is there an equally durable system for large tractors, long front loaders, large lifting capacity and really wide implements? The subframes have all been designed with larger dimensions, and the front loader is now secured with a locking pin with a 0 % larger diameter. The distance between the load-bearing point and the pivot point for the loader beam is very short. In addition, the surfaces where the bearing box meets the subframe have been precisionmachined and extended. These improvements guarantee a safe and functional subframe system between tractor and front loader. Quite simply, you gain access to a sound overall product that maximises the potential for working with precision, without wear and tear. : Simple tractor service Veto s subframes have a vertical design. Connection also takes place vertically. The reason is obvious. Modern tractors with versatile service options should be supported by a functional subframe and locking system that do not take up unnecessary space. : Excellent driving properties With modern tractors it is easy to manoeuvre in difficult terrain. Solutions that do not restrict the front wheels movements are therefore best for the tractor. Vertical subframes and carefully designed front loader fixing points provide more space for large wheels and mudguards. This allows you to get the maximum turning radius. : Newly developed cross tubes The curved cross tube is a new design feature that provides more room for both front weights and front linkages. The cross tube is also located towards the front of the front loader. This means that large front loaders can be installed further back on the tractor, enabling the weight distribution and stability to be improved. It also means that the machine as a whole is shorter and the driving properties more convenient. The forward location of the cross tube also ensures that it does not obscure the tractor s headlights. 5: For better control From the driver s seat it is easy to follow the implement s movements via the new position indicator. It is short and compact, and has three positions that can be adapted for different implements according to individual needs. The low position reduces the risk of damage to the indicator. 6: Free surfaces The hydraulics are concealed inside the beam. The driver sees only clean surfaces, without pipes and hoses obscuring his vision. In addition, the front loader and its subframes are the optimum width. That s the idea behind the design of the new Veto loaders. They have better capacity and the controls are ergonomically designed for your comfort. You will quickly appreciate that you have realised great value for your investment. Advantage Veto! ERGODRIVE or ELECTRODRIVE operate the loader simply and comfortably. FX Drive shock absorber reduces the shock loads which the driver feels when performing heavy loader operations, or when driving over uneven ground with the loader fitted. FX Drive also reduces stress and wear on the tractor and loader components such as chassis, axles, subframe and bearings. THE VETO LOADERS ATTACHMENT SYSTEM provides optimum strength, implement angles and ram geometry which all combine to enhance the available hydraulic power. The through spear implement rams obviate the need for dump valves and the double bearing design greatly increases ram life. SUCH RELIABLE PERFORMANCE shows that your Veto loader has been built to the most exacting standards at all stages of manufacture. You will gradually notice the important, but not always obvious features, such as the replaceable triple layer bushes (which reduce lubrication requirements). The unique alloy steel construction makes the loader arms extremely light while providing excellent torsional strength combined with low bending characteristics. 5 & : FX Drive extra safe and comfortable! Everyone who has invested in a new Veto will really appreciate FX Drive, a further improved shock absorber. Protected location inside the powerful, curved cross tube. No spillage from the bucket and no damage to wrapped bales Good shock absorbing increases the tractor s potential, at the same time as reducing the loads on subframes, tractor subframe, axles, tyres and rims. Above all, however, it protects the driver s body during hard driving. Equipped with rotary control for Off and On Extra equipment: electrical connection and disconnection from the cab. The loader can rapidly be switched from full shock absorbing on the ground to no shock absorbing when precision is required for high-level stacking With just one hose and via the new FX Compact Valve, FX Drive is connected to both sides of the lifting cylinders. This achieves shock absorbing in both directions. An extra safety measure - the front loader beam cannot drop and cause damage, as FX Drive can only be switched on if the implement is on the ground. : Optimum angle, irrespective of the task Large implement angles make it possible to work with full load and with all possible materials. However, the design of the implement is also important, so that the correct filling and dumping angle can be achieved, what ever the task. When the implement is replaced, the optimum working angle is automatically achieved. : Changing implements has never been easier Incredibly good visibility from the driver s seat and solid implement locking are Veto s signature. Veto s new implement tool carrier will not disappoint anyone - on the contrary, the tool carrier can now be turned all the way down so that the implement hook can be seen directly from the driver s seat. Add to this a broad front loader beam, which offers good visibility between the front loader and the front of the tractor - and the end result is complete control when changing the implement. It has to be seen to be believed! 5: Ergonomic connection Inside the implement tool carrier, behind a protective plate, is the robust mechanical implement lock. There is no risk of either handles or locking pins being damaged in the event of a collision. If the loader is equipped with the rd function, the quick-couplings have a protected and easily accessible location behind the tool carrier. This means that connecting the implement is performed from a single position on the left side and at a comfortable height. Good for the body, efficient for the work.

5 FX 5900 : A central new feature The new FX Compact Valve symbolises Veto. This is a very logical solution, compared to the multitude of hydraulic solutions currently available. Instead of building up several valve plates and adding more hoses and couplings, with an increased risk of pressure loss and leakage, everything is gathered into a single unit - FX Compact Valve - which has been designed to withstand the considerable hydraulic pressures and large volumes of oil found in modern tractors. The tractor s hydraulic oil flows directly to the FX Compact Valve, which distributes the oil at an even pressure to the relevant lifting and implement cylinders. This means that the same pressure is delivered simultaneously to both sides of the loader helping it to move smoothly without any lopsided effect. Veto focuses on these same properties. See the similarities! Where are the hydraulic components? The tractor is designed to give the best possible visibility. 6 Safe and quick When the tractor delivers more strength, Veto does the same. If farmers want to work faster, our loaders make sure that they can. Veto focuses on solutions that make operations easier and with less stress. Advantage Veto! 5 : The strain is spread downwards. Please notice how the strain is spread downwards into the subframe. The strain from heavily loaded implements pass through the subframe into the tractor body. The short distance between the upper part of the subframe and the pivot of the loader beam provides a further increase of the strength. : Correctly positioned valve Once the front loader is connected, you want to get started, not have to wait and tamper with things. The tractor s hydraulics are connected directly to Veto s hydraulic valve. The position of this valve means that it does not become soiled by dirt etc. Also: The valve for ElectroDrive CDC (optional extra) is supplied with an accumulator in order to ensure troublefree operation, constant pressure and simpler connection of the quick-couplings. : Bearing box with large contact surfaces As Veto has a powerfully dimensioned front loader, which will be subjected to extreme forces, we have developed an entirely new bearing box. This can absorb and stabilise these stresses. A careful choice of materials is combined with large contact surfaces, high precision, profile extrusions and a reinforced box construction. We have also succeeded in achieving a compact design that provides more room for front wheels and mudguards. : Quick connection FX Lock stands for simple, secure locking. When the front loader is put onto the subframe, the bearing box guides itself into position. All that has to be done is to push in the locking pin, pull out the locking button and turn the handle in behind the locking button. To disconnect, the button is pulled out, the handle turned and the locking pin pulled out. The handle can then be hung on the locking button, so that it is always available. 5: Ready for most things FX Lock is a typical Veto creation. The short, robust locking pin has a diameter of 0 mm and meets all the needs of new tractors, large front loaders and heavy implements. 6

7 FX : Perfect control Cable-controlled ErgoDrive helps the driver to operate the loader s lifting and lowering movements, as well as the implement s crowding and dumping movements. These functions can be combined for many tasks, increasing efficiency. For the best ergonomic working position, ErgoDrive can be adjusted and positioned in the cab according to your wishes. It is equipped with two push-button switches for rd and th function. Using a special safety function, the lever can be locked to prevent unwanted front loader movements. 7: More powerful pins Remember that all loads to which a front loader is subjected must be taken up by the pins. We have therefore developed new pins for the Veto FX. Many of the pins are 5 % larger. The rotary locks have also been strengthened. In order to further reduce wear and axial play, as well as to keep the lubrication in the right place and the dirt out, the pins are provided with a special tensioning device with a compact disc and rubber ring. Effectively the pins are fixed and sealed at both ends. In addition, all the pins are rustproof (electro-galvanised). Lubrication is normally performed easily from the outside of the front loader. 8: Reinforced cylinders With regard to materials, design and manufacture, you could not want anything else - Veto cylinders are modern all the way through. The stepped cylinder transitions are reinforced so that the loads can be absorbed and distributed evenly. Veto s parallel linkage loaders have implement cylinders with through piston rods which give a higher emptying speed. In addition, the piston rods are reinforced at three points, making any type of quick-emptying valve unnecessary. Double bearings contribute to the longer service life of the cylinders. 9: Strong support legs A simple thing like support legs should not prevent a smooth flow of work. We are always aiming to achieve safer solutions. The slender, profile-pressed, more powerful support legs are well integrated with the front loader and are always easily accessible when the front loader is to be parked. The locking system makes it easy to find the correct height. A broad, articulated foot provides a larger contact surface. No loose components to be lost! 0: U-profil with many strengths U-profiles are an established Veto speciality. Veto FX stands for increased torsional strength and flexibility, as well as excellent steel quality. The beam is light and the forces are distributed better through the entire construction. The 70 mm wide profile comprises two U-profiles lying one inside the other. The welded joints face in towards the tractor, giving a smooth, continuous surface that does not collect dirt. All the corners and edges on the profile-pressed plate halfway along the arm are also attractively rounded off. 7

8 Advantage Veto! Optional extras. 5 6 : Depressurised quick-couplings The rd function is integrated in the FX Compact Valve. The th function can also easily be connected. All valves and cables are well protected under a panel. Through carefully positioned hoses, the quick-couplings are routed to the left side of the tool carrier, ensuring a more comfortable working position. Thanks to a new design, the quick-couplings are also depressurised, further simplifying your work. : A good investment FX Drive shock absorbers protect both drivers and their loads. When driving on uneven terrain, the tractor is more comfortable and offers better manouverability. A very sensible optional extra that also reduces unwelcome strains on the vital parts of the tractor (read more on page ). : Hydro Quick/Multi Doc The four hydraulic hoses are connected in no time at all. Hydro Quick/Multi Doc ensures that problems such as incorrect connection, oil leaks or overpressure in the hoses never arise. The risk of dirt in the tractor s hydraulics and transmission is also avoided thanks to the smooth connectors that are easy to clean. : Selecto Fix/Multi Doc A very useful aid when the front loader is fitted with either a rd or a th function. Anyone who has tried to connect a hydraulic implement that has stood in the sun all day will testify to this. With one simple operation, the implement hydraulics are connected without difficulty, even under pressure. Work can therefore start within seconds. Like Hydro Quick/Multi Doc, Selecto Fix/Multi Doc has smooth connectors that protect the tractor against dirt. 5: Q Lock - new implement locking A tractor driver climbs up to and down from the cab several times a day. With the new Q Lock (hydraulic implement locking), the number of times the driver has to climb in and out is dramatically reduced. Connection and disconnection take place simply from the driver s seat. Indicators on the tool carrier show when the implement is locked. Q Lock is connected by using the same rd function in a different way. Under the cross tube, in a protected location, a valve for switching this on and off can also be found, built together with the FX Compact Valve. This can be activated from inside the cab, which means that the driver controls the flow of oil between Q Lock and rd function. 6: ElectroDrive CDC Improve comfort and efficiency by installing ElectroDrive CDC in the tractor s cab. The electrical and proportionally functioning CDC (Canbus Digital Control) provides front loader operation with fingertip control, right out to the far end of the implement. If the front loader is equipped with hydraulic implement locking, rd and th function, or electrical connection and disconnection of FX Drive, these functions can also be handled using the compact joystick. In the case of more demanding applications, a slow function can be activated. ElectroDrive CDC can also be programmed for specific tasks, such as when handling bales. The implement is then opened and closed using the joystick s sideways movements. Similarly, individual needs for the tractor s hydraulics can be programmed. As ElectroDrive CDC can be installed together with an adjustable armrest, the working position can be continually regulated in order to avoid stresses on the operator s shoulders, neck and wrists. 8
