2 Bulky Goods Clean Up visit northernbeaches.nsw.gov.au for your collection details Please note: Make sure nails are not protruding from items Remove doors from fridges and furniture for safety reasons Maximum amount is 3 cubic metres, similar to a small box trailer Large items must be disassembled so they can be loaded by two people TVs & computers Building / renovation material Car parts, tyres & batteries Gas bottles & extinguishers 1m 1m Place all metal items in a separate pile for recycling Items only to be placed out two days prior to collection date Vegetation Cardboard & paper Windows / glass / mirrors 3m Mackerel Beach residents Place materials on the grassed area at the southern side of the public wharf. Prior to the collection, the waste contractor will install a temporary barrier so that metals can be placed separately from other bulky goods items. Other Western Foreshore residents Place materials at the public wharves. Residents with a private wharf waste service and year round tidal access can place their materials on their wharf / jetty / pontoon.

5 Private wharf or jetty If your property has year round tidal access and you would like a bin and hoop stand installed on your private wharf / jetty please contact Council on This is a free service for garbage collection only. Garbage, Paper and Container Recycling
6 Illegal Dumping No vegetation or prohibited materials to be placed at public or private wharves. Fines for illegal dumping will apply. Dumped material pollutes the environment and can harm wildlife and native flora. If you see someone dumping material in our reserves, wharves or bushland areas, please take note of any registration details, description of the vehicle/vessel, person, date and time, then report it to Council. Any dumped material should be reported (whether the person responsible is known or not) so that Council can take action and investigate the matter. Did you know that you can be fined or prosecuted for transporting waste to a place that cannot legally accept it? Legal waste facilities are Kimbriki Resource Recovery Centre at Terrey Hills kimbriki.com.au and SITA at Belrose sita.com.au Public Wharf Bins Public wharf garbage bins are provided for the disposal of domestic garbage waste only. Please do not dispose of construction waste, chemical waste or garden organic waste in the garbage bins provided on the public wharves. Building materials, gas bottles, car / boat parts, motor oil, paint, computer and batteries can be taken to either Kimbriki or Belrose Resource Recovery Centres. See page 2 of this waste calendar to learn where to dispose of these products. Onsite household composting is recommended for garden organics. Chemical waste can be disposed of in the Household Chemical Cleanouts. Report Illegal Dumping - on the spot fines up to $4,000 If you see someone dumping material please take note of the registration, description of vehicle and person, date and time and report to Council. Call or council@northernbeaches.nsw.gov.au
7 Where to take computers, computer peripherals and TVs for free recycling Belrose Resource Recovery Centre, Crozier Rd, Harvey Norman warehouse at Balgowlah and Kimbriki. Officeworks accept up to five computers and computer equipment only. What to do with household chemicals For Chemical Clean Out collection dates, or for further information call the Clean Out Info Hotline on , visit cleanout.com.au or Paint and paint-related products Motor oils, fuels and fluids What to do with food waste Place in a compost bin or wormfarm. To learn more attend a free workshop at Kimbriki Eco House & Garden and receive a voucher to purchase a compost bin / worm farm. Food waste in landfill produces greenhouse gas.
