The Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) is a prime example. Its compact and lightweight design with an expanded gear ratio allows for powerful acceleration and great fuel effi ciency. Forget fi ve, six or seven gears, this unique stepless transmission delivers an almost infi nite number of gear ratios. In doing so it eliminates the shift shock between gear changes traditionally associated with automatic transmissions.
