1 INTRODUCTION Fluid Pumps was established in 1991 as an Importer for various types of Pumps. It was not long before we realised that Imported Products do not stand up to the challenges and demands of our conditions. Prior to this, being in the Manufacturing Sector, gave us the knowledge and know how to design and produce products suited for our conditions. We are proud to make it public that we have since obtained world wide Patent Rights on some of our inventions, which is an indication that it is a World First.

3 MANUFACTURED PRODUCTS Mining Sector VSC - Fluid Twister. Large range of Vertical Spindle Pumps designed to transfer slurry containing solids. Available with Ex motors Patented. SC - Submersible. Sludge Pump with World First design features. Capable of handling slurry containing solids. Ex approved Patented. DW - Dewatering Pump. Design features to optimise portability without compromising reliability. No Rubber, all Metal. Ex approved Patented. BD - Belt Driven Pump. Designed to transfer nuisance water where no electricity is available, to sumps or dams underground. Patented. Industry Sump Pump - With built in Level Control. Degritting Pump - Fly Ash, Dredging. Quenching Pump - Heat Treatment Plants. Waste Water VX-Range of pumps was designed to face raw unscreened sewage like nowhere else in the world. Pumps are equipped with Vortex Impellers with large solid passing 65mm, 80mm, 100mm, 125mm and 150mm. World First Features come up in design and maintenance. Affordability was taken into consideration. Large number of parts are interchangeable amongst the models, reducing spare part costs and stock quantities. Patented Under- and Top Water Quick Connector (Duckfoot Bend) equipped with "no blow-out" seal combined with blow off prevention allows for 100% sealing between the pump slide shoe and quick connector, under high pressure conditions! Special material Wet End allows for inlet works degritting which contain sandy water and stringy materials. SC-Range of Submersible Pumps is equipped with a centrifugal screw impeller. This option is largely used in sludge transfer where minimum fibres are present. It is an excellent solids handling impeller. High efficiency is a cost saver in our forever demanding power consumption. Submersible Mixer Design features never been implemented in any submersible mixer in the world wide market before. This also allows for World Patent Rights. Mixer available in PM - Reduction Type where output speed can be altered to suit condition or application. DD - Direct Drive where the output speed is determined by the motor poles. In both models output propellers can be altered to suit demand! Both mixer models are equipped with slide shoe to fit 100mm x 100mm slide columns. Fluid Jet and Fluid Aerator The Fluid Jet incorporates the SC- Submersible Pump, where mixing of product to keep solids and sludge in suspension, takes place using the products as transfer medium. Very popular at small plants. The AR-Injector allows mixing and aeration at the same time. Highly efficient when new non-oxygenated product is mixed into contact with new aerated product. Excellent for small water purification plants. Fluid Aerator incorporates the SC-Submersible Pump in applications where oxygen is "mixed" into product using the product as transfer medium.

4 STOCK For our manufactured products we carry large stock volumes, based on 4 stages: 1.Ex Stock products, already assembled and tested. 2.Machined and inspected parts in store, ready for assembly or as spare part. 3.Raw, un-machined castings, ready to be put in production, subject to stage 2 stock level. 4.Pattern equipment at Fluid Foundry, ready for production line, subject to stage 3 stock level.

5 PRODUCTION PHASE All pump parts are machined in-house to approved product drawings. High standards are maintained, as a S.A.B.S. approved Flameproof equipment manufacturer and repairer. Pumps, Motors and Panels. Quality is our first priority.

6 SERVICE Service / Repairs are done in our fully equipped workshop to the same impeccable standards as for our new equipment. Fully equipped Test facility capable up to 250 ℓ/sec (900m³/h).

7 SCOPE OF WORK Our Fabrication department manufactures Base Plates, Pump Transport Trolleys, Skids, Pump Station Pipe Work and Mixer Divots to specifications laid down by Customer or Consulting Engineer. Great emphasis is placed on Quality Control during Manufacturing stages.

8 QUALITY CONTROL Quality control is thoroughly done throughout the process. Starting with the type and grade of sand we purchase for our sand moulding at the foundry, up until the final product is painted after test. MARKETING Our strategy is to "Provide our Products through Problem Solving", with the aim to provide client satisfaction and assistance at all times, and to provide the best product available for specified applications. 9 NEW DEVELOPMENTS We are currently enlarging the foundry's capability to melt 316 Stainless Steel and Hasteloy C material to enable us to meet clients requirements.
