Ok this is what we found out, on the way to get the pinion seal cuz i noticed it was dripping the drive shaft fell out. When we took the seal out so I could replace it the nut holding the yoke in the differential was off. So I don't know if the mechanic that changed my pinion bearing didn't tighten it all the way or if something else is wrong in there that made it come loose? Once we changed the seal and put the yoke and nut back on there and tightened it up there was no play in it at all. We bolted the drive shaft back up, filled the differential with fluid and non slip additive then drove it. It seems to be fine now but I'm not sure if it is still whining a little bit or if I am just paranoid now because of it falling out. I'm not sure whether to take it back to the mechanic that did the pinion bearing and have him check them out or just let it be? I believe the whining noise was there because it wasn't tight but I'm not 100% sure of that either. I have a 94 Ram WD w/ about 150K miles on it. Replaced the transmission about five years ago. There is a high pitched whine at 55 mph and above when the truck shifts into overdrive. If I take my read more. my problem is this, on my odometer it says " no bus" and all my gauges go out, my wipers stop working and there is no ac, no high beam. If I turn the key almost off then everything except the speedometer comes back. I have replaced the ignition switch, cleaned as many ground wires as I could find. The fuses don't look blown. I pulled the breaker for the ecm while the truck was on and it shut off. I don't have any
