15 Engine: Supercharging Waste Gate Turbosupercharger with intercooler The Turbine, moved by the exhaust pipe, is fitted with an electronically controlled Wastegate valve. The engine ECU unit controlling the wastegate valve at idle rpm and so the exhaust gas inside the turbine housing adjust the supercharger pressure. 16 Engine: Throttle Valve Throttle Valve drive-by-wire torque based The throttle valve is managed by a step-step electric engine activated by the ECU on the basis of a signal received by a potentiometer connected to accelerator pedal. Immediate answer of all the engine control system to the request of the driver (acting on accelerator is activated directly the ECU, without cable or mechanical command) Direct link between engine and all onboard system that require torque variation as cruise control or PTO. 26 Consumption: introduction The consumption data shown in the following chart come from real tests carried out by Iveco Testing using definite cycles. These values are function of the definite environmental conditions and vehicle configuration. Different wheelbase, G.V.W., rear axle ratio, van height and especially driver s way of driving could influence consumption and therefore autonomy. Consumption data you find in the following charts are to be taken as a reference only in order to give ranges of autonomy and highlight the advantages in running cost of CNG compared to Diesel. Note: All the values are referred to vehicle loaded at maximum G.V.W. 40C, 50C, 65C model are limited at 90 km/h.
