In accordance with the SIC27, we will carry out and link together the Group s business activities through science-based methodologies and innovative ideas. In doing so, we aspire to evolve into a company that continues to grow and create value over the next decade through to our 200th anniversary and beyond. 10 Business Segments and Core Operating Companies The Toyo Ink Group's business consists of four segments: the Colorants & Functional Materials Business, the Polymers & Coatings Business, the Packaging Materials Business, and the Printing & Information Business. Our business activities are conducted mainly by three core operating companies: Toyocolor Co., Ltd., Toyochem Co., Ltd. and Toyo Ink Co., Ltd. Colorants & Functional Materials Core Operating Company: Toyocolor Co., Ltd. The origin of the Toyo Ink Group, a world leader in colorants, lies in our organic pigment synthesis technology. In addition, the core nano-dispersion technology of the Colorants and Functional Materials segment has been refined over a century of ink and coating manufacturing experience. This technology has gone beyond traditional color applications and has evolved into such advanced fields as color filter pastes for LCDs, color resist inks, carbon nanotubes, among many others.
