2 Our Products Sharpsafe is the world s first purpose designed disposable plastic sharps container. In 1982 Sharpsafe was awarded the Design Council Award for excellence in design. Since then Sharpsafe has consistently led the health industry in improving safety standards of disposable sharps containers. Our products are safer, easier to use and more cost efficient. Sharpsafe containers allows users to dispose of waste safely and conveniently with one hand whilst protecting users from accidental spillage. They are made from virgin polypropylene to specifications that resist puncture, even after autoclave cycles. Our containers have been made to conform with Australian Standards AS to ensure handling integrity, resistance to penetration, impact resistance and toppling resistance. 9 Sharpsafe Brackets, Stands & Trays Brackets > Wall brackets are secured to the wall by two screws (provided). The metal support drops down against the wall when container is not fitted. > Designed for small containers, wall clip brackets are easy to fit and use with the handle of the container hooking onto the bracket. Stands > Stands for Sharpsafe containers ensure that the containers can be safely and securely locate optimal position for use > Enhance the stability of Sharpsafe containers to prevent accidental spillage or tipping Trays > The Sharpsafe Tray forms an important part of the Sharpsafe Near Patient Sharps Disposal System (NPSD ) and has been designed to provide a large, easy to clean procedure tray. > The Sharpsafe Tray has been designed to accommodate the one, two or three l itre Sharpsafe containers

10 Assembly, Use & Closure 1. Assembly 2. Temporary Close Place the base of the container on a firm surface, then attach the lid over the base and firmly apply pressure to each corner so that it engages with a click. Ensure temporary closure is engaged when the container is not is use. 3. Re-Open 4. Final Closure Push tab up to release lid from temporary closure. Place the container onto suitable surfae to lock the Sharpsafe container ready for disposal.
