With no heat exchanger, 100% of the energy is transferred to the air stream, instead of up to 30% of the energy lost through flue or piping losses, as is the case for indirect fired units or boilers for glycol systems. Due to the simplicity of the direct-fired unit, the BMA series also offers the lowest capital investment over an indirect-fired unit or a glycol system.
