3 Essential tools for improving personal safety The demand for uninterrupted power supply is growing and it entails additional challenges for electricians They will frequently be performing installations or maintenance under live conditions LLE is an abbreviation of Live Line Equipment. This also applies when performing work on high voltage equipment, i.e. 380V, since the equipment is forgiving and allow for small mistakes without causing electrical damage. 4 Personal safety equipment Insulating glove CLY We are one of a handful of suppliers that offer reinforced insulating gloves of this type. This manufacturing process produces an insulating glove with excellent properties: Better voltage resistance Better arc flash protection (25 cal/cm 2 vs. 5-8 cal/cm 2 for latex gloves) Better comfort Thanks to this, the CLY glove is thinner, more flexible and much more comfortable to work with than latex gloves. We know that the energy from an arc flash increases with proximity. That means that the gloves are subjected to an order of magnitude higher exposure compared to clothes and face shields. The CLY glove in combination with the goatskin glove on the next page provides at least 53 cal/cm 2 against Arc Flash. Accessories: Insulated arm protection in order to extend the ISO glove. The face shield has a unique feature enabling it to be opened in a position on top of the hard hat. The chin protection is heat resistant and stops particles from penetrating. The shield is manufactured with nano-technology to provide a better view without losing Arc Flash protection and can easily be replaced. The shield has ventilation funnels that prevents mist and provides cleaner air to breathe, without losing resistance to hot gases. The hinge of the shield has fittings for mounting lights.
