2 LH Installation Tighten following sequence (1-19) a little at a time, and evenly among bolts, repeating tightening sequence 2 or 3 times until specified torque is reached. RH Removal 2/9

3 RH Installation Tighten following sequence (1-17) a little at a time, and evenly among bolts, repeating tightening sequence 2 or 3 times until specified torque is reached. Cylinder Head Bolt (a) Head Bolt: 105 Nm (10.5 kg-m, 76.0 ft.lb) RH & LH Removal [A]: RH bank, [B] LH bank, 1. Hex Hole Bolt, 2. Timing Chain Side, 3. Flywheel Side Don't forget to remove 2 hex bolts shown in the figure. 3/9

4 (b) Hex Hole Bolt: 11 Nm (1.1 kg-m, 7.5 RH & LH Installation [A]: RH (No. 2) bank, [B] LH (No.1) bank, 1. Hex Hole Bolt, 2. Crankshaft Pulley Side, 3. Flywheel Side 4/9

5 Step 1. Tighten all bolts to 53 Nm (5.3 kg-m, 38.5 in numerical sequence shown in installation figure. Step 2. Tighten al bolts again to 84 Nm (8.4 kg-m, 61 in numerical sequence. Step 3. Loosen all bolts until tightening torque is reduced to "0", in reverse order of tightening. Step 4. Retighten all bolts to 53 Nm (5.3 kg-m, 38.5 in numerical sequence. Step 5. Retighten again to specified torque: Head bolts: (a) 105 Nm (10.5 kg-m, 76.0, (b) Hex Hole Bolt: 11 Nm (1.1kg-m, 7.5 ft.lb. 5/9

Loosen 8 mm (3.) thread diameter bolts first, then loosen 10 mm (2.) thread diameter bolts following the order shown in figure. (a) 8mm thread diameter 27 Nm (2.7 kg-m, 19.5 ft.lb. (b) 10 mm thread diameter 60 Nm (6.0 kg-m, 43.5 Installation 1. Lower Crankcase, 2. Bolt (10 mm thread dia.), 3. Bolt 8 mm thread dia.), 4. Long Bolt (8mm thread dia.) 7/9
