The performance principle of the Panamera and Panamera 4: The new 3.6-litre V6 naturally aspirated engine is efficient and sporty, delivering 220 kw (300 hp) and 400 Nm torque. The direct fuel injection technology (DFI) and VarioCam Plus supplied as standard ensure efficient combustion, a significant boost to performance and torque, and low fuel consumption for the performance. The new Panamera features a 6-gear transmission that transfers power to the rear axle. A 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) including auto start-stop function is also available. For rapid gear shifting without breaking traction, plus enhanced performance and driving comfort combined with lower fuel consumption. The power transmission of the new Panamera 4 uses the active all-wheel drive of Porsche Traction Managements (PTM), supplied as standard, and the 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) including auto startstop function also a standard feature. 5 The new 911 Turbo S The new 911 Turbo S. Efficiency demands performance. Charged. Perhaps the new 911 Turbo S is the epitome of a pioneering Porsche virtue: satisfaction is not an option, standstill is inconceivable. The 911 Turbo S models stand for pure performance expressed unmistakably in their driving performance. Packing the combination of Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) and Sport Chrono Package Turbo including dynamic engine bearings as standard features, the 911 Turbo S breaks through the 100-km/h barrier from a standing start in a mere 3.3 seconds - the best time ever achieved by a Porsche standard model. 0 to 200 km/h: 10.8 seconds. Top speed: 315 km/h. Driving dynamics were also enhanced, including the addition of Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) including mechanical rear axle differential. With modified valve control and engine management alignment raising maximum boost pressure by 0.2 to 1.2 bar, the 3.8-litre boxer drive system delivers 390 kw (530 hp) with variable turbine geometry between /min and /min. Maximum torque is an impressive 700 Nm between / min and /min. In other words, 30 hp and 50 Nm more than the 911 Turbo. But efficiency is always clearly in our sights. This energy is stored by a flywheel located next to the driver. Hybrid module How do these elements work together? The electric motors are situated directly on the front axle. Whenever the driver reduces speed or brakes, they switch to generator operation. The energy thus recovered powers a third electric motor integrated into the flywheel, which moves the rotor. 9 Porsche Classic Porsche Carrera Cup Asia 2009 This baby weighs in at only 750 kg. Porsche 935 Baby from Porsche Carrera Cup Asia - A Thrilling End to With the excitement building race upon race, the 2009 Porsche Carrera Cup Asia season culminated in its closest finish since 2005, with Team StarChase driver Christian Menzel emerging as the championship winner by just a single point. Porsche Type 935/2.0 Baby, 1977 The decision came in the spring of 1977: In future, Porsche planned to tackle its rivals in the smaller cc classes too. And so the ultra-light 935 was scheduled to take part in the two-litre class of the German Racing Championships. Specifications required a 1.4-litre turbo engine and approved total weight as near as possible to the mandatory minimum weight of 735 kg. After only three months of R&D, success: the champion Porsche 935 had metamorphosed into the small-scale Porsche Coupé, affectionately known as Baby at its birthplace, the Weissach Find out more on the Internet at: Development Centre. It was powered by an air-cooled six-cylinder turbo engine reduced to 1.4 litres cc and packing 380 hp. At a mere 750 kg, it was the lightest 911 that had ever existed. The first trial at Norisring racetrack was imminent, and time for optimum preparation was at a premium. Unfortunately, coordination problems resulted in racing driver Jacky Ickx having to drop out while in sixth place due to engine overheating. But only three weeks later Porsche came back with a bang. At Hockenheimring, Jacky Ickx achieved the best time in the training rounds and beat the secondplaced vehicle by 52 seconds. This enabled Porsche to demonstrate its competitive edge, even in the lower cc class (up to 2000 cc) that was so atypical of Porsche. After only two races, however, Baby was put to bed in the museum. Today, the Porsche 935 is on show in the Porsche Museum at Zuffenhausen. 10 Porsche Carrera Cup Asia 2010 Brilliant Line Up and Impressive Calendar Herald New Season With a record number of contestants slated to take part in the 2010 Porsche Carrera Cup Asia, expect to see a dazzling crop of talent battle it out as reigning, former and potential champions join new faces in what looks set to be a truly sensational eighth season. An exhilirating Porsche Weekend at the Beijing Goldenport Circuit, China Darryl was first to answer the challenge, with a brilliant victory in the penultimate round ahead of Tim and Rodolfo Avila of Asia Racing Team. But the race was not without drama, as Christian was penalized in the race for an overly aggressive move at the start, meaning that he finished fourth overall and was now only three points ahead of his closest rival Tim going in to the final race. The dramatic finale in Round 13 lived up to its promise, with Tim crossing the line first, only to have Christian finish right behind him and thereby clinch his first-ever Porsche Carrera Cup Asia title. Falling just For the non-professional Class B field, 2009 proved to be another exciting year with many hard-fought on-track battles. While it was Hong Kong s Philip Ma of Jacob & Co Racing who clinched the Class B title, Singaporean Melvin Choo of Corum ThunderAsia Racing applied constant pressure, finishing as runner-up to the title, with compatriot, Team PCS Racing s Yuey Tan in third place overall. With the champions crowned, the celebrations got underway and all involved were able to reflect on a fantastic season, one which certainly will not be forgotten. one point short of the title - Tim Sugden clinched a well-deserved runner-up position, with Darryl O Young rounding out the overall top three standings. Joining him in the Class A category for professional drivers is exciting youngster Rodolfo Avila of Macau, 4th overall in his debut season last year, who has recently been confirmed as the new Team Jebsen driver. Team Jebsen won the title twice, in 2006 and 2008, with Hong Kong driver Darryl O Young, and is keen to nurture the exciting new talent Avila. O Young is back with the series and will contest selected rounds along with a full season in the FIA World Touring Car Championship. For the remaining races, driving duties will be filled by LKM team mate Alan Siu Yuk Lung competing in Class B, while for the Shanghai opener, his brother Siu Tit Lung will take the wheel. Former Porsche Carrera Cup Australia champion, and runner-up in the Asian series in Singapore last year,

11 Porsche Carrera Cup Asia 2010 New Zealand s Craig Baird will contest his first full season in the region, competing with Team Porsche Club Singapore Racing. Hong Kong s Marchy Lee will also be joining Class A. Lee, who has also competed in single seaters and touring cars, finished 5th overall in 2008, his first full season in sportscar racing. Jeffrey Lee of Chinese Taipei is also back for a third Porsche Carrera Cup Asia season Class B Champion Philip Ma of Jacob & Co Racing will be back this season, competing for the first time in Class A. Ma has contested every season of the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia since its inception in 2003, and is one of Asia s most experienced drivers. The bumper entry in Class B sees the return of young Singaporean hotshot Yuey Tan, 3rd overall after his first full season with the series last year, competing with new team Wimobilize McElrea Racing. Upping the ante in the category, Team Kangshun s Ringo Chong and Team Porsche Club Singapore The new 911 GT3 Cup car 2009 Class B Champions, L-R: Philip Ma, Melvin Choo and Yuey Tan Racing s Mok Weng Sun are both entered in Class B this season. Popular Hong Kong driver Mak Hing Tak of OMAK Team returns, while Philip Briandet, who made his debut with the series for a one-off race in Malaysia last year, has entered for a full season. In addition to the familiar faces, the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia also welcomes a host of Class B newcomers this year. Racing for Dyna Ten Motorsport are Kenneth Lau and Michael Choi of Hong Kong. Lau has 20 years The PCCA will return for the 2010 season to the Marina Bay Street Circuit as a support race of the Formula One SingTel Singapore Grand Prix in September of motorsport experience while Team mate Choi has been racing for more than a decade. OpenRoad Racing is fielding three cars for brothers Marcel and Francis Tjia and Christian Chia, while brothers Wayne and John Shen are racing for Modena Motorsports. Hong Kong brothers Terence and Morris Ku look set to be sharing driving duties. The pair have competed in both sportscar and touring car series in Asia, and are entered with Team DAYCRAFT. Vietnam-based Frenchman Jean-Marc Merlin, a competitor in sprint and endurance races is entered by Team J2M Racing. Hong Kong driver Jacky Yeung is another newcomer, and began racing in 1995, as is US-based Canadian Shim Ching who makes his series debut with Asia Pacific Motorsports. Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car is nothing short of spectacular, and a great way to mark the true coming of age of the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia. The 11-round, six-meeting calendar sees the series support two rounds of the FIA Formula One World Championship, in Shanghai in April and the 2010 Porsche SC Global Carrera Cup Asia Singapore, as a support race of the Formula One SingTel Singapore Grand Prix in September. The race calendar also includes six races across China during the year, and 2 rounds over the Asian Festival of Speed weekend at the new F1 track in South Korea in August.
