2 History and concept At M Seals we specialize in seals for industrial use. We cover the whole spectrum from the finest precision seals to the largest heavy duty shaft seals and packings. Our products address the needs of customers that wish to have a broad range of products and solutions at hand. The company was founded in 1963 as Mogens Christensen, Ingeniør-& Handelsfirma A/S. We are undergoing a rapid period of development and we now have 5,000 m 2 of offices, lab, production and warehouses at our disposal. Our branch in Halmstad, Sweden, has grown significantly and our branch in China, has given us an entry point into this important market. In 2007 M Seals became a part of the Diploma PLC group. This has opened new possibilities for our company, e.g. the cooperation with the sister companies around the world. Since 2014, M Seals has been present on the UK market. Our branch M Seals NCL Ltd. has particular expertise in seals for the Aerospace, Defence and the Oil and gas industry. With the acquisition of our subsidiary Edco seals and supply Ltd. in Leicester in 2017, we are now able to serve the general industry in the middle and southern part of England as well. 2 The safe choice for seals and moulded parts used in hydraulics, pneumatics, precision engineering and food/medical industries. Knowledge At M Seals, we have developed extensive knowledge of seals and their applications, including their composition, lifetime and suitability for a specific job. The right choice of seals minimizes the risk of unexpected breakdowns. Our range of seals is wide allowing us to provide multiple solutions. M Seals range alone covers about 50,000 items, of which a large proportion is stocked. We often cooperate with customers in the design of special solutions. We have close relationship with many of the world s leading manufacturers of sealing systems and, in cooperation with us, they provide their knowledge and experience to our customers. Quality assurance M Seals have been working in accordance with ISO9000 Quality Management systems since 1996, currently ISO9001:2008. Following our growing involvement in the Automotive Industry, we are raising our management system to TS16949 level. A number of our suppliers are currently working with TS Our UK branch, M Seals NCL Ltd., as a distributor are working in accordance with BS EN 9120:2010/ ISO 9001:2008 Sanitary gaskets for pipe couplings food, pharma and chemical process industries, we stock a range of gaskets for most types of couplings like DS, DIN11851, SMS1149, ISO2853 as well as clamp-types like ISO2852, BS4825/3, ISO1127, DIN32676 and others. Most of them can be supplied in NBR, EPDM, FPM,, Silicone and Kalrez, all meeting the requirements of EU1935/2004 and FDA for use

3 Gasket material guide recommendations and limitations The below suitability and restrictions must be taken into consideration for products used in food and drug applications. The table is a general guidance on seal material selection. If any doubt, please contact our sales office. EPDM: FKM: SIL: NBR: : : (Envelope) KALREZ: Good resistance to alcohol, ketones, mineral acids and alkalis. Suited for CIP. Not suited with oils and hydrocarbons and fatty foods. Not recommended for milk fat concentrations higher than 8%. Temperature range from -40 С to +140 С. High resistance to most commonly used chemicals in food, dairy and pharmaceutical applications. Not suited in ketones, esters, hot concentrated caustic solutions or steam. Temperature range from -20 С to +200 С. Chemical resistant to most commonly used chemicals in food, dairy and pharmaceutical applications. Good resistance to oxidizing agents, alkali solutions, animal and vegetable fat. Not recommended in steam, strong acids and alkaline. Low mechanical properties. Temperature range from -60 С to +200 С. Resistance is good to oils, mineral fats and water. Not recommended for CIP. Temperature range -30 С to 100 С. Universal chemical resistance. Caution to be taken for cold flow and overtightening Temperature range from -100 С to +250 С. Universal chemical resistance. Composite gasket, outer shell and an inner FPM insert providing elasticity. Temperature range from -20 С to +200 С. Outstanding universal chemical resistance. Suitable for CIP, SIP and WFI Temperature range from -20 С to +250 С. 4 The clamp gaskets of the types like DIN32676, ISO2852, ISO1127 and MINI are designed so that if used correctly the gasket will be almost flush with the inner diameter of the coupling. In this way, no residues can build up and cause hygienic problems. Please follow the instructions for assembly from the coupling manufacturer like tightening torque, lubrication etc. A The coupling is correctly assembled and tightened. B The gasket size is wrong, or the gasket has been overtightened. C The gasket size is wrong, or the gasket is not tightened enough. 4
