Our Aerial duct is manufactured from HDPE materials and contains finely dispersed carbon black and antioxidants for UV and thermal protection. The coextruded SILICORE solid polymer lining creates a permanent pre-lubricated pathway for easy fiber optic or coaxial cable placement and upgrades. 15 Customer Service PLENUM (FIREJACKET ) & RISER RATED (DURATHANE ) CORRUGATED DUCT Plenum & Riser rated fire retardant corrugated duct are designed to protect existing cables and facilitate future cable installation or replacement. When tested to UL910, FIREJACKET & DURATHANE are low-smoke producing and fire resistant as defined by the National Fire Protection Association when rating cables as suitable for use in ducts, plenum & riser spaces. 18 Customer Service MICRODUCT OVERRIDE (12.7/10mm) There maybe applications where the MicroDuct will installed by hand in an Over-Ride application. As the MicroDuct will be hand pulled/pushed over existing cable(s), we offer a MicroDuct with a little larger OD, heaver wall but the same inside diameter (ID) as our 12/10mm MicroDuct. Having the heavier wall makes the MicroDuct much stronger with higher pull strengths and crush resistance. Overall just a more durable MicroDuct for tough hand pull installations. It is very common to have both the 12.7/10mm and the 12/10mm MicroDuct on the same route, so we have a simple transition coupler that will connect the two products together. And as the ID s are the same, the installation of the fiber cable will not be effected in any way. The 12.7/10mm MicroDuct is also ideal for installations where you are over-riding a larger copper cable in 4 PVC. Just blow a string into the 4 PVC or use a rodder and attached onto the 12.7mm MicroDuct and push/pull the MicroDuct back by hand. No special tools are required as the OverSheath is easily cut away with the included rip cord. Dura-Line developed a bracket system that will securely hold the MicroDucts in place and avoid possible damages or even fiber breakage. Each bracket will securely hold 8 MicroDucts and is modular, customize for each site. Depending on your specific project applications, the brackets work with both the Riser and Plenum rated MicroDucts. Features: Modular system, grow as needed.
