4 Holder system: Vehicle principle Articulated-frame steering: U-turns made easy On conventional tractors with king-pin steering, only the front wheels are turned and hence run outside the track, requiring wider turns to ensure sufficient clearance for the rear wheels. Thanks to articulatedframe steering, the front and rear end of Holder tractors are steered in precise coordination. Front and rear wheels hence always run in exactly the same track. Attachments can be repositioned even at standstill. Highly accurate manoeuvring is made easy. Drive system: Lever and pedal control The automotive drive system provides two driving modes: dynamic mode for on-road operation and constant mode for work operation. In dynamic mode, just press the accelerator to accelerate your Holder to maximum speed without any interruption of power flow. If needed, speed can be split by half and pulling power be doubled with the electrically shifted low range. In constant mode, the vehicle operates at constant engine and PTO speed while road speed can be controlled independently. The SDS (Special Drive System) allows the PTO speed to be controlled by a throttle lever while controlling the driving speed via the accelerator pedal. Attachment coupling: Convenient and versatile The power lift is easily adjusted to various attachment categories. Lifting and lowering as well as lateral and transverse inclination are controlled from the driver seat. The double-acting hydraulic cylinders are designed to meet any requirement. Attachments can be replaced easily and safely by a only person and without tools. The perfectly located and easily accessible hydraulic connections make attachment changes easy. Two-mass concept: Keeping all wheels on safe ground Good Job! The machine concept of the C-, M- and S-Series has been specifically designed for municipal applications: Cabine at front, engine at rear. This ensures the operator optimal visibility of front-mounted attachments. The space behind the cabine remains available as third attachment space. The optimal weight distribution ensures that the centre of gravity remains in the centre of the vehicle. That s what makes work easy! When driving over an obstacle, the two vehicle sections articulate. This patented articulated steering system divides the vehicle into two masses. Each mass, i.e. front and rear end, has its own traction system, its own centre of gravity, and the load is hence evenly distributed between front and rear. When driving off road, it is actually two vehicles moving independently. This dynamic movement is supported by the Holder wheel load compensation. This balance mechanism creates diagonal counter-forces to ensure that all four wheels remain firmly on the ground. 6 7
