2 How do I prepare for my Exams??? 1. Check that you have a revision list for each subject. 2. Check that you have notes, handouts or diagrams based on each of the revision points. Know what subjects you are going to study each night Make a simple timetable to help you cover each subject It s not enough just to re-read notes!!!!! A Quiet room No TV, No Radio, No Computer Games Concentrate 3. Study each section of your notes 4. Put your notes out of sight, and write down from memory the essential things you have learned. 5. Highlight key words 6. Highlight areas that you still need to learn 7. Use colour to highlight important things 8. Read your notes aloud 9. For diagrams, copy out the diagram and close the book, try to label components or parts Never try to do too much at once!!! Take a break from time to time. Your brain will need a rest. 10. Revise with a friend. Ask each other key questions In the Exam 11. Always read the question carefully 12. Answer all questions 13. Leave any question that is causing you difficulty to the end 14. Always read back over your exam paper. You may have made a simple mistake or even have missed a question.

3 What equipment do I need for my exams???? All pupils should have the following equipment for their examinations. A selection of pens A pencil A rubber and sharpener A ruler Tip - Ex Protractor Colouring pencils Calculator Classroom teachers will not lend the above equipment to pupils. All pupils will be expected to be organised and well equipped for their exams. This equipment should not be lent or passed to another pupil while in the examination venue.
