2 (c) A pressure sensor has an accuracy of ±1.1% of FSD, and a transfer function of 27 mv/kpa. If the output of the sensor is 2.31V, then determine the range of pressures based on the reading. (ii) To monitor the pressure in a pressurized air pipe, giving a visual display of the pressure. (iii) To monitor the level of a water and give a pneumatic signal output. (iv) To monitor a rapidly changing temperature. 7 (c) If the set point is suddenly changed from 50% to 45% with a proportional band setting of 50%, determine the output change of proportional controller. Jika nilai tetapan berubah dari 50% to 45% pada jalur berkadar yang bertetapan 50%, nyatakan perubahan keluaran pada pengawal berkadar tersebut. The controller output is then 50% and operates as a proportional controller with a proportional band of 10%. Determine the controller output and the offset value when the outflow changes to 6 m 2 /h. 8 (e) Consider what will be the controller output value for a three mode controller having Kp as 4, Ki as 0.6/s, K D as 0.5 s, a set point output of 50% and subject to the error change in the figure below (a) immediately the change starts to occur and (b) 2 s after it starts. Pertimbangkan apakah nilai keluaran pengawal bagi tiga mod pengawal yang mempunyai Kp sebanyak 4, Ki sebanyak 0.6/s, Kd sebanyak 0.5 saat. QUESTION 4 (a) Identify the types of logic gates that needed in the following control situations: (i) Part of a chemical plant where an alarm is to be activated if the temperature falls below a certain level, (ii) An automatic door is to open if a person approaches from either side. Devise a ladder program to switch on a pump (P1) the green indicator (G1) for 100s and after pressed the start push button (Start) with the type of normally open contact. Pump (P1) and the green indicator will be switched off and a heater (Heater) and the red indicator (R1) will switched on for 50s. Then the heater and the red indicator will switched off and another pump (P2) is used to empty the water with the yellow indicator (Y1) will switched on for 100s before it switch off the cycle of washing machine automatically. Masalah ini adalah pada dasarnya berkenaan dengan program sebuah mesin basuh domestik. Rangka sebuah program tangga untuk menghidupkan pam (P1) dan penunjuk hijau (G1) untuk 100s selepas menekan butang mula (Start) dengan jenis sesentuh terbuka. Pam (P1) dan penunjuk hijau kemudiannya dimatikan dan sebuah 10 SULIT
10 pemanas (Heater) dengan penunjuk merah (R1) akan dihidupkan selama 50s. Kemudian pemanas dan penunjuk merah tersebut akan dimatikan dan pam lain (P2) dengan penunjuk kuning (Y1) akan digunakan untuk mengosongkan air dimana ia dihidupkan untuk 100s sebelum ia mematikan kitaran mesin basuh tersebut secara automatik.
