4 RUNS RINGS AROUND OTHER SPRAYERS Since its inception, the single beam chassis design that forms the backbone of every RoGator has proven itself in the balance and stability it provides across all types of terrain. That concept remains at the heart of the latest 600D series machines. Designed from the outset for precise weight distribution and excellent groundholding, so that all four wheels benefit from constant maximum traction at all times, the RoGator chassis ensures that even the highest capacity models are easy to operate in restricted yards and awkward field corners. Powerful RoGator 600D engines sit within the chassis to minimise the machine s centre of gravity, aided by a broad, low-profile tank design. In work, with the booms unfolded the sprayer benefits from a perfect 50:50 weight distribution, while manoeuvrability around yards and in field corners is aided by axles with a maximum 35-degree steering angle. In four-wheel steer mode, outer turning radius is just 4.73m and the inner radius 3.14m. Few other high-capacity sprayers can match the RoGator for manoeuvrability. 6 7

5 ADAPTABLE TO ANY CROP Individual wheel suspension ensures excellent ground contact at all times, and allows the RoGator s ride height and its track width to be adapted according to the job in hand. Challenger RoGator 600D sprayers feature the industry s leading suspension, OptiRide. Based on a double-wishbone arrangement, it not only provides smooth travel and minimises shock transfers to the boom, but also allows operators to adjust ride height from the cab at either 75cm or 120cm, to adapt to the crop type and its growth stage. The hydro-pneumatically controlled wheel suspension acts to eliminate all but the most severe lateral and vertical vehicle movements before they reach the boom, while hydropneumatic damping provides for automatic suspension adaption to block the outer two cylinders when making high-speed turns. Automatic constant levelling maintains the set machine height, an invaluable aid on hilly terrain, while the same system also acts to ensure the machine sits level when being filled, regardless of the gradient on which it is sited. The maintenance-free Opti-Track system allows track width to be steplessly adjusted from m hydraulically without leaving the operator s seat, meaning that the process of moving between crop types or beds is just as seamless. Mechanical track width adjustment is also available. 8 9

With RoGator 600D sprayers, a combination of AGCO Power four- and six-cylinder turbocharged engines and TechStar CVT transmissions ensure that s never in question. 16 km/h RoGator 16 km/h 16 km/h RoGator 16 km/h 16 km/h Challenger sprayers are engineered from key components designed and manufactured not by outside suppliers, but in house by Challenger and its parent company, AGCO. At the heart of RoGator 600D models are proven AGCO Power engines a four-cylinder unit in the RG635D and six-cylinder powerplants in the RG645D and RG655D. Producing up to 175, 224 or 242hp respectively, they provide more than sufficient power to climb the steepest hills when fully laden. Engine speed Fuel consumption An automatic RPM control system ensures a optimum engine speed both on the road and in the field to reduce both fuel use and in-cab noise levels, while the same benefits come from an on-demand cooling fan. Service access has been improved by broadening the platform behind the cab, making tasks such as accessing the cooling package and air filter even easier, while the hydraulic oil tank has been relocated her. RoGator 600D models gain integrated fuel and DEF (AdBlue) tanks and increased diesel capacity of 320 litres. All engines use AdBlue DEF technology to meet Stage IV emissions regulations and provide impressive fuel economy. Mid-mounted to the right side of the machine for optimum weight distribution and easy access for servicing, they put their power to the ground via the TechStar CVT transmission, derived from stepless technology and know-how from Challenger s sister brands. This combination, forming a complete AGCOdeveloped powertrain, ensures grip and hill-climbing ability are never in question, while a 40km/hr top speed means travelling time between fields and when returning to the farm to refill is kept to a minimum. 7 NEW STANDARDS IN CAB COMFORT With the new Vision cab, Challenger sets new levels of operator comfort in self-propelled sprayers. Bigger, with improved visibility and greater comfort than its predecessor, it has been designed from scratch by AGCO engineers specifically for self-propelled use. There are no compromises here. There s more of everything on the new Vision cab more space, more glass, more comfort. An integral part of the machine, the new operator accommodation is Category 4 certified, offering the ultimate in protection in terms of air filtration. With the floor 32cm (22%) larger than on the previous RoGator C-Series cab, there s plenty of space for the passenger seat, which contains an integrated storage box capable of both cooling and heating the contents. The extra space brings with it a generous 14.3% (0.5 cu m) interior volume increase, and improved vision through a 1.34 sq m larger windscreen and a total cab glass area up by nearly a quarter (0.4 sq m) an increase of nearly 90%. The full-width rear window offers an unimpeded view of the boom, while ahead the windscreen is completely clear and unimpeded, with a standalone steering column and dash readout, greatly improving forward visibility. The new cab also features an updated climate control system as standard, with an enlarged heavy-duty air-conditioning system producing the same cooling capacity at a lower fan speed, helping to reduce in-cab noise levels

8 INTUITIVE OPERATION Easier, simpler, clearer the completely new operator interface on the 600D series RoGator has been designed to maximise the performance of both the machine and its driver. In addition to designing and manufacturing the RoGator s key mechanical components, Challenger and AGCO created a new Vision cab for the RG600D range, including all-new controls. An ergonomic new armrest puts almost all key sprayer functions at your fingertips, courtesy of a new dedicated-design joystick and an easy-to-navigate set of touchpad keys with functions and controls clearly indicated. A new control terminal with 10.2in screen and AGCOdeveloped software looks after all information and settings, in addition to displaying views from external cameras. It operates machine monitoring, setting and recording software now developed in-house, and provides a split display, allowing different subjects to be monitored at once via a compartmentalised screen. RoGator 600D series sprayers are fitted as standard with aluminium booms, for the best blend of lightness and strength. When folded, they mount on top of the tank rather than to the sides, improving machine transport characteristics and reducing the likelihood of damage. The result is an overall machine width of just 2.55m. Challenger booms are renowned for being among the most rock-steady on the market. Yaw control in particular is a speciality of the RoGator boom design, with the mounting ensuring that sway from side to side is all but eliminated, regardless of the sprayer speed or the ground conditions. Standard specification includes full boom recirculation, while pneumatic or electric nozzle bodies holding up to five individual units can be specified. Section control can switch of as few as two nozzles per time. Spraylines are wide 25mm units feeding up to eight outlets. Horizontal and vertical boom movements caused by the terrain or by the acceleration and deceleration of the vehicle are all but eliminated with the RoGator system of dedicated damper suspension cylinders, while at the same time the system minimises the stresses imposed on the mainframe. Minimising yaw in this way significantly reduces the chance of over or under spraying that can occur as a result of a swaying boom. With a parallelogram boom design and a lift arm hinge point ahead of the rear axle, ensuring the centre frame stays close to the rear axle, movement transferred to the boom is minimal. Each side of the boom can automatically follow ground contours independently, courtesy of Opti-sonic boom control, with ultrasonic sensors maintaining boom height at all times. The boom is protected by breakaway facilities should either side come into contact with an object, while independent left and right tilt functions can compensate for undulating land. 19

The panel is immediately adjacent to the ergonomically-designed induction hopper, lowered on gas struts for ease of fillin Manufactured from 12mm high density polyethylene, with reinforced corners and angles, RoGator tanks are equipped with 500-litre clean water tanks as standard, plus a 600mm inspection hatch, emergency manual drain and an electronic level indicator. Every aspect of the spraypack has been designed to ensure fast intakes, effective mixing and thorough cleaning. The 60-litre induction hopper hinges out on gas strut supports to a convenient 80cm filling height, and swallows liquids and powders at speed, courtesy of a 200 litre/min intake capacity that can also handle 30kg/ min of solids.the pump can also be used to empty the contents of the spray tank into a container or for filling a separate water tank. Storage of protective clothing and sprayer consumables isn t an afterthought of the RoGator design. Cleverly designed into the sprayer body, there is a large chemical stowage box below the cab access steps adjacent to the hand-wash tank and soap dispenser, while an additional storage cabinet for personal protection equipment is located beneath the cab

12 SUPERIOR SPRAYPACKS Much time and effort has been devoted to the design of the new RoGator tanks to ensure even weight distribution around the vehicle and a completely smooth, obstruction-free lining for high-speed, but thorough cleaning through the five nozzles. The tank is constructed using extremely durable, 12 mm high density lightweight polythene, with thicker dimensions on corners and angles. It has a single, 600 mm inspection/filling hatch, 500-litre clean water tank, emergency manual drain and electronic level indicator. The design and specification minimises the risk of contamination or residue and facilitates fast mixing for homogenous product applications. The RoGator 600D tank has been moulded to ensure it exactly and efficiently fits the machine s profile, for perfect weight distribution, full emptying and thorough cleaning. Served by a self-priming centrifugal pump with a capacity of almost 800 litres/minute, driven by its own load-sensing hydraulic supply, the RoGator 600D plumbing system is designed to fill fast and without fuss.
