QUESTION 1 SOALAN 1 (a) A vehicle has 65% load borne by the front wheels. Given that the diameter of each tire is 0.6 m and Zr =0.4W. Tayar hadapan sebuah kenderaan menampung 65% beban. Diberi diameter setiap tayar adalah 0.6 m dan Z r = 0.4W. i. Sketch free body diagram of the vehicle. Lakarkan gambarajah daya bebas bagi kenderaan ini. ii. Calculate L f and L r given that the distance between the front wheel and rear wheel (wheel base) of L = 2.8 m. Kirakan nilai L f dan L r jika jarak dari pusat tayar hadapan hingga pusat tayar belakang adalah 2.8 m. iii. Calculate high center (hc) if the front wheel is at 0.7 m higher than the rear wheels. When one side of the wheels is on the road shoulder, the angle between the left wheel and right wheel is 20. Calculate the high center (hc) of gravity if Z L = 0.6 W. 6 QUESTION 4 SOALAN 4 CLO 2 (a) State TWO (2) factors to maximize acceleration for a moving car Nyatakan DUA (2) faktor untuk mendapatkan pecutan yang maksimum untuk kereta bergerak. [4 marks] [4 markah] CLO 2 (b) Given that a vehicle has the following specifications; Net weight = 2495 kg Wheelbase = 3570mm Assume the car is parked on an uphill road and the distance between front & rear wheels centre are the same to the centre of gravity. The height of the centre of mass to the road surface is h = 670 mm and φ = 30. Diberikan spesifikasi kenderaan seperti berikut: Jisim bersih = 2495 kg Jarak tayar hadapan ke belakang = 3570 mm Anggapkan bahawa kenderaan tersebut di atas jalan menaiki bukit dan jarak titik tengah roda depan ke belakang adalah sama dengan tinggi pusat graviti. Ketinggian pusat graviti kenderaan ini pada permukaan jalan adalah h = 670 mm dan φ = 30 0 i. Draw the free body diagram of the vehicle. Show all the forces acting in the system. 8 (d) Calculate cornering space requirement for Perodua Alza if its minimum radius is 4.2 m, overall width of 1700 mm, wheelbase of 2750 mm and length from front end to center of front tire is 13% from its wheelbase. Kirakan ruang yang diperlukan untuk berpusing bagi Perodua Alza jika jejari minimumnya adalah sebanyak 4.2 m, lebar keseluruhan 1700 mm, jarak tayar 2750 mm dan jarak hujung kenderaan ke titik tengah tayar hadapan adalah sebanyak 13% daripada keseluruhan jarak tayar.
