2 Twinsmotoring pride ourselves in offering friendly and patient introductory driver training and most importantly making learning to drive a fun and enjoyable experience. Twinsmotoring takes pleasure in meeting individual pupil requirements and will tailor a plan to suit you. Whether you are sitting in the driver's seat for the very first time or to further training once you have passed your test such as Motorway driving or Pass Plus. Twinsmotoring are a young and energetic instructor/s who are both friendly and patient. There aim is to make you a safe, courteous and confident driver providing you with all the skills to pass your test and of course more importantly to become a safe driver for life. Based in Hornchurch but covering Essex, Romford, Barking and Dagenham and as far as East London Twinsmotoring can offer driving lessons Twinsmotoring can provide you with all aspects of driving instruction, including Pass Plus, block bookings, refresher and intensive courses, motorway training alongside theory tuition. Twinsmotoring can collect you for your driving lessons from home, school, college/university or place of work and of course drop you back off at the end of your lesson.

3 INFORMATION FOR PUPILS This Highway Code applies to England, Scotland and Wales. The Highway Code is essential reading for everyone. The most vulnerable road users are pedestrians, particularly children, older or disabled people, cyclists, motorcyclists and horse riders. It is important that all road users are aware of The Highway Code and are considerate towards each other. This applies to pedestrians as much as to drivers and riders. Many of the rules in The Highway Code are legal requirements, and if you disobey these rules you are committing a criminal offence. You may be fined, given penalty points on your licence or be disqualified from driving. In the most serious cases you may be sent to prison. Such rules are identified by the use of the words MUST/MUST NOT. In addition, the rule includes an abbreviated reference to the legislation which creates the offence. See anexplanation of the abbreviations. Although failure to comply with the other rules of The Highway Code will not, in itself, cause a person to be prosecuted, The Highway Code may be used in evidence in any court proceedings under the Traffic Acts (see The road user and the law) to establish liability. This includes rules which use advisory wording such as should/should not or do/do not. Knowing and applying the rules contained in The Highway Code could significantly reduce road casualties. Cutting the number of deaths and injuries that occur on our roads every day is a responsibility we all share. The Highway Code can help us discharge that responsibility. 4 FIRST PROVISIONAL DRIVING LICENCE To get your first provisional driving licence online for a car, motorcycle or moped you must: be a resident of Great Britain. meet the minimum age requirement meet the minimum eyesight requirement not be prevented from driving for any reason pay 34 by MasterCard, Visa, Electron, Maestro or Delta debit or credit card have a valid UK passport or other form of identity have your National Insurance number if known provide addresses where you ve lived over the last 3 years Your licence should arrive within one week if you apply online. When you can apply You can apply for a provisional driving licence when you re 15 years and 9 months old. You can start driving when you re: 17 if you want to drive a car 16 if you want to ride a moped or light quad bike Your licence will say when you can start driving different vehicles. You can drive a car when you are 16 if you get, or have applied for, the enhanced rate of the mobility component of Personal Independence Payment (PIP).

5 APPLY FOR YOU FULL DRIVING LICENCE You can apply for your full driving licence as soon as you ve passed your practical driving test. If you have a photocard provisional driving licence, and you haven t changed your name, your examiner will send your driving test pass certificate to the DVLA. You ll receive your full driving licence within 3 weeks. Apply by post If you ve changed your name or you have a paper provisional driving licence, you must: fill in the declaration on your driving test pass certificate fill in a D1 application for a driving licence, available from the DVLA form ordering service or selected Post Offices provide original documents confirming your identity provide a passport photograph (only if you have a paper provisional licence) If you have a photocard provisional licence you must include the paper counterpart.
