1 Hi All, 28/9/2016 This is the penultimate update I will be sending out prior to the event. The final figure is 153 machines confirmed for display at the Classics at Hart 100 years of Motorcycling in South Australia. I would like to thanks you all for participation in the event as I am sure you will have a great time mixing with the visitors & sharing your stories and information on the machines. We have had a good response from members & exhibitors in respect to helping set up and man the various posts, over the course of the display. Bob Cole is drawing up a roster to ensure we share the duties on each day and everyone gets a spell every couple of hours. If you are attending and are able to assist in any way from manning the Door to Floor waking to keep an eye on the exhibits please let us know. On Thursday 13 th October volunteers will be setting out the display, mounting the stage and setting up the Ace Café display. We also have a couple of ramps to construct on site for the Packing Shed. Machine receival As previously stated we would to receive the machines progressively over the course of Friday 14 th October starting at 8.30am. Initially the idea was to start in decade of manufacture groups. But many of you have multiple bikes from different decades so we will need to be flexible in this aspect of the setting up of the display. I would ask if you are making several trips with bikes, you would load bikes from as close to the same decade as possible & in as close to the receival order as possible, as this will help to minimize double handling of machines with in the venue. 2 4.30 pm set up ropes & bollards around bikes 8pm Close down & lock up Please note we will have Volunteers staying on site each night Friday-Saturday-Sunday & the Council have funded a security firm to post a Security Patrol Man outside the venue from Friday 1900-Saturday 0800 & Saturday 1900-Sunday 0800 hours. The event concludes at 5 pm on Sunday. If you are working and are unable to pick your bike up on Monday please let us know so we can make arrangements for you to remove it on Sunday night. Obviously this is not our preferred option as the area will be quite chaotic & the last thing we want to see is damage to anyone s machine because of impatience. This is why we booked the area for Monday, allowing for an organized approach to the removal of exhibits. We will follow the same program for the removal of the bikes on Monday as we used on Friday. The Display will be opened by our Club Patron, the City of Port Adelaide Enfield Council Mayor, Gary Johanson. Who will say a few words about the Classics at Hart & the Classic Owners Motorcycle Club. This will be followed by a few words from The Minister of Transport the Right Honorable Stephen Mulligan who will also say a few words on the suitability of the Venue and future directions of the area. This will be from the entrance to the venue. Then Visitors will be admitted to the Exhibition. Exhibitor s Notes: Upon arrival at the venue (Glass doors on Mundy Street) you will be given a Shannon s Display Pack and asked to go to the Convener s desk to write up your exhibit s information plaque. You will be given a hand to fill this out by one of our volunteers. Then please go to the roller door on Mundy Street to arrange with our steward to move your machine & trailer to the door for unloading. (This should be quite easy as we have arranged for the wharf at the end of Mundy Street to be opened up for cars & trailers to do a simple large radius turn to exit Mundy Street.) Once the bikes are off the trailer we will have a marshalling area inside the Shed so you can move your trailer to the carpark & return for the placement of your machine/s.

3 The floor will be marked out with the area for your bikes decade of manufacture, so it should be a simple process of moving it to its spot with in the display. It would be appreciated if you could wear a name tag with your Club showing while you attend the display. You may get a call to see if you are able to help from a Team Leader. Please if at all possible say Yes!! The Council has prepared an additional 203 parking places at Harts Mill so we shouldn t have any issues with parking at the rear of the venue. We have the final subcommittee meeting on Thursday 6 th October to finalize some aspects of the display.
