White turn indicator glass with 2 LEDs per turn indicator. Enhanced safety on the road, provided by virtually zero-wear LED lights. Considerable reduction in current drain: - The flash frequency has to be changed when LED turn indicators are fitted. In BMW Motorrad 's case this takes place via the CAN bus; all other aftermarket LED flashing turn indicators require the installation of a resistor (which means there is no reduction in power consumption). 5 Sales Service Footbrake lever, adjustable Brake-lever pedal now wider and height-adjustable at the hinge mechanism. - Hinged, double-size footplate patented by BMW. The footbrake is easier to use and control when the rider is standing on the pegs. - Adjusting the height is a no-tools operation; the rider flicks the footplate down before riding off. BMW Navigator IV $ Special points in relation to usage of the Navigator IV on the R 1200 GS (K50): Linked into the vehicle's on-board bus (LIN bus). Convenient and safe use of the essential functions by means of the multicontroller integrated into the left handlebar fitting: - Rider keeps both hands on the handlebars while interfacing with the satnav system. - Press the multicontroller to right or left: Switch between map view, trip computer and media player - Long-press to right or left: Zoom map in/out ("+/-" on the Advanced Mount Cradle). - Turn the multicontroller: Volume control for the BMW Motorrad communication system. Other advantages from integration into the on-board bus (also applicable to the K1600GT/GTL): - Transmission of the VIN for automatic enabling of the Navigator (no need to enter the 4-digit PIN when the Navigator is used on a "known" motorcycle. The VINs for up to 5 different motorcycles can be saved on the Navigator.). - Transfer of residual range from the vehicle to the Navigator. - Transfer of time and date from the navigation system to the motorcycle's instrument panel (automatic correction of the time by Navigator and motorcycle on changing from one time zone to another and also on the changeovers between winter time and daylight saving time). Anti-theft protection: Lock barrel with same-key locking system enables the Navigator IV to be locked into the holder. It is not possible to remove the device once it has been locked in this way. Small, light and multifunctional: - Quicker and easier to snap together and take apart, with snap adapter and ball lock. - Standard bit adapter and standard tool adapter (9x12 mm and 3/8") mean that other components can be added to the kit in accordance with individual preference.
