There is pln for replcement of old mchines nd revmping of cpcity of the Unit. (v) Security Pper Mill, Hoshngbd Security Pper Mill, Hoshngbd which ws estblished in the yer 1968 is responsible for mnufcturing of different types of Security Ppers nd Currency Pper. Ppers mnufctured by this Unit re used for printing of Currency Notes nd Non-Judicil Stmps which re being printed by Currency Note Press, Nshik Rod & Bnk Note Press, Dews nd Indi Security Press nd SPP, Hyderbd. Its production of security ppers during the finncil yer ending 31 st Mrch, 2008 is MTs. (vi) Indi Government Mint, Noid This Mint ws estblished in the yer 1988 to tke cre requirements of Coins. This is one of the modern Mints in the Country. During the finncil yer ended 31 st Mrch, 2008, million pieces of 50 pise coin, million pieces of Rs. 1/- Ferritic Stinless Steel (FSS), million pieces of Rs. 2/- FSS, million pieces of Rs. 5/- FSS nd million pieces of Rs. 5/- Cupro Nickel (CN) were sold by IGM, Noid. (vii) Indi Government Mint, Mumbi This Mint ws estblished in the yer 1829, is one of the oldest Mints of the country, where coins of ll denomintions of non ferrous lloys nd ferritic stinless steel mteril re minted nd mde vilble for circultion in the country. This Mint hs lso got the cpcity of minting medls nd lso refining of gold nd silver nd other metls. The sles of this Unit for the finncil yer ended 31 st Mrch, 2008 is million pieces of Rs. 1/- FSS, million pieces of Rs. 2/- FSS, million pieces of Rs. 5/- FSS nd million pieces of Rs. 5/- CN were sold by IGM, Mumbi (viii) Indi Government Mint, Hyderbd Indi Government Mint, Hyderbd ws originlly strted in the yer 1903 under the domin of the Nizm. However fter finncil integrtion of the erstwhile Hyderbd Stte with the Union of Indi in 1950 the Mint ws tken over by Govt. of Indi. This Mint cme to be known s Indi Govt. Mint, Hyderbd. In the yer 1997 the new Mint t Cherlplli ws estblished. This is the most modern Minting Unit in the country hving refining fcility s well s fcility to mint coins, medls nd medllion. During the finncil yer ended 31 st Mrch, 2008, this Mint hs sold million pieces of Rs. 1/- FSS, million pieces of Rs. 2/- FSS, million pieces of Rs. 5/- FSS nd million pieces of Rs. 5/- CN. (ix) Indi Government Mint, Kolkt Originlly different minting fcilities were creted in nd round Kolktt in the 18 th Century. One of the Mints ws modernized in the yer 1952 nd it ws known s Allipore Mint. Lter on Government of Indi renmed it s Indi Government Mint, Kolktt. 10 Enterprises, Ministry of Hevy Industries nd Public Enterprises hs ctegorized the Compny s Schedule A compny nd informed the sme to the Compny vide OM No. 9(65)/2006-GM dted Eco Friendly opertion nd Energy conservtion In the corresponding yer, one unit of SPMCIL CNP, Nshik hve received Certifiction of ISO 14001:2004 in Environment Mngement System nd BNP, Dews hve got renewl of its ISO14001 for their Eco-friendly opertions. Our Security Pper Mill, Hoshngbd hve reinforced its commitment for eco friendly opertion nd hs succeeded in initil tril for developing non-hzrdous substitute for Melmine Formldehyde. The Compny is gering up for greter energy conservtion. Towrds this end Energy Audit hs been conducted in ll Units of the Compny. Ntionl Productivity Council (NPC) ws engged for the purpose of crrying out energy udit. It hs submitted the drft report nd effective steps re being tken to dopt nd implement energy efficient processes. The proper books of ccounts s required by lw hve been kept by compny so fr s ppers from udit exmintion of those books. For preprtion of compny s ccounts, the brnch uditor s report hve been considered. As per the requirement of The Compnies Act, 1956 the ccounts re giving true nd fir view nd re in conformity with the ccounting principles generlly ccepted in Indi. 2. The pr-wise comments on the Audit Report re s follows: Pr D 2 (c) & (d) As per the Ministry of Finnce O.M dted 10 th Februry, 2006 ll ssets nd libilities hve been tken t the book vlue. Being commercil entity, the units hve been mintining the sset register bsed on the gross block nd the life of the sset were fixed ccordingly. Therefore, the ssets hve been tken in the books of SPMCIL t net block (gross block less deprecition). However, for the deprecition purposes the vlue is being shown t gross block so tht sme technicl life could be continued. This will fcilitte esy clcultion of deprecition without involving the re-fixtion of the life of the sset.
