2 PUBLIC AUCTION NOTICE SALE BY PUBLIC AUCTION: - MOTOR VEHICLES, USED OFFICE FURNITURE & OFFICE EQUIPMENT The NSSF intends to offer for sale through public auction Motor Vehicles, Used Office Furniture and Office Equipment as detailed in the Bidding Catalogue. The detailed catalogue may be obtained from the Procurement Office, NSSF Building, Block A Western Wing, 9 th floor, along Bishops Road, Nairobi upon payment of a non-refundable fee of kes at cash office on podium (P) floor, Western Wing, Block A Social Security House, Nairobi. Alternatively, the catalogue may be downloaded from the website free of charge. Interested bidders who download the catalogue should send their particulars through tender@nssf Kenya.co.ke for registration purposes before the auction date. The public Auction for Motor Vehicles shall be conducted at Social Security House, Parking Silo 6 th Floor along Bishops Road, Nairobi on 14 th June, 2017 starting from 10:00 a.m. The Public Auction for Office Furniture and Equipment shall be conducted in NSSF s go down located on Mara Road, Near Libra House off Mombasa Road, Nairobi, on 15 th June, 2017 starting from 10:00 a.m. The appointed Auctioneer is Mr. D.K. Kariuki of Dikemwa Auctioneers of P.O Box , Nairobi. (Tel: ). Interested bidders may view the Motor Vehicles at Social Security House, Parking Silo, 6 th Floor along Bishops Road, Nairobi on Monday, 12 th June, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The Office Furniture and Equipment may be viewed from the NSSF go down located on Mara Road, Near Libra House off Mombasa Road, Nairobi, on Tuesday 13 th June 2017 from a.m. to 1.00 p.m. Bidders should also familiarise themselves with the Auction conditions detailed in the bidding catalogue. 1

3 CONDITIONS OF SALE BY PUBLIC AUCTION 1. Prospective bidders are advised to view the Motor Vehicles at Social Security House, Parking Silo 6 th Floor, along Bishops Road, Nairobi on Monday, 12 th June, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The Office Furniture and Equipment may be viewed from the NSSF go down located on Mara Road, Near Libra House (Tuskys Supermarket) off Mombasa Road, Nairobi, on Tuesday 13 th June 2017 from a.m. to 1.00 p.m. 2. The prospective bidders shall be required to pay a refundable utilizable deposit of Kshs 20, upon which a bidding number shall be issued to them. The deposits shall be paid to NSSF prior to the date of the auction. 3. At the fall of the hammer, the successful bidder shall be required to pay at least 25% of the bid price either in cash or bankers cheque and thereafter pay the balance within 7 days. The items fully paid for must be removed within the 7 days from the date of sale, failure to which the purchaser shall incur storage charges of kshs.500/per day for the period of 7 days after which the amount already paid will be forfeited and the item (s) be resold at the purchaser s cost. 4. NSSF and the auctioneer shall not take any responsibility for the condition or state of the items purchased as each prospective bidder is expected to have viewed the items prior to the auction date. The sale is on as-is-where-is basis. 5. The bidders are advised to bring the following documents on the date of public auction;- Deposit Receipt of Ksh. 20, ID card or Company / Business Registration Certificate. N/B Only those bidders who will have paid for a Bidding Number will be allowed at the auction venues. All interested bidders are expected to assemble at the auction venue by 9.30am.
