3 Diesel & LPG Challenge for Excellence UniCarriers Corporation started life in December 2011, regarding the current turbulent situation in the world s materials handling industry as a good business opportunity. TCM Corporation also got off to a new start as a member of the UniCarriers Group. The TCM FGE/FD-E1 series of forklift trucks has been designed from the perspective of European customers, focusing on superior ergonomics, better economy, higher performance, increased safety and improved serviceability. Mounted with clean yet powerful engines, the new series provides enhanced environmental friendliness. In particular, the LPG models with electronically controlled engines reduce emissions dramatically, using a three-way catalyst as standard equipment. Those features are all the fruit of our wish to brave the challenge of excellence. The TCM FGE/FD-E1 series has been developed on the strength of our body of tradition and the technology we have nurtured for more than half a century. 4 Comfort Superior operator comfort Floating cabin The shock absorbing system efficiently dampens the cab from engine and road vibrations, and reduces operating noise levels, creating a comfortable working environment for the operator. Still lower noise levels The Eco mode, available on LPG models, reduces the operating noise level even further. 5 Diesel & LPG Ergonomic cockpit The ergonomic operator s compartment offers superb comfort and efficiency. It has, among other features, clear foot space, ample overhead clearance and right-hand location of the hand brake lever. Wide view cabin (Optional) The optional wide view cabin provides an excellent view around the truck, helping to enhance operator control and safety. Premium seat (Optional) A fully-adjustable premium operator s seat, either of PVC or fabric type, is available optionally for operators who want even more comfort. It provides a relaxed working environment for the operator, thus contributing to reduced fatigue and enhanced work efficiency. Fingertip control levers (Optional) For easier operation, the directional and load handling control levers are brought together on the armrest, with the horn switch and the emergency stop switch arranged on the side of the armrest. Either mono-lever or twin-lever load handling controls are available. The armrest can be adjusted for inclination, height and fore-and-aft position. * PVC operator s seat * Twin-lever model 4

6 Safety Fully enhanced safety Antiroll mechanism for assured safety while turning The maintenance-free antiroll control system enhances the lateral stability of the truck and provides safety during turns. Interlock system The load handling system will be locked automatically when the operator leaves his seat. If the operator leaves his seat with the transmission control not in neutral, the transmission solenoids for forward and backward travel will be turned off within 3 seconds, thus disabling the truck s travel system. Rubber stabilizer dedicated to more stable operation Warning: This system does not guarantee the avoidance of accidents or prevention of vehicle overturns. 5

7 Diesel & LPG Wide view, two-stage mast The way the lift chains are arranged outside the mast channels dramatically improves the operator s view forward. Travel speed control (Optional) On LPG models, the operator can choose High Speed Mode or Low Speed Mode, depending on the traffic rules at the worksite. Automatic engine cut-off If the hood is opened with the engine running, the engine will be shut down automatically. Neutral safety mechanism This safety feature keeps the engine from starting unless the direction change lever is in the neutral position. Password entry A maximum of five PIN (personal identification number) codes can be set up. The operating hours of a truck can be counted independently for each PIN number. Hand brake warning buzzer A buzzer will sound if the hand brake is not applied when the starter switch is turned off. 6

8 Easy maintenance Quick and easy routine maintenance and service Hood with two gas dampers The hood opens wide because it has two lockable gas dampers. The floorboard can also be detached easily for better maintenance accessibility. 7

9 Diesel & LPG A self-checking display The display not only provides warning indications in the event of a problem, but also offers an interactive self-checking process which outlines solutions to various problems according to the troubleshooting guide. In addition, it reminds the operator of the need for periodic servicing based on the operating hours recorded in the hour meter Multipurpose warning 2. Engine check (LPG model only) 3. CAN bus Communication system Real-time data communication between the ECU, VCM and LCD allows the operator to get information on the truck s operating status through the LCD monitor at any time in all working environments. This system helps prevent the truck from failing to operate normally, contributing to substantially improving the serviceability and reliability of the truck. Swing-down type LPG cylinder (Optional) The LPG bracket has a gas spring to reduce the effort of removing and replacing the LPG cylinders. 10 Ecology Enhanced environmental friendliness, to preserve the environment for future generations Kind to the planet Power/Eco mode The LPG models come with the Power/Eco mode, which is more considerate of the environment, because less fuel is consumed and the noise level is reduced. Low-power-consumption lights (Optional) LED headlights, the rear work light and rear combination lights are optionally available. 11 Diesel & LPG Clean engines (Nissan) K21/K25 LPG engines with CAN bus Communication system An electronically-controlled engine incorporating the CAN bus Communication system controls the amount of fuel and air sent to the engine, resulting in especially small amounts of exhaust as well as better fuel economy. In addition, the standard three-way catalytic muffler minimizes emissions.
