6 Articulated Dump Trucks Moving material between two places is easy with Komatsu s Articulated Dump Trucks (ADTs). These trucks have been designed from the ground up to suit many load & haul applications. A perfectly matched engine and transmission assembly, coupled with a low centre of gravity chassis and full hydropneumatic suspension, achieve high travel speeds, maintain optimal performance and provide top-class operator comfort. High capacity, reliable, continuously cooled, wet-type multiple disc brakes function as a highly responsive retarder, giving the operator greater confidence when travelling downhill at accelerated speeds. Sealed for perfect protection from outside contamination, these brakes require minimum maintenance and have a long lifetime. HM300-2 and HM400-2 have oil-cooled multiple-disc interaxle lock. In addition, the HM300-2 has limited-slip differentials to reduce slippage on soft ground, and the HM400-2 has differential lock which can be turned on or off at any time during travel. Differential lock can lock up all three axles for maximum traction in the toughest of terrains.
